Healthy nutrition plays a huge role in a persons overall health and well-being. Even so, it’s not about perfection, it’s simply about being mindful about our choices. Making healthier choices most of the time while allowing for occasional indulgences allows us to make healthy choices without feeling deprived.

By providing a clear roadmap and positive support along the way I help my clients develop healthier habits with regards to exercise, nutrition and wellness/recovery.

The secret to creating and sustaining body composition changes is consistency! Consistency with workouts, nutrition and recovery actions leads to measurable and sustainable change.

The thing I enjoy most about my work as a fitness professional is celebrating the wins with my clients!

When I chose to intensify my focus on my own health and wellness journey I was extremely overwhelmed by all of the conflicting information and advice. In an attempt to help decipher what was real and what was false I began researching fitness and nutrition from the most basic science to the most current studies. I decided I wanted to help others navigate their way through this mass of confusing information. Helping guide a client from a place of confusion to a place of clarity is just part of the support a fitness professional can provide. I strive to help my clients move from confusion, through clarity and into confidence in their own understanding of basic health and fitness principles.

I take each and every client’s personal goals very seriously! Every individual responds to coaching and programming differently so I strive to customize all aspects of coaching to the individual and their personal needs.

Coaching is all about effective communication! That communication can take place either in person or online and still be extremely effective. The majority of my clients train remotely and enjoy consistent measurable results.

While online/remote training has been a large part of my work for several years, the COVID-19 situation has helped refine my delivery of coaching and programming to my clients. In person work can be approached in whatever manner the client feels most comfortable.

Services

Exercise programming and instruction to help clients create strong muscles, joints and bones in addition to building lean muscle mass. This is what most people would refer to as “toning up“.

Metabolic conditioning (MetCon) is a special combination of cardio and strength workouts. The purpose of metabolic conditioning is to maximize the efficiency of your body to perform better in physical activities or develop your desired physique. One added benefit is the calorie burn even after your workout is finished.

Endurance training is the act of exercising in a way that increases the body’s ability to withstand activity for extended periods of time. In general, this type of exercise training refers to cardio activities such as running, swimming, hiking or cycling. A person looking to run their first 5k would focus on endurance training.

Balance is the ability to control your body’s position, whether stationary (i.e. a complex yoga pose) or while moving (e.g. skiing). Flexibility is the ability of a joint or series of joints to move through an unrestricted, pain free range of motion. Mobility is the ability to control movement through that range of motion. Training these three items results in something very simple…it helps a person move better! Moving better makes sports, activities and daily life easier and more enjoyable for everyone!

Changing your physical appearance, or “body composition”, requires a combination of physical activity and nutrition. Whether it’s reducing body fat or gaining lean muscle, optimizing nutrition is a huge part of success! With our nutritional guidance clients will receive personalized macro nutrient targets, progressive habit goals and learn how to prep and create healthy meals.
