It is a convenient for going to downtown. There is a connected train from the airport to the city. However I used Lyft and just took about 20mins to a hotel in downtown.

Staff put me on the wrong shuttle to the wrong terminal. The porter kept asking if I tipped for pushing my wheelchair, which was really tacky. Then, I was passed off to another porter that was on a personal call trying to solicit illicit photos. Again, very tacky. Then, the flight was delayed for maintenance. Overall, it worked out. More...

We were in PHL for a brief layover and, in all our travels, hadn't been to this airport before. While it's always interesting to see new airports, we had a tight connection so we didn't get to see as much as we'd liked. My main impression of PHL (during all of the 45 minutes we were there) was that it could stand some updating. Maybe it was because of the terminal we were in (and I don't recall which one), but it definitely felt dated. There were the ever-present cavalcade of shops that you find in every airport terminal, along with some local flavor, but nothing stood out. We stopped into one of the many gift shops (isn't there one every 38 or so feet) to get a shot glass. (We collect shot glasses and get them everywhere we go) and I ended up purchasing a shot glass that had the entire Declaration of Independence inscribed on the side. (It'll sit next to the one with the Gettysburg Address that we got at the Abraham Lincoln library/museum in Springfield, IL). Oddly, this is one of the flights we took where we didn't have to go from one terminal to another. We flew into one gate and our next gate was, literally, 7 away. It's nice to be able to not have to beat feet to get to your next flight. So, dated, yes, but it looked like a nice airport. I wouldn't mind a longer layover some time so we can see more and actually sit down to have something to eat at one of the local eateries in the terminal. More...

A Terminal is great. So is F. The majority of the place, B through E, is horribly designed with nowhere near the seating required so the halls are jammed at boarding time. Ugh!!

Let's start with the great handi accessibility transport and TSA support. Being handiabled is hard enough traveling. They made it a little easier. Phenomenal service. Delta staff at the gate was not the nicest. More...

Refreshing.... Quaint and straight to point. Nice vendors, and esthetically pleasing. Interesting little walk to baggage claim.

The pickup situation at this airport is an unsafe, overcrowded mess. People remain parked on the Arrivals terminal waiting for passengers even though at basically any other airport in the country that is strictly prohibited. The parked cars combined with the tiny three lane road equates to a major backup of cars during busy travel times. I don't get it - every other airport has this figured out and it works just fine. Meanwhile as I stand waiting for thirty minutes for my ride to push through the traffic, there's an entitled clown in a BMW parked in front of me who has been there for long before I started waiting - it's ridiculous. Set aside the inconvenience, it's gotta be a huge safety issue. Every other airport I can think of has security assigned to clear out stopped cars. At PHL they just post up for nearly an hour outside the arrivals exits. It's ridiculous. That aside, the newer terminal in this airport is decent, but the TSA line is always a confusing mess with a long wait. TSA wait from the time we entered the line was 54 minutes at 4am. There weren't that many people - ORD and LAX processed way more in less than half the time. PHL simply had too few lines and for whatever reason the process between the lines was different? Different bins and people giving different instructions. TSA needs an overhaul in general but it's especially bad at PHL. Give yourself substantial extra time if it's any sort of busy travel season. How it's 2023 and we still haven't figured this stuff out is beyond me. More...

When I moved to a location where I had to use Philadelphia Airport, I didn’t think much into it, until I had to use it. It’s a bus stop with airplanes. First airport where I see homeless people sleeping around the airport. When I was at baggage claim, panhandlers were there begging for money. The bathrooms by baggage claim smelled like straight piss. What confuses me is that it is one of the more expensive airports to fly out of. No clue how something with so many security protocols can be so unsafe and disgusting. Very few options in the terminal to keep you occupied before your flight. Also, a confusing layout. Just look gross! More...

Decent airport. Good selection of stores and security always went by pretty fast. It would be nice if they incorporated clear into more of their terminals. I flew American Airlines and it was pretty easy. The lounges and restaurants were fine. Lots of people standing in the main hallway. More...

How in heaven’s name did this airport get a review of 3.8 ???? I’m very confused. I only give this airport a one so that I can write this review . They deserve a zero. 11|26|2023 Frontier airlines ((I’ll get to their review in a minute) 6:30am flight. The verbal abuse from the OLD ladies directing the lines was insane. You couldn’t utter a question to them without them literally getting up close and personal in your face shouting “get out my face and keep walking “ . I could only conclude that this job of directing people into lines is the Best job they have ever had. Their behavior told me that they are not educated and might be school drop outs .Not much difference with the TSA agents . Listen people …traverse this airport at your own risk… ensure your mental faculties are in check because I can see a lot of not so nice encounters with them. I don’t wish them well because they messed up some people mentally. My prayer is that they receive the same energy they put out multiplied ten times over . More...

Growing up in Philly I have gotten use to this port and it serves its purpose. However, with the abundance of talent we have in this city, we can make it more aesthetically pleasing.
