First let me tell you the difference between a Bookkeeper and Accountant.
A Bookkeeper is more focused on the on-going basis of your financials with reporting, reconciling, paying bills, and monitoring your budgets and financial goals You may need both a bookkeeper and an accountant, or you may need one or the other. It's common that business owners only consult with their accountant at the end of the year to close the books and prepare for taxes. Many home service businesses don't even have full-time accountants.

I don't exactly know how to describe this without sounding a little bit crazy. I love numbers. I think in numbers. I do calculations in my head and love it. I even have a pretty extensive budget spreadsheet for personal expenses. Now I am not a genius mathematician by any stretch of the imagination. I just think in numbers. Artists see colors and shapes. Baseball players see how the play is going to go.

After 20 years building a lucrative but very stressful Management career in Banking, I decided at 45 I needed to stop and rethink the rest of my life. I really wanted to start my own business and I loved animals so I started a Pet Sitting business. Unfortunately, I didn't think about how long it would take me get it to be profitable. That didn't stop me, I had a successful business for over 10 years. But in the beginning I needed to be practical and I asked a friend who owned his own business if he had a job I could do. And he said..."Why don't you do my bookkeeping?" And I did. For almost 20 years. From home with once a week visits into the office. Best job ever. So when Covid decided to stick around, I started to think about what I could do that would allow me to stay safe and help with my Grandson's zoom classes when my daughter had to go to work. And you are now all caught up.

I use both Quickbooks Desktop Pro and Quickbooks Online. Again options for you. We are small and can be more flexible than the bigger Bookkeeping services. We will be as available as you need us to be for questions, financial report reviews, or issues.

We are located in Bear, DE. At this time, we provide our bookkeeping services remotely. We have secured options for uploading documents. We use Zoom or phone for remote meetings. We use QB Desktop and QB online so we have the option of sharing files when required. If you are local and want to physically transfer documents we can work that out to.
When Covid restrictions begin to open up, I will be very happy to begin to do some face to face meetings for our local clients.
