Move On from these movers. Several miscues added unnecessary stress to an interstate move. Prolonged delay in providing Certificate of Insurance info produced uncertainty until the day before moving. Paid for a 4-hour "unloading window" in a condo-8a.m.-noon. Movers arrived at 10:45 a.m. Had to beg building for an additional 2 hours which,thankfully, was available. Once company secures your 50% deposit, it uses programmed messages to "communicate". Never received any communication or explanation of the service missteps or offer to make things "right". More...

Aiden and Courtney helped us with our move from Nashville to NC. They were on time, friendly, and hard working! They made sure everything was packed well to ensure our items made it safely to our new home. They also took extra measures to not scratch up our new flooring! The WORST moving company in Nashville. We moved from Murfreesboro to Clarksville just a few weeks ago. Our move was from a rental to a BRAND NEW home with hardwood, a wrought iron stair case, and marble tile in the wet areas. The three movers destroyed my new home. They scratched my hardwood to the point that the gouges will have to be fixed with wood filler. They cracked my marble tile in multiple places. They tracked mud upstairs on my new carpet. They left huge gouges and scrapes on my walls to the point that we are going to have to paint our entire house. They broke my wrought iron staircase which will need extensive repairs to strengthen its connection to the stairs. They broke solid wood (Henredon) furniture that has withstood the test of time. It was family heirloom furniture. We had to throw away our book shelves, kitchen carts, and several pieces of framed art work that was packed in boxes made for fragile items. One of the movers was older and he left clearly labeled boxes all over the place. Half of our furniture wasn't carried upstairs. The furniture they did carry up was hidden in corners so that it would take time for us to notice is was broken. Every single box was labeled. Every single room was labeled with directions and arrows all over the house. We still can't find 1/2 of our items in boxes because the boxes were left everywhere. Why bother to label boxes when no one follows the directions? Worst of all, when it started to rain, they stopped working, all the while sitting in beach chairs in my garage drinking water and Gatorade that I bought for them cutting up and having a great time. They were still on the clock. An hour and 1/2 later they get up and start working again. They toss the rest of the stuff in the garage and came in to unwrap the furniture. That took them one hour. They should have unwrapped the furniture while it was raining. The movers were told that I was having back surgery in a week and that I could not carry heavy boxes upstairs. They left all of our wardrobe boxes in the garage. They left four pieces of heavy furniture in the living room. I had to spend even more money to get someone else to move the furniture and wardrobes upstairs. I begged for help and was ignored. Then, they have the audacity to attempt to charge me for the full amount of the move. Can you believe that? I'm laying in a hospital flat on my back from intensive surgery and my phone is buzzing - it's overdraft fees due to be charged, not once, not twice, but THREE times for my move. They cleaned out my bank account. These people are frauds. Stay away or they will do the same to you. Sadly, I could go on for hours about the damage they did to the rental we moved out of. It's worse than the new house. Lazy, incompetent, and fraudulent. That's the best and most simple description I can give you for MoveOn. Do yourself a favor and MoveOn to someone else. More...

I had a great experience with Move-On. I did the prep work, taking apart beds and boxing everything, and also used moving stretch film to wrap parts together. I think this step really helped speed things up when the movers arrived since this is the slow tedious part, and any company that cares about your possessions is not going to hurry it. So Move-On's part was taking everything out of the house and packing the truck, getting it to the new house and unloading into the rooms. They did a great job. For being paid hourly they worked quickly and consistently the way I would, and handled things carefully. I had Cordell and Dominic (not sure if those are the correct spellings), but they were friendly but efficient. I'm fully satisfied and would choose them again. More...

I recommended Move On to family and friends after the wonderful job they did with my move.  Now I am embarrassed and upset with a horrific job they did in moving my family members!  We were scheduled to have two large moving trucks.  When the movers called to say they were on the way, they informed us that they were "out of trucks" and would only be bringing one truck for our move.  After a call to the office, we were informed that they could rent a second truck, but the dispatchers messed up this morning.  Kate promised a second truck and a fifth man (Trey, a manager) for free.  We were satisfied with this and happy to have a manager oversee the move. The second truck showed up close to an hour and a half late with the fifth man but not the manager.  The day continued downhill from there.  The men were terribly slow at packing furniture and loading the trucks.  At one point, the leader of the crew became agitated and yelled at my mother asking her if she would prefer us to just break all the furniture instead of packing it.  He was very rude and informed us we should not have talked to Kate about the teams efficiency.  After an hour and a half lunch break (including getting lost), the movers were headed to the new house.  The movers left the first house messy with their equipment, packing supplies and empty drink bottles across the home.  The movers were careful with unloading the furniture, but several pieces of furniture arrived broken, dirty and with missing parts.  The estimated time for our move was 7.5 hours, and the move (with an extra man) took over 12. The crew leader tried to tell me he was saving us money by stopping the clock early and not charging us time for "folding up the blankets in the truck".  The home was left in shambles.   Overall the team was rude, slow and inconsiderate. This made what should have been a happy occasion stress-filled.  While Kate was helpful in the logistics when things when arise, the crew leaders made us feel uncomfortable and that we should not  elevate issues.  I would never recommend this company again. I highly recommend Move On Relocation. Their office staff was delightful when explaining their service, the price was very reasonable for all the work they did, and the three men who packed everything up and delivered to me were superior workmen who were kind and had a great sense of humor. The furniture, TV, family photos and artwork were carefully wrapped and (unlike my experience with other movers) were delivered in perfect condition. Move On did our move September 15, and they were absolute machines!! We were completely out of our old place and in the new one within 4. 5 hours! The team was also incredibly efficient, courteous, and willing to go above and beyond to make sure we were happy. One of the men (TJ) helped put together a toy for my daughter, which was completely unexpected and helpful, and the team leader, Tre, made sure to ask numerous times if they could help me move some furniture in order for me to place a rug underneath it or a number of other thoughtful actions. I cannot say enough good things about Move On, but here are two things that really stood out to me:<br><br>1. They really did go out of their way to carefully pad / shrink-wrap everything before loading the truck. When they say they treat everything as though they were heirlooms from your grandmother, they really mean it.<br><br>2. I was really impressed with how polite the movers were. These guys are moving machines! If they took breaks, it was for about 30 seconds and were right back at it. They def weren’t wasting any time! Two guys unloaded a FULL semi in no time with absolutely no damages. No marks on the walls or floors. They took excellent care of our things! I am so pleased with my experience from Move On!  Moving is never easy, especially when I'm involved, but the Move On team made it smooth and hassle free!  Not only were the punctual, but my quote estimate was spot-on.  I really appreciated the transparency Toddy provided over the phone - he was incredibly helpful.  The movers were friendly and one of the hardest working teams I've ever used to move...not to mention the fact that they moved me on the hottest day of the year (literally - no exaggeration) and did it without complaints.  I can't say enough positive remarks about Darius and the other movers (I can't recall their names right now, but they were equally amazing).  If you're looking for a top of the line, professional team, I gladly recommend Move On...you won't be disappointed! Awful. Move on claims to be the 'high end' mover, but it appears these people are just high.  This was a TERRIBLE experience.   First, let me say that we did have a complicated move. Our stuff was to be picked up on a Fri, stored, and delivered 2.1 miles away on the following Wed.  They showed up on moving day with 5 guys- more than enough to do the job.  The movers were even nice &amp; polite.  BUT - At the end of the day, they pulled off and left 11 full boxes.  No effort was made to double check the house.  As they were pulling out I asked them if they were planning on taking the TV that was on the living room wall.  Chris, the cheif stoner, told me they had forgotten it. FORGOT? It's on the wall of the room you have to walk through every time you walk in or out.  They left over a dozen empty bottles and wrappers in the house and more in the front yard as if this were a construction site and not a house that just sold for $700K+.  They left 2 giant things in the back yard (kids playhouse and slide).  I spent over an hour packing up my own truck, driving over to the new house (some of the items were to be stored in the garage).  When I arrived (over an hour after they left my house 2.1 miles away) they STILL had not arrived.  I unloaded my entire truck, another 30 minutes. They finally arrived as I was pulling out.  I reminded them of what they left.  They promised to go back and get the large yard items.  Guess what never happened. When I returned later that evening to lock the new house up, I saw the forgotten TV, just jammed between two pieces of furniture without any packing or padding.  Guess who's now got a TV with big scratches all over it?<br>    The next day I called and spoke with the manager, told them of my displeasure as well as my intent to review them poorly online.  At this point the owner asked to speak with me.  He argued with me that I shouldn't leave a poor review and gave me every excuse.  Then finally he said "well, if you're gonna leave the review at least put down that you turned down a 100% free move."  Well, this was the first I'd heard of it, but for a $3K move, I'll try to be understanding.  But, it only gets worse from there.<br>     They showed up on the next move day, but not before the director of operations calls to inform us that the owner only meant the 1st day of moving was free (he specifically said "I'm giving you a $3000 move for free) and said they wouldn't deliver the goods until we agreed that this NEW deal was the one we'd agreed to.  What choice did we have?  Wait it out without any clothes, pots, pans, etc until the court battle was done?  They knew they had us held hostage and that we couldn't fight them.  SO, they finally arrive.  They absolutely destroyed the brand new house (new construction) - every door frame is nicked, walls are covered in marks.  Aside from the scratched TV they broke 2 pieces of furniture.  They put innumerable boxes in places where they were not supposed to go. Despite the fact that every box was meticulously labeled (And furniture had stickers denoting room destination) they asked EVERY TIME they walked in with another load - they didn't bother reading a single one, essentially making my wife and I stand there and point out where everything went &amp; tying us up all day.  They didn't bring ANY of the initial shipment in from the garage.  They tried to leave without bringing in the washer and dryer and hooking them up, part of the service.  We had to stop them and remind them before they left.  After they left we noticed the dryer was, in fact, NOT hooked up.  When we called the office, Chris called us back and said "Oh yeah, meant to tell you, I couldn't get that hose on.  Nice.  In addition, one dangerously overweight mover fell off the truck while screwing around and the ONLY reason he didn't end up in the hospital (opening us up to a giant potential lawsuit) is that he got himself hung up in the back door strap of the truck. He came to rest with his head, LITERALLY, 1 1/2 inches from the ground.  Terrifying.  So to recap-<br>1) Erratic behavior by movers<br>2) Have to constantly babysit the movers &amp; remind them of their job<br>3) Dozens of items forgotten items<br>4) Lying management<br>5) Shoddy work<br>6) Left a mess (garbage)<br>7) Damaged goods AND home<br>8) Near escape from liability/lawsuit due to mover negligence<br>9) Incomplete job<br>10) STILL cost me nearly $3K, even after my 'discount' (how they calculated that I'll not even pretend to understand)<br>Between growing up as a military/D.O.D brat &amp; career reasons as an adult, I've made major moves 14 times in my life.  This was one of the most expensive and most certainly the very worst<br>Update: in his response to this review he claims to have given me $3K off this move. Well, I paid almost $3K. Is a $6000 moving job? Interesting. We were quoted $3500. I'll post the receipt. Also, Drug paraphernalia? Hilarious. I'm sure I have a box labeled that. I honestly feel like giving this moving company even one star is too much. I spoke with the co-owner on the phone and got a quote of $1650. This was to partially pack and move 1700 feet of moderately furnished living space over 2 days. <br><br>On day one, 3 men showed up an hour and 45 minutes late. One of the three told me right away that this was his first ever assignment and time being out with the company. He said he had no experience moving and packing. While he was very nice, he was so slow and asked so many questions of the other movers that I could sense they were getting highly perturbed quickly. <br><br>The second mover, Paul, had a nice attitude when he didn't have his ear buds in and his music on full blast. He just sort of zoned out. I found him in my kitchen shrink wrapping the contents of my refrigerator. I have never seen a mover pack refrigerated contents, much less shrink wrap them. <br><br>The third mover, Chris, who was the supervisor, was nice but terribly slow. He spent most of his time on the phone or on his company-issued iPad style device. He offered no direction for the other two movers, and I had to repeatedly tell him about things that were going awry. <br><br>The first day was spent packing the kitchen only, and loading the truck to take furniture to the new house. I felt like these guys were working in slow motion. I am a former military spouse, and have moved 11 times in 14 years. Never, ever have I encountered movers who were so slow. In retrospect, it makes sense, given that they were paid by the hour. <br><br>The second day, only Chris and Paul showed up. The younger new guy was "off on another assignment." I had been sold hard on getting 3 guys because it would overall "reduce cost, as 3 guys working at once would be cheaper than 2...." - this and other things I was told by the co-owner of Move On, Toddy Caldwell, when setting up the job and getting the quote. <br><br>When Chris told me the total, which came to $2,700, I was really shocked. I couldn't believe I was having to pay this company more than a mortgage payment to move my belongings 1.4 miles. <br><br>Toddy was nice but incredibly schmoozy on the phone. This goes along with his persona, where he prances around Nashville in a fur coat and little else. Even their ads have featured him in his little white fur coat. If anyone wants a really great experience moving - in my case from one state to another, but they also do local moves - then Move On is the company you want. Tre and Darius did an awesome job. I was told Tre is their best packer and he lived up to his reputation. I was worried our stuff would mot all fit into a 27 foot truck so i began to give things away. Still I was not sure. At the end of the day there was not more than 6 inches of space between the last of my things and the door. These two guys work well together. They were pleasant, helpful, careful, and thoughtful about how to protect my property. Everything was delivered on time and in great condition. Darius deserves a big bonus all his hard work - especially the stairs - we moved yo a loft apartment > not one complaint, always cheerful. Tre deserves a big bonus for doing what all my friends thought was impossible > getting it all on the truck! Keep up the great work you two! Had Move ON help us with move in Nashville. Crew did a great job and did not damage anything that they moved. My only reason for the 4 not 5 star is the crew went over one the estimate by an hour, that I felt was caused by slow movement at some points through-out the move. After reading every single review on Yelp and talking to about five real estate agents i selected Move On for my move because they were the only company that didnt have any bad reviews with heartbreaking stories of broken antiques and subsequent disputes about repairs.  Move On was also the company that came out and gave the most thoughtful and comprehensive estimate.  Since i had a LOT of antiques and art this was important.  The move took three days - one day of packing, two days of moving, in the rain.  I didnt hear a single complaint.  All of my furniture and household goods were well wrapped, even light bulbs., and food from the snack cabinet.  They clearly labeled every box.  There was really good morale the entire move, even when i asked the guys to move heavy pieces up to the third floor attic.  I was comfortable having every one of these guys in my house.  The supervisor, Ahmad, called regularly and stopped by to make sure the move was going well.  I want to thank all of the moving team - i think i can still name them all: Tre, Q, Paul, Darius, Chris, Sam and Curtis.  I know this review is almost too good to be true, but at the end of the move, i didnt have a single complaint.  I dont think they are the cheapest you can find, but if you really value your stuff, this is a great way to use your money to make your move as low stress as possible. We had a than fabulous experience with Move On during our recent move. From planning, to packing, and then to actually moving us, Move On couldn't have been more organized, professional, or caring about our move and seeing that our items were safely transported and moved into our new home. On the admin side, Toddy was wonderful to work with & made the whole moving process be as simple & seamless for us as he possibly could. Milan & Q, our actual movers, were incredibly diligent in seeing that our furniture was perfectly wrapped and packed in the truck as safely as possible. Milan & Q took the time necessary to move our items as best possible without having a glitch, but were also efficient with their time as well as ours. I CAN NOT recommend Darius and Trey from Move On Moving Co. enough!!!! We moved my mom from her home of over 40 yrs into an assisted living facility today. Needless to say, it was a long, emotional and stressful couple of days. "Moving Day" loomed out there like a feared operation...filled with uncertainty and anxiety. Darius and Trey arrived right on time. Came in the house, introduced themselves to my mom and began talking to her like they'd gone to school with us kids. They were beyond professional and kind during the madness of friends and family coming and going. They moved the typical casual pieces of coffee tables and sofas. They also moved an antique 8' wood and glass secretary and a 100 yr old desk with the same care they would move their own mother's cherished heirlooms. The whole time gingerly avoiding a low hanging antique chandelier in the foyer. They kindly smiled following me from room to room as I added random pieces to the move hours after our initial walk through. As a Realtor, I've been involved in hundreds of moves with countless movers. I would never consider having anyone but Trey and Darius move my own mother to her new home. I CAN NOT recommend Darius and Trey from Move On Moving Co. enough!!!!  We moved my mom from her home of over 40 yrs into an assisted living facility today.  Needless to say, it was a long, emotional and stressful couple of days.  "Moving Day" loomed out there like a feared operation...filled with uncertainty and anxiety.  <br><br>Darius and Trey arrived right on time.  Came in the house, introduced themselves to my mom and began talking to her like they'd gone to school with us kids.  They were beyond professional and kind during the madness of friends and family coming and going. <br><br>They moved the typical casual pieces of coffee tables and sofas.  They also moved an antique 8' wood and glass secretary and a 100 yr old desk with the same care they would move their own mother's cherished heirlooms. I set my move up with Bryce via email and he was a breeze to work with. He didn't hassle me once he provided my quote but was quick to respond to any questions I had leading up to the move. <br><br>Chris and Que were my movers and they showed up right on time... maybe a few early. I jokingly told Bryce to send me his best two movers and I think he really did! These guys were professional but were also great guys to chat with. I have moved a lot and I swear by movers, but I have never gotten out of one place and into another so quick. AND NOTHING WAS BROKEN! I honestly feel like they are under charging for services because their's is about as perfect as it can get, but I hope they don't raise rates because I will be using them again. :)<br><br>Use these guys... then tell all your friends, so that you never have to hear about another moving horror story. I highly recommend Move On ! Milan , Chris and Que all helped me move a FULL truck load in 95 degree weather. <br>What impressed me the most was their curtesy and respect for my wishes and belongings .  Let me tell you they gave me everything I asked for and more! <br><br>I had  used another moving company last time and I was pleased with them. I called that moving company first and after about 10 emails back-and-forth they still could not give me a quote even after I sent them an inventory.  It was becoming such a hardship just to get a simple quote  of them I decided to try another company. Who knows what's going on with that company maybe they're under new ownership or something? ( I will write a review on them after I get settled in) . <br><br>I had about a two minute phone call with MoveOn they gave me a flat fee hourly and an agreement was made. No hidden prices or fees. <br><br>I had everything boxed up and labeled when they got here but Milan  even took the extra care of wrapping my furniture to keep it from being damaged.    They were so quiet and quick as they worked I was astonished. When we got to my new place they even set my bed up for me without even asking. PERFECT!! Let me tell you by that time of the day I was pretty much out of service and sitting on the recliner. I was thinking to myself on that soft recliner " I don't know how much this is going to cost but whatever it cost it is certainly worth every penny!!"<br><br>As I was moving into a home that I had just had the hardwood floors refinished and restained  and the walls were freshly painted I had asked them to please try to be so careful not to damage the new hardwood floors or paint. They did an excellent job of that painstakingly taking the time that was needed to fit the larger pieces of furniture around corners, stairways and such. Now keep in mind this is after LOADING the full truck in 95 degree humid Tennessee heat. Upon arriving to the new home they still gave me their all and I know they had to be very exhausted physically. <br><br>I wish this company the very best I believe they must be a little bit newer I would certainly tell you to give them a try with no hesitation! <br><br>Thank You again Milan, Chris and Que you have no idea how much I appreciate <br>Your efforts and professionalism.
