finished the 6 week challenge and I feel great!!!! I lost 19 pounds in the 6 weeks .The trainers are amazing always push us hard to reach our goals. I would for sure do this again! Overall, I’ve had a very positive experience at Progressive Athletics. I had success with the 6 Week Challenge and would highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking to get started on the path to fitness. The workouts were challenging at first, but by the end, I was excited about the challenge. No two workouts were the same and they incorporated many different exercises that targeted similar muscle groups. The coaches I worked with were both great and each had their own personality. Having to sign up for the workouts in advanced, actually going to a gym, and having fellow members going through the same struggles were real motivators for me to be successful in this program. I was a little weary of this establishment after finding out the 42 Day Challenge was not actually a free voucher as advertised and I had to pay a fee up front which would be refunded if I successfully completed the program, but I’m glad I went through with it! My only real criticism is the claimed “Customized nutrition program based on your goals”. After providing solely my weight, height, and age, I was handed a sheet with amounts of foods I could eat broken in to categories and when I could choose a food from each category. Never were my goals discussed or was I asked how active I was outside the gym. There were no check-ins to see how I was progressing throughout the program nutritionally or any adjustments made regarding my progress. In conclusion, my overall experience was very positive, the coaches were great, workouts were engaging, I was motivated to finish the program and would highly recommend it. I came across Progressive Athletics' 6 week boot camp challenge via a Facebook ad. My initial impulse was to think that there had to be some sort of gimmick there. Boy, was I dead wrong. The workouts, combined with the nutrition plan made up for a fantastic combination. I really enjoyed the diversity in the workouts and meal plan. The consistency of doing both amped up my conditioning, made me shed a few pounds, and lowered my body fat by 7%. Progressive Athletics and their instructors are the real deal. I joined the 6 week challenge offered by this gym on a whim (I saw it on Facebook and though “why not?”). I’m so glad I decided to do this. Throughout the 6 weeks..I’ve lost 13lbs and about 7% body fat. Thanks to all the coaches for being super kind and supportive. The entire staff was always patient and encouraging; always tweaking workouts so that anyone can participate. The support I received from not only the staff but my fellow peers as well was amazing. The workouts are intense but fun!! The hour flew by. The hardest part was definitely the meal plan. I’ve never been on any type of diet before. And I’m the type of person that LOVES snacking. So to quit all my favorite snacks..was definitely challenging but entirely do able!!! The main reason was that the meal plan does keep you full!! It’s not like you are hungry. What an amazing experience it was to be with The Progressive Athletics Team! With confidence I can say this facility and the team changed my life completely. I was able to get a personalized diet plan, personal trainer and an accountability coach all in one. I signed up for the 6 week challenge and not only did I reach my weight loss goal but I have never felt this good in 10 years!! I absolutely loved working out here. The workouts were challenging every single time, but easy enough to keep up from the beginning. I noticed some improvement with every visit, and I was able to enjoy working out again. To the point, I felt incomplete if I ever missed a work out. I just completed the 6 week challenge at progressive athletics and it was everything that I would have expected and more. Through the training, the meal plan and the accountability coaches I was able to meet my goal of 20 pounds easily . I have been up and down with my weight for many years but this was actually the easiest that it has ever been. Giving up a few items from my diet and changing when I ate made the diet easily manageable and three workouts a week for 45 minutes to an hour is not a huge time commitment. I would recommend this program to anyone looking to lose weight especially if you need a little extra motivation, guidance and accountability. More...

What an amazing experience the 6-week challenge was at Progressive Athletics. The biggest benefit in joining this type of program is that you feel accountable when you are working out with a group. It makes you push harder and then before you know it you're 20 lbs lighter. I ended up losing over 22 lbs and most importantly got into a rhythm of eating healthy and working out regularly. This is a small gym but the space is utilized well; the trainers are great and it always results in a solid hour of body transformation. More...

I wanted to wait three weeks before I made a comment. This was one of the best decision I’ve made in life. The trainers have pushed me to my limits and pushed them even further. This is the best hour of my day. I am confident that I will see even more physical results but my mindset towards exercise and endurance have changed for the better. I cannot recommend Mark and Haaris more. I’ve gone through cycles of using the large gyms and home workouts. Both have their place but Progressive Athletics is absolutely the right fit for me. It’s the right balance of fitness, nutrition guidance and accountability. Mark and Haaris are very knowledgeable, love what they do and are very genuine about having everyone succeed. Back in April I started I started my weightloss journey with progressive athletics. I’m the beginning I was a little skeptical because of the meal plan but as time went on it got better and better. The workouts at Progressive Athletics are great for all fitness levels. You have the ability to push yourself hard and get a great workout. The energy levels are high but most importantly VERY positive. If by chance your energy is gone, both Mark and Haaris will motivate you (best coaches)! Before I began the 6 week challenge, I was very sluggish and pretty much ate any and everything I wanted - since joining Progressive Athletics I've become a responsible eater. Not too many carbs or fats and getting my exercise groove. I must be honest, I was in pain at first, however, after the 4th workout I felt my body changing and wanted to do more. Thanks Mark and Harris for the push...I've lost weight and can get into clothes that was just taking up space...Summer is coming and I need to have shirts inside of my pants as opposed to outside! I have made significant improvements since I started working out with Haaris and Mark. forget all of party attempts at using fancy gyms and home workouts - you name it and I probably have it. Within the first week of joining Progressive Athletics, I started seeing weight come off, more energy, and decreased blood sugar levels. It only got better from there. I am a huge fan of Progressive Athletics. I have seen a substantial transformation in my body in just 4 weeks of working with Haaris. In addition to weight loss, I feel stronger and my energy has more than doubled. The Coaches are incredibly knowledgeable in the fitness field and personalize each exercise to yield the best results possible. When I first met with Mark and Harris I asked them to help me get in better shape. They have, and continue to do just that and more! Mark’s workouts are fun, varied, and challenging but not intimidating. Participating in their six week challenge helped me to lose weight but more importantly helped me gain control of my eating habits. During the challenge Mark and Harris held me accountable, provided plenty of positive motivation, and were always available to support me with their nutritional knowledge. I had such a great experience at Progressive Athletics. I joined the six week challenge and lost 18.6 lbs. The meal plan they provide is simple and easy to follow as long as you meal prep and think ahead. The workouts are fantastic. Small groups allow for more individual personalization and attention on correct form. I also enjoyed the sense of community this gyms creates, it’s so encouraging to workout with others going through the same struggles. Haaris and Mark are incredible! I did the 6 week challenge and I lost 14 pounds and 6% body fat. They really get to know your strengths and weaknesses and build you up. They helped me adjust my meals as well so that I was eating healthier and even in tempting moments (weddings, family gatherings, holidays, etc). I learned a lot by working out with them. Each workout is different than the last and it's fun. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone because they truly do motivate you to reach your goal and build the best version of yourself. My 6 week health and fitness challenge has ended. I have lost 18.8 pounds and 2.5% body fat. My journey has just begun moving towards better fitness. Progressive Athletics has been a great motivation to get back to improving my health. It's amazing how it not only helps physically, also mentally. Gone are my excuses for indulging and putting off exercise. I am taking charge of my life instead of life controlling me. Looking forward to the challenges ahead!

My journey with PA began by being encouraged to coming to a class by a close friend that I have worked out with on and off throughout the years. I had not been on a regular fitness schedule in a few years, so I thought I would give it a try. Let's just say that I haven't looked back since!!! The workouts are challenging but FUN, and I really love the small group approach you receive at Progressive Athletics.

Mark and Haaris really take the time to work with YOU as an individual. They meet with you regularly to make and adjust your fitness goals, as well as push you every time you workout to give it your all. They are flexible and easy to work with, and really care about you.

Additionally, the nutritional support they now provide has completely upped my game and changed my eating and fitness habits forever!!! I am almost finished my 6 week challenge, and am down at least 14 total pounds. I feel great and old clothes that were too small and now loose on me.

The two coaches at Progressive Athletics: Mark Covington and Haaris Majid were the best. I came in wanting to lose some weight but I didn't have the motivation nor the will power with eatinv; all types of food and especially bread is my biggest weakness. When joining the 6 week challenge at Progressive Athletic not only did these two coaches motivate me every single day but they also gave me a meal plan to follow so I will be able to reach my goal. The work outs were intense but they encourage you to do your best and to continue because they knew what the end goal was going to be even when you didn't see it. The atmosphere there was great and after you was paired with your group of work out partners you became a family, which everyone encourage each other. I am very happy that I took on the challenge and I encourage anyone especially my friends that are trying to lose weight to go to Progressive Athletics in Columbia and give these two coaches a try; you will not be disappointed. Again, it is worth every sweat and tear and the end results will be better than you thought. Great Job Mark and Haaris...I will be back!!! More...

I took their six week challenge to lose 6% of my body fat and succeeded. If you put in the effort and follow the plan, you will too. The workouts are tailored to your needs, so whether you haven't been to the gym in a while or are already decently fit, you will still get a solid workout. For me, I knew the diet would be the toughest to conquer. I love food. The first week was the toughest because of the sugar withdrawals, figuring out which meals I liked, and getting used to meal prepping. After that it honestly wasn't that hard to keep the momentum going for the last five weeks. At the end I was down 11 pounds and 6.6% body fat and I've picked up some good new habits (and recipes). Mark Covington and Haaris Majid at Progressive Athletics are amazing. I just completed their 6 week challenge and I lost 42 pounds. I have new found energy and they have set me on a path blazing to a great future. They set me up with a nutritional program and I was never hungry. I loved the atmosphere that they provided that made me very comfortable. The exercises that they had me doing in there I would never do that in another gym because of my size. I was so embarrassed but they took that embarrassment and turned it into motivation. What theses guys have at Progressive Athletics is something special and if you haven’t decided to get started I encourage you to talk them and you will see the energy and great vibe these guys give off to get you going. #howbaddoyouwantit was a hashtag i made up about my 2nd week into my 6 week challenge at Progressive Athletics to help motivate myself. I answered a promotional ad they had running on social media and i met with Haaris Majid and we discussed what i was looking for, which mainly consisted of me talking and Haaris listening and by the end of our talk i looked him in the eyes and i said "YES" and i knew at that moment that the desire was born inside my mind. I also knew that if i didn't get into the earliest class i could that my body & mind would talk me out of coming after a long day at my day job, so i signed up for the 7 am class which entailed me waking up at 5:30 AM, because i only knew one 5:30 and it wasn't an A.M. LOL!!
I started seeing results the first week when i lost 12lbs and 1% body fat, and all i did was follow explicit instructions on my food and my liquid intake and taking the classes with Mark Covington.
I started to begin to work extra work outs in between my days with Mark just walking for 30 minutes on my treadmill at home because the desire had been kindled into a motivation to do the best that i could do....#howbaddoyouwantit
The results kept coming and coming and coming and as of this morning I have lost a total of 38lbs and 5% body fat, and i am down from 42 pants to a 36-38 pant size!!!!!!!
My journey so far is not over, it has begun a lifestyle and a foundation for me to continue to grow upon, it is truly (for me) an inside job that started in my head with the desire so i ask you.....

When I began training with Progressive Athletics, I was overweight and out of shape, eating poorly, and experiencing chronic neck and back pain. Mark and Haaris are the most committed and passionate trainers that I have ever worked with. They have never pushed me beyond my limits but they do challenge me more as my fitness improves. I train 3 times per week with 2-4 other people, and I have really enjoyed the variety & challenges presented in each workout.

My fitness has increased noticeably and I’ve seen improvements in my ability to complete more difficult core exercises, lift progressively heavier weights, and push myself harder in each session. Mark and Haaris always ensure that my technique is correct and they have even showed me some stretching exercises that have eliminated my back and neck tension.

Unlike most gyms, Progressive Athletics also provides nutrition support. 6 weeks ago, they started a 6-week health challenge. Participants were given a meal plan that was very easy to follow and were held accountable with a weekly weigh-in. Support was provided as needed. As someone who has tried every diet plan imaginable, (and gained all my weight back) I was thrilled to follow a meal plan that consisted of normal, healthy ingredients such as fresh green vegetables and lean proteins. In only 6 weeks, I lost 17.5 lbs and 6% body fat.

For the first time ever, I actually look forward to my workouts. I feel amazing, have made new friends who are very supportive, and I have so much more energy. Definitely give Progressive Athletics a try – you won’t regret it!

For anyone looking for a new mental and physical challenge, I would highly recommend checking out Progressive Athletics. In 12 weeks I got stronger physically, but it's actually my mind i'm most proud of. I called Progressive Athletics because I wanted a workout program that would challenge me and help me accomplish some non-scale victories: clothes that fit better, improved strength, and better endurance. Haaris helped me achieve those victories and many more. I can now do 30 push-ups, and do pull-ups with confidence. But the most memorable victory to me is my mental progress. Haaris helped me realize that resistance training gives me a different kind of ideal body to aspire to: a body defined not by how it looks, but by what it can do. Haaris programmed workouts that were fun and challenging and I looked forward to learning new movements and routines every other week.

I know the idea of committing your mind and body to a 12 week program can be a little intimidating, but Haaris will tell you that you don't need to be perfect in order to see changes, but to simply start where we are and enjoy the victories along the way. Enjoying the simple accomplishments I've made and appreciating the hard work i've put in helps me forget my 'flaws' and feel stronger and more confident than ever before. I have been working with Progressive Athletics and Mark Covington for the last couple of months and can't recommend them highly enough! Deciding to invest in personal training was a difficult decision for me. Although I was already working out on a regular basis, my whole focus was on cardiovascular training. As a result, my routine and progress had become stagnant. As I approached my mid-40s, and the metabolism that goes along with it, I realized that a daily run was going to do no more than maintain me at my current weight and fitness level. I knew that incorporating strength training and variety into my routine was going to be the key to seeing the results I desired, but I was intimidated by the idea of figuring out a weight and core regimen on my own. With three children and a full-time job, I was also concerned about the financial and time commitments involved with personal training. After just one meeting with Mark and Haaris, during which they took the time to carefully listen to my story and understand my personal goals, my concerns were quickly alleviated. I realized that an investment in my personal health and wellness was an investment in my whole family and our future, not an act of selfish indulgence. Mark's tailored workout routines have been challenging, flexible, rewarding, and "progressively" intense. I'm already seeing and feeling results mid-way through my "Fit at 40" program, and can't wait to see what the future holds. Mark's passion for fitness is contagious and I find myself eagerly looking forward to each of our sessions (it helps that he's a great conversationalist)! I have been training with Mark Covington since February and it has been an amazing journey! My body is transformed and sculpted. I get many compliments on my results so far as people think I have lost weight when in fact I have focused on Core work which has slimmed me down. I look forward to my work outs each week. The beauty of in-home training is Mark shows up with the equipment and work out exercise schedule and I work! It fits perfectly into my busy schedule! I'm in the best shape of my life. Since I started with Progressive I have lost 25+ pounds, increased by fitness level immeasurably and feel great! Mark is concerned about the health of the entire person - fitness, athleticism, nutrition, and other healthy habits (e.g., sleeping and stress). Downside...
