Colorado Grill

Colorado Grill is fast becoming my favored burger joint. It's locally owned and run and they seem to treat their employees well. Always a nice atmosphere.I usually go to the other location at Herndon and Blackstone, but this past weekend I had business on this side of town and wanted to avoid the shopping crowds. It's really cool inside, with lots of car-related and 50s diner memorabilia to go with the red booths. The menu is clearly displayed here, on a TV high up just to the side of the counter so it's easy to look over while you wait in line. The staff were friendly and helpful as always. I like that the soda machine has vanilla coke on its own tap. They have probably 10 soda options. There's a bit of a wait here, because they make everything to order. I got my usual order - a bigburger combo with skinny fries and vanilla coke. The "bigburger" isn't actually that large, but you can double up. If you like a bigger burger, the boulder burger is huge. I prefer a smaller burger, personally, so these suit me. The bun is soft and a little sweet, the patties are always well seasoned, and I've always found the veggies to be fresh. I like that they shred the lettuce and dice the onions. The skinny fries are very good, always hot and crispy with a fluffy inside. They also do either skinny or steak fries and either option as chilli cheese fries.If you're not in the mood for a burger they also do a bunch of sandwiches and salads. BEST BURGER! Better than In-n-Out. There patties are housemade and delicious. The burgers are very reasonably priced. They seem to run a bit expensive, but once you get your order, you'll see why. They have many combinations, and a wide variety of cheeses, including blue. Inside has a vintage vibe to it, like a 50s diner sorta. Would definitely recommend it. I'm always excited to go! More...

First time at this location. This place is smaller than the Herndon and Blackstone location. It's nice and clean. Went on a a friday after noon around 4pm the place was empty, they were playing reggae music it was a very chill and relaxing vibe. The red chairs are so comfortable too. They have limited outside seating. The customer service here is excellent,  the workers were very nice we got greeted as we entered and our food was brought out to us as well as condiments.What I like about this place is you can customize your burger the way you like. We ordered the Turkey burger and the 1/3 burger and added cheese as well eggs. We came here on a whim, because it was close to our house and O.M.G how have we been missing out for all this time?! You have to try the buffalo crispy chicken sandwich! ! It's not on the menu, and it was kind of an accident the way I ended up getting it, but I'm SO glad. It has actual buffalo sauce on it, along with mayo, tomato, and lettuce. The staff is always so welcoming, it's like we are family! From the register back to the cooks in the kitchen are always willing to go the extra mile. This location is the best in town! They have the Beyond Beef burger!!! And it was cooked so well! Had a great dinner visit a few Sundays ago, very friendly service. They have a huge menu board on the wall at eye level, near the entrance , instead of way up near the ceiling where I sometimes can't read it while waiting in line  they also have a veggie burger option , chicken strips , and all the other old school fast food options like Fosters Freeze. Colorado Grill is a decent place to get a burger and some chili fries.  I have also had their chili dogs, and they are not bad either.  My biggest thing about these places is folks should understand you are coming to a restaurant, that allows you to order, then sit.  You are not going to a fast food place.  There is a reason for this though!  They take their time to make sure each item is prepared as it is ordered.  This is special in my opinion, and I appreciate it! So be prepared to wait for your order, and you will be amazed! I've been here a few times recently, so I can't say I remember details about the food, but I encourage you to try something out here.  They do the huge steak fries, so of course those with or without chili are very yummy. Colorado Burger is one of my favorite burger places in town. They have very juicy & tasty burgers with excellent quality meat. You can get bacon & grilled onions which complete my burger with extra flavor. I always get a great burger here. I love the steak fries too. Not the cheapest but in the best tasting burgers in Clovis-Fresno area.Update: 28-Aug-19I have never tried their chili in all the years that I have been coming here. I was recommended to try this as a coworker said the hamburger was better than in n out. That's a big compliment! Told him I'll try it but hate it when people make things in a comparison as now I'll hold them to that standard. I ended up going to the wrong one as there's one a block away from the office I'm visiting but clicked on the one further away which I'm reviewing. Arrival I saw it was small with no drive through. The menu is on the side of the wall and a LOT to choose from but all I know is there hamburgers are great per coworker. So I ordered the hamburger with steak fries. It's priced on the high side as total was over $9.00 for combo. However, it does include a drink. The ambiance here is really fast foodish but the ladies yelled out my name then brought it to me. That was impressive. Food was wrapped in paper like in n out and had a great presentation. I like my burgers with everything on them. The hamburger was good. Wasn't great but good. Steak fries were good as well. I wouldn't say in n out better but overall a good place to eat. I do think their pricing is on the high side especially for Fresno. Just finished eating here with my family and the food was beyond good . I had the Boulder 1/2 pound burger with curly fries. De-E-licious!!! But the best part was the service. It was almost closing time and you would think that these guys would be tired or not at their peak performance.... Nope. These guys were on point! Polite, Helpful and Energetic.  I especially liked hearing them discuss the particulars of our order. Team work and knowledge of the menu couldn't be beat. I know this is a long review but I hope corporate reads this review. They deserve their kudos. I usually don't tip at Burger joints like this, but they left me no choice to open my wallet. Tonight was my first time here during dinner hour, but I wasn't disappointed! The staff was on point with everything from the ordering to the preparation of the food. We had the Big Burger meal, one with steak fries & one with sweet potato fries. The burgers are made to order, and no one rolls their eyes when you request something special! I love that they toast the bun, and they have a variety of cheese if you want to make it a cheeseburger.The fries are outstanding- crisp & hot. Look, this is IMO the best mom n' pop burger joint in my neighborhood. They got great food and service. Yet, they just got better when they started serving Beyond Meat patties as substitute patties for their burgers. I asked them to put two of those patties in their CG Western, and believe me Carl Jr's Double Western Cheeseburger with Beyond Meat patties can't even touch CG's very delicious burger with a 10 foot pole! Customer service was 100%!!! I got a chicken sandwich on sourdough. Delicious!! We also got a kids burger which my 2 year old son devoured quickly so it must have been tasty too. My husband got a big burger which is like the name big and tasty!!! You can get steak fried French fries or you can get sweet potato fries there's lots of options for staff was extremely friendly and the food was fresh and made to order so plan on waiting these are not fast food burgers we've only been to this location but I'm sure across-the-board all locations provide the same service and quality of food More...

First timer here, decided to try it out because of the great reviews! I can say it's by far my favorite burger joint! We decided to dine in and food was made fairly quickly. The burger was great and fries are made fresh! We were always checked up on to see if we needed anything which I appreciated. Although the one thing that blew our minds was that the cook himself had the time to come out to check on us, asked if everything was good and to also refill our drinks! I don't know if I love the food or the employees more at this diner style joint! I've been coming here for years and absolutely love it. This particular location is my favorite. The employees are always so welcoming and friendly. Over the years their customer service has always been exceptional and so has their food. I've been to all of the Colorado grills in Fresno and I would say that this location is my favorite ! The food is great, the cook Marselo is very respectful and funny at times. There's not one time out of my 20+ visits that he's had a bad attitude, or not smiling. The cashiers( Sarah, Amy ) check on me frequently to see if there's anything I need. The service is always great. Small town warm welcoming feel. The burgers are great! So many options for toppings, patties, sides, drinks. You can choose from an array of cheeses; american, cheddar, swiss, provolone, pepper jack, blue, I could be missing some! Colorado Grill is a great option when wanting a quality burger for a reasonable price. I love to get the Bacon Avocado Burger with Steak fries. They have Vanilla Coke, which is a fun option to have if you're feeling like a cold soda. Their service is top notch and they always make sure to take care of you. So we stop by this place on our way home from Yosemite to Orange Country. I was impressed with the service from the cashier to the people who work here. Very friendly. I kind of hate myself a little because this was my first time eating here. I've definitely been missing out!! The service is superb they check up on you and bring out your food! The food was fresh and hot when they brought it out.There was a lot of people probably considering it was lunch time, but you can call ahead if you're in a hurry.I had the chicken grilled hamburger, and my boyfriend had the crispy. This was a really good burger place my sister told me about. We waited about 10 minutes for our order yo come up but it was well worth the wait. We all had the big burger except for my youngest who had rhe child's chicken strips. The strips were moist and not dried out. They were a good size too. There was a small error on my  burger (with mayo added which i requested to not be on the burger), but the cook fixed me a new one and it was great.
