Colony's always do a great job. I never got compliments on the flowers I sent until I started using these guys. Much better quality than the big chain florists online, and Colony can do an impressively quick turnaround & delivery instead of the several days' notice usually required by the chains.

Words cannot express what an absolutely beautiful job Colony Florist & Gifts did on an arrangement for my aunt's funeral. I had a couple of strange requests, and we finally agreed on one that had the most vibrant color flowers with a touch of sparkle and "bling" added to the arrangement, exactly what my aunt would of loved . The woman I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and understanding and didn't think my requests where strange. I grew up in Oakland and this florist has been here since I was a little girl (many years ago). If you ever need an arrangement I highly recommend Colony Florist & Gifts. Working with Alan and Grace at Colony Florist was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. They are so knowledgeable, professional and easygoing – plus I learned a lot about flowers that I never even knew before! I am still getting compliments on my bouquet and can’t stop looking at photos of it any chance I get. From the centerpieces, to the boutonnieres, to the bridesmaids’ bouquets, to the amazing floral arch, everything was perfect and exactly how I envisioned (without even knowing myself exactly how I wanted everything to look!). I went to Colony today for the first time to order an arrangement that I could walk out with. As soon as I opened the door, the awesome smell of the fresh flowers hit me and the very sweet girl behind the counter greeted us. I told her what I was looking for and she put together a very beautiful, very appropriate arrangement, very quickly. We picked out a really fun card while we were waiting (the selection was fab and so were the gift options throughout the store!) My son- who fought me about going in- fully enjoyed watching her put our vase together. When we left, she handed him a long stem orange flower (she must have heard him say that was the color he liked best). It absolutely made his day- and mine. After calling a few florists near me, I was able to find this florist that was able to get White Calla Lilly's the same day I called. All the other florists I reached out to needed more time ahead to prepare for my order. Friendly service and beautifully decorated. I would recommend Colony Florist to everyone! We just them for our wedding just a couple of weeks ago and I was so happy with our arrangements on the tables at the reception, our ceremony arch, and our arrangements during cocktail hour. Alan understood my vision even better than I did and he exceeded my expectations. I gave him a budget and he worked within it, still delivering amazing flowers. My parents live in Franklin Lakes. This is the only florist my dad uses and the only one I call when I want to send my mom flowers for Mother's Day or her birthday. The people I talk to on the phone are always so friendly and helpful. All I tell them is how much I want to spend and what occasion they're for, then let them do their thing. The end result is always a beautiful arrangement that my mom loves. I don't know anything about their delivery service as my dad always takes care of picking them up, but I'm sure it's the same top notch service. More...

We met with Alan, over a year before our wedding. He was so nice and friendly. We sat with him for an hour just talking about what we liked and how we envisioned our wedding. I told him that me and my mother are allergic to flowers and he made a note of it. We got our contract right away and when I needed to make a few changes he was always available to us and made the changes we needed. The day before the wedding, I called him to change the time to deliver our flowers and he did it! I left the flowers up to him and let him do what he wanted. We just told him what kind of flowers we wanted, the colors of the dresses and the rest was up to him. When I walked into the bridal suite and saw my flowers I was floored with how beautiful they were. They were better than anything I could've imagined. Alan is amazing to work with. No event is too small.  I stopped by to pick up a nice bouquet for my nephew's graduation after looking at the selection at the nearby market.  Thank goodness I did! Alan did such a wonderful job with the floral arrangements. I just gave him a couple swatches and let him run with it! Since I have used Colony Florist before I knew I would be happy and I was!!

He helped me with savings by repurposing ceremony flowers to use in the reception. Looked great!

Colony is just an overall different florist experience. From the moment they answer the phone, you can tell that you, and your flowers are in very good hands. I always feel as though their creativity is never lacking, color combos are always fantastic, and the flowers are always so fresh that they last as long as "flowerly possible!" They also know the BEST florists all around the country, so even if you need to wire flowers somewhere, put your trust in colony.Yesterday I sent flowers to my goddaughter for her first birthday and they suggested adding glitter! I couldn't have been happier with Kenny's floral arrangements from Colony Florists in Franklin Lakes. He came highly recommended, and worked with us to create beautiful arrangements that fit our budget. Kenny was always easy to get in touch with prior to the event, and was on time for everything he said he'd do the day of (i.e. drop off boquets, decorate church, decorate venue). We also had Kenny decorate our cake with fresh flowers and it was far more beautiful than any fancy fondant cake I'd seen in magazines or other wedding websites during my planning.
