Due to unforeseen health issues, we found we could no longer give our 9 month old Sheltie the attention an active puppy needs or desires. I contacted Karen Roos, and she came to our home, was with us for hours and we made decision to let Karen and her organization find a new permanent home for our precious Sheltie. This was a very difficult decision to make, but I now know it was by far the best thing for Abby, and therefore, us as well. She handled all so lovingly and professionally. My husband, a retired veterinarian, was most impressed, and was fully assured these folks will do the best for our little Abby going forward. Over the years I have adopted six Shelties from the rescue. They have all been wonderful dogs. With Loki's death we are down to just Angus (Rusty) and we will let him be an only dog for a while.
