As the Coronavirus pandemic isolated so many of us, we turned to our canine companions for the love and connection we lost from our human world. Now that dog ownership is at the highest level in US history, it is becoming time for many of us to return to travel and the office.

As we step out of our homes, our dogs are left alone – often for the first time in their lives. I located Colby’s Dogcare & Spa in the heart of DC, near the intersection of the NoMA & Near Northeast districts and the H Street Corridor because the combination of the plethora of dogs that came of age during the coronavirus and the dearth of dogcare options in the neighborhood cried out for a safe and loving dogcare opportunity.

We think canine children are pretty amazing. They are incredibly loyal, an endless source of comic relief, and a generous giver of nuzzles and cuddles when you need them most. They even helped a lot of us stay sane through endless months of quarantining. Our pups are always there for us, and I built a business around being there for them.

Colby’s Dogcare & Spa is a safe, loving provider of high-quality canine care, delivered by the world’s biggest dog lovers. Our staff is focused on promoting healthy and happy pups, while delivering convenience and peace of mind to the humans who love them. We fit our harnesses with GPS trackers, wear body cameras, are fully vaccinated, and only walk pups from a single family at a time.

As the world opens back up and humans return to their normal work and travel routines, our little ones suddenly face the prospect of spending long stretches of time alone. For dogs who were adopted during the pandemic, it might even be the first time in their lives they have to face the day without a human by their side.
