I would give COADB 10 stars if I could. On my initial call with Tammy (owner) she couldn't have been more patient with me and answered all of my questions. I had never traced my heritage before and had no idea the detail that goes into this type of research. She stayed in touch with me and assured me she was collecting data that I would very happy with. What do you love most about your job?
I absolutely love assisting others with their genealogy journey. Whether it be looking for one relative to an entire family tree there is always the chance of putting sunshine into a person's day.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have conducted genealogy research for over 35 years. Over the years, I have worked with a broad range of customers, from genealogy to heraldry to DNA analysis and identifying coats of arms. Every customer presents a different challenge to research. The inspiration to start my own business came from the joy I had when I worked on genealogy and the dissatisfaction in my past areas of employment.
Why should our clients choose you?
My interest in genealogy research began at an early age. The library and its antique newspaper and book sections have always intrigued me, and then as a teenager, I would go to courthouses and genealogical societies to do my research. Since then, the internet has brought us a lot of changes, but the concept remains the same. It is still necessary to view the records and locate the correct ones. My job as a genealogy or Ancestry DNA project consultant is to gather all of the information needed from new customers and expand upon that information. The majority of the work is done over the phone or via email.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Since the majority of my work is conducted online, by email, or by phone the risk of COVID is minimal. Although if an in-person meeting should happen a mask would be worn if the client requested it. In-person meetings are conducted only within a 50-mile radius of 67673.
Genealogy Research
1) $25 per hour with a minimum of 10 hours
2) Tracing one surname (direct lineage only) as far back as documents will allow $369
What you receive is the lineage for ONE surname in your tree; all documents, records, manuscript pages, and photos if found, and a coat of arms search for the ONE surname being researched and a direct lineage report. Lead Time is 30 to 45 days after the information is received from you.
3) Tracing two surnames (direct lineage only) as far back as documents will allow $569
What you receive is the lineage for TWO surnames in your tree; all documents, records, manuscript pages, and photos if found, and a coat of arms search for both surnames being researched and a direct lineage report. Lead Time is 45 to 60 days after the information is received from you.
4) Tracing all 4 grandparents' direct lines as far back as documents will allow $1299.
What you receive is the lineage for FOUR surnames in your tree; all documents, records, manuscript pages, and photos if found, and a coat of arms search for the FOUR surnames being researched and a direct lineage report. Lead Time is 60 to 90 days after the information is received from you.
5) Single Ancestor Search $199 includes anything and everything we can find on a single individual in your family tree. Includes books, newspapers, military, census, public records, etc. Lead Time is 30 to 45 days after the information is received from you.
DNA Research / Genealogy Research
DNA match evaluation to answer a specific DNA question is either $25 per hour with a minimum of 10 hours or I do have a package price that includes 100 evaluation hours and a proposed family tree from the results for $1700. If the package is purchased half of the price is expected to begin and the second half at the end of the 100 hours. Lead time is 30 to 120 days.
Heir Research
The tracing of an individual's ancestral history using historical records, both official and unofficial, such as Census Records. Vital Records (birth certificates, adoption records, death certificates, marriage and divorce records, etc.). Lead time is approx. 30 to 45 days. Heir research packages are $369
