Phenomenal gym with top rouge equipment. Love the new space they added plenty of racks to use now. Harry was a phenomenal worker and was always happy to teach how to use a particular equipment/machine I was not familiar with. Best gym in OC!

Jon is the best personal trainer I've ever had! I've trained with him for almost two years, and he has taken my workout to the next level. Jon considers both the goal of the client (bodybuilding, power/strength building, weight loss, athletic performance) and the personal characteristics of the client's anatomy to devise the perfect program for each individual. He's energetic, funny, and truly loves his job and is passionate about his clients' progress. Thanks to Jon, I grew to actually enjoy working out, and I looked forward to every session. Josh is a very charismatic and knowledgeable trainer! I think it’s important for trainers to be personable during the training sessions, as it makes clients more likely to stay motivated during their fitness journey.
Josh not only creates effective and challenging exercises, but each of his workouts is part of a long term plan to help you reach your goals.

He assisted me with various push-up progressions until I was finally able to do 5 of them with proper form. Mind you, I could not even do one on my knees when I started.

I highly recommend training with Josh. You’d be hard pressed to find higher quality.

I started training with Josh last month, and I've had an exceptional experience so far. After spending a majority of this past year on endurance training, I wanted to reintroduce strength training to my weekly programming in a way that wouldn't detract from my other training. Josh put together a plan to accommodate my specific goals and also ensured I was adding in strength training in a progressive and sustainable way. Josh is an amazing trainer to work with. What I really appreciate is that he customizes the exercise to my body type and he appropriately progresses you to the next level for Injury prevention. Started personal training with Josh over a year ago and can easily say it was the best decision I’ve made for my fitness journey. After becoming familiar with all the health benefits of strength training, I realized this was a key piece missing from my more cardio focused routine. Not being familiar with strength training, or where to begin, I found my way over to Josh. This proved to be an awesome decision as from the first day I knew I was in good hands. Rather than taking a cookie cutter one size fits all approach we discussed what my goals were, my training background, and completed an initial assessment. Following this Josh was able to create a plan that best took all of this into consideration. It has now been 4 plus months of working with Josh and am already experiencing noticeable improvements in my daily life. Josh is able to explain/demonstrate specific movements, which as a new lifter is very much appreciated. I’ve worked out at GOAT for about 2 years. I first came in as a student athlete of age 13 (fencer) barely able to do a trap bar lift with just the bar. Since then, my athleticism tripled, and I can squat 165 lb for 4 reps, and bench 135 lb. GOAT was also a significant contributor to my national fencing medal last year. Josh is incredibly amazing. He is the best persinal trainer who has been helping me to achieve my fitness and cycling goals. His theoritical and practical knowledge of gym activities and equipment, his mannerism, his kindness, and his smile make me to enjoy being trained by him.
He has made excersice plans for me in regard to my goals and I am seeing the results and am so happy to be trained by him. He always explains how the the excersice should be done, which muscles are involved, and he watches me to make sure I'm doing it correctly.
In addition, he gives me consultations about my nutrition align with my goals. To be honest, he works beyond a personal trainer!!

Josh is incredible! 1 1/2 years ago is when I first reached out to Josh. Dealing with social anxiety I got the courage to reach out and I don’t regret it. I was dealing with some health issues at the time and I needed someone to hold me accountable. Josh was one of the reasons why I got back into the gym. Most people have cookie cutter programs, Josh does everything based on the individual. Driving by goat you would never expect the amount of personality that is packed into this place. The gym is full of equipment for all styles of exercise and goals you have currently or set for yourself in the future. Not only that but the community at Goat is by far the best I have ever seen. The owner, John, not only is he welcoming and supportive of all gym members, those with coaches and those just simply there for an open gym, but he lives his mantra, Passion Breeds Success, its hard to not get motivated when in his presence and his hand selected coaches. I have had the pleasure of learning from and witnessing 3 coaches at Goat, Keith a bodybuilder with evolved knowledge from years of practice, Ciara a coach that has excellent communication with her clients to educate and adapt training to best suit them, and lastly Joshua, a multifaceted individual who brings all he knows to the table, wrapped in a package of humor. John himself has also educated me on ways to further better myself, overall in the gym and towards hyper specific goals that I had. Came across Goat Fitness towards the end of last year after searching for a private gym for a few months. I had a consultation with Josh and at the end couldn't wait to get started. After doing Pilates for a few years I wasn't seeing the results I wanted to but now working with Josh for about half a year - I am!  The environment is extremely welcoming and all the trainers are very knowledgeable/willing to help at anytime. I love the fact it's never super crowded and don't have to wait for equipment to free up. I've never really worked out before and was very nervous to start working out. When I think about the gym and personal trainers- I just automatically envision someone yelling at me. So, finding a friendly, non-intimidating gym was important to me. I've contacted several other gyms and their personal trainers and Goat Fitness was the only place that made me feel comfortable enough to commit. When I decided to pursue a career in law enforcement, I was short on time and woefully out of shape. I had mere months to transform into someone capable of surviving the physical and disciplinary requirements necessary for the police academy. The trainers at GOAT fitness were super friendly and made me feel comfortable in the gym for the first time. Coach Jon and the other trainers were incredibly knowledgeable, resourceful, flexible and supportive. They provided a level of pressure and positive motivation so that we were always making progress and never just going through the motions. Never once did I feel bullied or spoken down to, which was important because I don't really respond to negative reinforcement. They understood my motivation was internal and they fed into that to help me push myself harder. For the first time in my life, working out became a fun and enjoyable activity that I would actually look forward to each day!I can't recommend this place enough. Coming to this gym was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I began with getting personal training sessions. Kevin and Ciara were very personable and did a great job challenging me with my workout. Currently, I pay for an open gym membership. This place has a plethora of high quality equipment, so it's very easy to integrate a wide range of exercises. All of the trainers are very knowledgeable. Jon, Keith, and Josh frequently help me and give me tips on not only my form and technique, but also ways I can tweak my diet and monitor my progress outside the gym.I showed up as a newbie about 8 months ago. Already I've noticed so much improvement in my confidence, posture, appearance, and overall energy. Just moved here a few weeks ago and have been looking for a gym. I stumbled upon GOAT fitness via groupon and was lucky enough to try out my sessions with several trainers- Jon, Josh, and Keith. I previously have worked with both physiotherapists and personal trainers on specific recovery and training goals and the GOAT trainers were excellent in helping me to continue on working on these goals. It's clear that they are all there because they truly love fitness! In addition to the trainers, I also really enjoy the gym itself. It's well equipped and feels like the home-gym-i-wish-i-could-afford-to-buy. It's definitely for those who prefer the more private boutique-style gyms than the large gym chains. In terms of membership options, I love the flexibility and no-contract options as it allows me to add on GOAT training in addition to my other fitness class workouts.
