Clarkaraoke had an excellent fast response and could meet our budget. The party will be on October 29th and I hope we can have the greatest experience.

Pat Clark is a karaoke god. My life wouldn't be complete without him and Karaoke!

If there were more stars, I would tack them on. I do an unreasonable amount of karaoke, and I've kind of landed here as my home spot.  Wednesday nights at Columbia City theater are my all time favorite.  Even my friends who claim to get hives when they leave Capitol Hill will make the trip to join me here.  You should too!!! I do more karaoke than anyone rationally should, so I've seen a giant cross section/spectrum of karaoke host/methods of hosting. AND I can't imagine a better operation than Absolute Karaoke. I don't know most of the hosts that well, but they're all cool and Pat Clark is MF'n G! The quality of that dude's vocal cords literally makes me angry! Also, speaking to the unique (and quality) methods of this operation: Goddamn they have a lot of songs, and they add more seemingly on a daily basis. Also the thing where you can see which singers are upcoming is frickin great. You know when you're singing like 20 minutes before you have to sing, as opposed to 20 seconds. You can step out and have a smoke with confidence, knowing that you're not going to miss you opportunity to butcher "Love Shack."Naw, but clearly I'm a fan. If you're looking for someplace to karaoke, you would be wise to find out where Pat Clark and the Absolute Karaoke folks are at and then go there! PS Monday night at  The Atlantic Crossing is a hidden gem, check it out! More...

None better than Absolute Karaoke hosts.  They all make the evening FUN and they are super "professional" at their jobs.  I love that they keep things MOVING.  Pat Clark is god!Seriously, you will have a great time if you seek out an AK venue.  You absolutely look forward to the "top of the rotation" where Pat, Johny, Chase, Bombschelle sing and you are so blown away!.  (God I miss Orcas Landing!),And who mentioned "Love Shack"  uh.. that's ours!  Though we have replaced it lately with "See YOu Later, Alligator!" Ignition (Remix) was in their karaoke song book. I rocked the shit out of it. 'Nuff said.

I sang...but never got my schmancy  participation condom. Oh well, next time I guess. And you bet your pants, there ~will~ be a next time! !!The book is large, in charge, intimidating, and bound to have something you can belt out to your hearts content. KJ was incredible and really knew how to run the show. And considering its for free? Well, can't do much better now then can you? More...

How'd I miss out on the condoms!?  OK, so that's not relevant at all.  Absolute Karaoke is not a location.  Rather, it is a group of talented hosts with a karaoke book that could flatten a small dog that travels from place to place and puts on what is probably the best night of karaoke one can have with random strangers.  Note, this means you are not ensconced in a private room with just your friends to witness your humiliation and thus, I recommend the shy amongst us lose their karaoke virginity elsewhere (like Rock Box) and then check Absolute Karaoke's calendar to find out where to get one of those condoms!  Guess they are relevant after all.The hosts manage the line-up and do a great job making sure everyone who wants to sing gets a chance.  They also get up from time to time to wow the crowd with their own considerable talent.  The particular venue can have some bearing on how enjoyable the evening is--things like the quality, pricing, and availability of drinks and the make-up of the non-karaoking customers--but the karaoke is so fun that these peripheral factors almost don't matter. Ridonkulously awesome KJ and song book. Um, 'nuff said. I sent in a request for them to add Stone Roses' - She Bangs The Drums.

The book? Massive and intimidating, it's like the Karaoke Bible. I mean, they even had Ignition (Remix) instead of just Ignition (and the remix is so so so so so so sososo much better). La-la-la-love the host (Josh), who is super charming and talented. The best part? Every singer gets an Absolute Karaoke condom, which is good because we all know that nothing gets you all het up like hollerin' on a mic. Absolute Karaoke: preventing karaoke babies since . More...

I love me some karoke.  This is true.I love a good book, a gracious and talented KJ, an ability get the crowd involved and a certian 'je ne sais quoi' that always rockets you from a fun time to an EPIC night. Absolute Karaoke has all of these things and more!I highly recommend checking their calendar and following them wherever they may be and I guarantee you'll have more fun than you've ever had at karaoke.  Or your money back. That is, if it was free. More...

Q&As

You have to feel the crowd and know your crowd. Usually asking what kind of music the crowd wants before you play can help emencely. Simply by giving some paperwork for suggestions can make a nightbthat more enjoyable. Also you have to play some slow songs in between sets so that couples can dance and give a breather to the crowd. You can take requests just be mindful if it’s appropriate or a dance killer or even on the no play list of the bride and groom.

I’ll say I’m old school I’ll play Motown and Eighties but I’ll sprinkle some new top 40 in there to keep the music fresh. Also old school hip hop from the 2000’s can keep them dancing.i

I love making people happy. When asked by friends if I rather be a guest or dj there wedding, I rather dj to make sure they are having the best time they can have with no worries. Also when djing kids parties it is a joy seeing those kids sing for the first time ever.

I was asked to be a Kj at the old bar Dante’s in 2004 since I was a patron there almost every a Monday. I later Worked for Cloud 9 Productions for a couple years and when they went out of business I took over their existing contracts. I figured out that if I’m going out almost every night out to sing I might as well get paid to do it. I also was trained by Joe Olson of Livid Liquid for some years at Finn McCools. I later met up with Josh Baron and we formed Absolute Karaoke that blossomed from 6gigs a week to 35 gigs with 15 Employees. We disbanded the company to make it more profitable and hence you have Clarkaraoke.

I love what I do for a living so it is never work to me. But don’t get me wrong I’m very serious of my work and take it very to heart to make sure that I’m putting the best show out there I can.
