I live in Virginia and ordered flowers for my father's memorial service in New Jersey. I didn't see what I liked on the website, so I had arrangements made based on pictures that I sent to C J Sanderson & Son Florists. I also asked for some special additions to customize them. The lady to whom I spoke was Joanne. She was very kind, offering her condolences, and giving me suggestions regarding my floral choices.I was not particularly confident ordering flowers by phone, but I would have to, since I would not be in New Jersey until late the night before the service.My sisters and I were not disappointed. The arrangements were beautiful. They were just as I had requested. Seeing such lovely flowers gave us some comfort during an awful time.And I was very surprised by the cost. I can not thank them enough. They where a dream to work with. The went below our budget and made the most amazing arrangment I have seen for a wedding. They even where able to accomidate loose flowers for my center pieces and I went a day early to pick them up. I was able to see my flowers. They where gorgeous and brought tears to my eyes. They delivered them without issue and had them all labeled so I knew who got what. It made it super easy and less stressful. Do not let the outside of the building stear you away. Sanderson's is an amazingly affordable and accommodating florist has been around forever! There is only one reason why a florist stays around as long as they have and that's because they do great work and have loyal returning customers! I have to sincerely apologize for my previous review. My sister didn't know the flowers were coming and stayed out longer than she had told me. Consequently missing the delivery. We've gone to Sanderson's my entire life for flowers. Both my mom and dad grew up right down the street. We knew they'd create beautiful arrangements for my wedding and they definitely did- gorgeous green hydrangea, mango and deep purple calla lilies, sterling roses. It was perfect. Don had a lot of suggestions to help us out and wasn't phased at all with our lack of boutonnieres or the 300 corks I dropped off to fill the vases for the centerpieces. I was very happy with many of the vendors (venue, dj, invitations, dress, tuexes, limo) for my wedding, but Sandersons stood out above the rest. Sandersons and the flowers for my wedding were better than I had imagined or hoped for. My bridesmaids boquets were perfect. I had a sangria color theme, but I had a summer wedding. Sandersons was able to incorporate my color scheme and summer wedding beautifully. Every year my husband sends me the most beautiful roses for our anniversary and mothers day. I've never been disappointed. The floral designers out due themselves all the time. Some how they seem to put a creative edge on every arrangement they design. You can count on getting your monies worth, because they never "skimp" on their floral arrangements, even on holidays.
