After asking around and striking out with a few recommendations from friends, Mike from Pupfish Photography reached out and stated he would love to do a shoot with my family.
He was timely, professional, and personal throughout the whole shoot - which is sadly not as common as you'd expect.
The experience was great, he was able to capture my family is a natural setting, and the editing of the photos was top notch!
I plan to use him for all my future needs and love supporting local artists - I hope you will too!

My boyfriend and I had a couples shoot with Michael this past Wednesday and we were both very impressed with our experience. Michael was professional yet very personable. He showed up to the location we chose to take pictures at early and mapped out all of the spots he thought would be best for photos. My boyfriend and I had taken professional pictures separately before but this was our first time as a couple. Mike walked us through the process and explained the reasoning behind every photo. We received photos from the shoot faster than we have from any other photographer before and we’re pleased with every photo. We had a photo shoot for our 14 year old daughter & Pupfish Photography is the best! Mike was amazing at capturing her natural beauty! The lighting was amazing, he brought along a few props & had a lot of suggestions on what we should bring to get the most out of her shoot! He picked a great location & at the perfect time of day for the lighting. He has such an eye for what he does & is a true artist with the camera! He gets back to you very quickly with any questions you may have & is on time, very professional but down to earth & fun! We will be back for our other two daughters & a family shoot! My fiancé and I had an amazing experience with Pupfish photography. We had them shoot our engagement photos and we are so in love with them. We are not experienced In getting our photos taken at all, but the pictures that they captured tell a different story! They made us feel so comfortable, made us laugh, and we had a lot of fun. Mike Burton is a DREAM to work with. He came all the way to Joshua Tree National Park to take our engagement photos. He has the kind of personality that makes it seem like he’s your best friend and that you’ve known each other for ages. He is very hands on in showing you how he wants you posed. He demonstrates with the male out of respect for the female. He carried our extra shoes, offered us his extra water bottle, helped me up and down rocks and hills and even sang to us to set the mood for the photos.
