Chulos moved to a new, larger location on Waverly Avenue near the corner of Main Street in Watertown. Everything is still awesome. There is a new lunch menu that is a killer deal. There are incredible spicy choices like Aloo Bodi Tama Soup, Chicken Chili Momo (great dumplings), Vindaloos, and Chicken Chili. In addition, all curries can be made spicy. For those that prefer milder offerings, try the regular Momos, the daal or tomato soup, the tandoori items, the great tikka masala, and the butter chicken. All curries can be made mild. The breads and the vegetarian offerings are top notch. The "chow mein" is actually like a superb lo mein. It is bursting with flavor. The Dinner Sets are somewhat similar to an Indian Thali. You are served a tray with a variety of hot and cold dishes. Some of the foods will be new for Americans, but they are very tasty. Nepalese music is played by a live band on Friday and Sunday evenings. There is a full bar. The owner and staff are extremely friendly. I cannot recommend Chulo highly enough! My boyfriend and I came, figuring we would try something new... we had no idea we would fall in love with the restaurant! The live music, staff/service and food were all amazing . Shyam, Proven and all others really went above and beyond to make sure the experience was much more than just a meal. It is obvious everyone is so proud of this amazing restaurant they have created. Everyone truly makes you feel part of the family. The Chicken Chili was AMAZING! We arrived at 6:30 pm and didn't leave until 11:30 pm, even though we entered sleepy and just looking for a meal.
