I've always said that I would visit the Drama Group but finally went when A Raisin in the Sun was playing. The theater is in a hide away location with plenty parking, the seating was intimate with every seat being a good seat and the play was phenomenal! Once warmed up all the actors were at the top of their game! Loved it! I can't wait to go back! More...

It's great space - a nice stage and good seats. The talent is on par with most any other community theater, but the price of admission is high, averaging $23 per seat. But it's local, supports the community and saves a drive downtown. More...

I suddenly got it into my head that I really wanted to see a production of Heathers, and it just so happened that the Drama Group was the next theater doing it within driving distance.
In this case driving distance meant 3 hours away, and I was a little hesitant about travelling that far for a community theater show, but damn, I'm glad I did. Whatever expectations I had were blown away within the first 5 minutes of the show, and I was just left dumbstruck and grinning like an idiot for the remainder. This productions was incredible, rivaling and even exceeding most pro-level productions I'd seen clips of. The casting was perfect and the acting/vocal performances were absurdly good. A young cast, age-appropriate for the roles, and just outstandingly talented and natural.
The venue is relatively small and intimate, but they made great use of the space. It's like having a broadway show taking place just feet away from you, and all the more immersive and visceral for it.
I can only speak to this one production, but if it's any indication of how this theater operates, it's a top-tier treasure. I'd gladly make the trip again for another show. I'm happy I got to see Heathers, but I'm thrilled I got to see this production in particular.

This a great community theater organization. The cast and crew are dedicated individuals that put on a professional show several times a year. I've been a season subscription holder for a couple years and I'm not disappointed. They put on dramas like Whiskey Neat and musical numbers like Little Shop of Horrors. I can't wait to see what they'll put on next. More...
