Full disclosure, i have not actually done any business with Chicago Fabrications to date. I approached them about a project a while back, and while we didn't end up proceeding, it was nothing to do with Tyler or his team, they were extremely helpful. When shopping around it would appear that Chicago Fabrications prices are pretty comparable to their competitors, but what Tyler and his crew are giving you actual beats them all hands down. Plenty of places will sell you a pile of dirty old barn wood full of screw and nails, but Chicago Fabricators are really preparing the wood to be readily usable. Anyone else i found that could truly offer a comparable product would have done so at a much higher cost, and a much longer turn around time. I look forward to a possible project in the future. Very pleased with the walnut wood pieces I bought from Chicago Fabrications. Tyler was very helpful in giving me advise on my first River Edge Table. He is very knowledgeable and went over and beyond to help me out. Even sanded, trimmed and finished the wood pieces for me!! The walnut pieces are beautiful and great quality wood. Tyler is awesome and was super helpful when I showed up looking for wood to make floating kitchen shelves. Ended up having to take a new pallet of wood down and pull a board out from beneath many others. Tyler did it happily and without complaint. I can't say enough awesome things about Tyler, the owner, and his team. They were so easy to work with, and extremely helpful! We used him to help complete a bar in our home, he created two bar tops for us and shelves, and brackets. He answered all of our questions and made last minute changes for us as well.
