We have brought all our animals here for many years. They have taken care of us in good times, and recently, in not so good times. They have always shown love and compassion to all our animals in every aspect. Today was a walk ins, we were the last one to be seen, and even though it was late and I know they were VERY tired from a long day, they still smiled and treated us like we were the first patient of the day.With the same enthusiasm, attention to detail and patientce with all that needed to be done. I can not say enough of Dr.Kesting, Kate, Jessica, and DJ.(that was just today, the rest of the staff are rockstars as well!) Our dog Equinox was dying and it was time to choose a place to take him to cross the rainbow bridge. a friend recommended them. I had called and did most of the paperwork with the receptionist on the computer. she was patient with me. we stopped by McDonalds on the way for Equinox's chicken sandwich. when we arrived it was clean the staff was ready for us. everyone treated us so good. took us to a room soon after arriving and brought us a blanket and told us take all the time you want . We spent about an hour and he was getting tired.The vet came in and checked on us and we let her know he was ready because I was never ready. She explained everything . After it was done they let us stay as long as we wanted. They came in and asked us what we wanted and we selected the private cremation and ashes with paw print. they had them by Valentines and my friend picked him up and brought him home to me. Yesterday we finally checked our mail box and there was a card from them with notes with signatures from the whole staff. We take all of our pets (two dogs, cat, and chickens) to Chester Valley. We absolutely love Dr K and Dr H! They are kind and compassionate and genuinely care for our animals. They take the time to answer all of our questions - whether in the office or by phone. Sure, we may have to wait a little while but we are understanding because we know they are very busy giving the best care possible to everyone they see. And they are always good about explaining all of our options to us so we can make the best decisions possible for our animals' health. We previously had taken one of our dogs to another vet in town and ended up switching to Chester Valley. The other vet was like going to a business: they were trying to see as many clients per day and we rarely got to talk to the vet more than a few minutes. We don't feel that way at all at Chester Valley. We feel welcomed and valued every time we visit and never feel rushed out of the office.We appreciate the opportunity to use their walk-in hours for last minute or unexpected issues. It means we don't need to find another vet clinic and can go to our regular beloved vets. But we also know that walk-in hours can get hectic with everyone else also capitalizing on the opportunity, so we know to be patient when using them and plan to give ourselves extra time, just in case. Reading many of the reviews on here, I'm honestly surprised. There are complaints about expense and having been to two other vets in town, we don't find Chester Valley to be any more expensive than the other places we've been. And if Dr K is refusing service to anyone, I suspect it's because they were particularly disrespectful or belligerent and I wouldn't blame her one bit. She's been nothing but professional with us and everyone we've recommended Chester Valley to and we have observed her run her business with the highest integrity. Chester Valley is also a generous community member. They often donate packages to silent auctions for good causes and we've seen them preparing backpacks of donated goods for non-profits serving our list vulnerable populations in town. We can't recommend Chester Valley enough. We feel so fortunate to have vets and staff who care so much for our animals. More...

I was here a few weeks ago and the staff is absolutely amazing. I love that everyone was so nice and helpful. It was my first time coming here. They were able to provide me with options regarding my dog's yeast infections. I loved that the vet went into detail about my options and was happy to answer all my questions. Have taken my two dogs to Chester Valley for last few years. Unfortunately our Siberian Husky had to be put down after a 3rd bout with cancerous growths, but the Staff was great with the process. We had him for 13 years so he was obviously part of the family. Our pug gets the best care here. From health check ups to nail trims and spa days. The staff here are fantastic. Chester Valley was our family's vet when we first arrived in Alaska, however, we bought a house and moved to the Valley. Yes, we had a vet out here but Chester Valley knew our girls and had a solid connection. About a year ago our mama lab (Daisy) got sick we brought her back, unfortunately we had to put her down due to age related issues. A few weeks ago we had to bring the daughter (Lilybug) in and put her down as well, both were seniors gals and we lovingly called them our 'Golden girls'! As a military family our girls had been on so many adventures with us and loved beyond words! Through both of these heartbreaking situations Chester Valley has been kind, compassionate, empathetic, and loved us/our girls through it.
