About

Many of us have gone through experiences in life that can be difficult to make sense of, and can leave us feeling stuck, unmotivated, or without hope for change. The promise of psychotherapy is that it offers a path that illuminates the conscious and unconscious limiting beliefs we have unknowingly come to identify with.

Q&As

What I most love about being a psychologist is working with my patients in a Relational Psychoanalytic framework. It involves incorporating an understanding of how your early attachments and experiences have continued to impact present relationship dynamics, as well as your self concept. This includes how you feel about yourself, and especially, what you believe is possible to achieve in your life.

The emphasis of our work together has several important features: You will likely find that you come to understand yourself more completely, and compassionately. In doing so, new ways to authentically relate to others and create truly satisfying relationships often emerge and grow. Finally, we will work to help you discover lasting ways to engage in the world so that your life comes to reflect what is most meaningful and fulfilling for you.
Our work will involve expanding your awareness so that unconsciously held thoughts, feelings and beliefs can be reevaluated and reworked to align with your most important hopes and life ambitions.

In order to have the freedom to practice psychoanalytically and offer my patients the most help, it became evident that I needed to have my own private practice so that I would not be encumbered by any foreign organization's rules or bureaucracies. Especially given how central the relationship between the therapist and patient is in my work, I believe it is a great advantage to have my own practice where I can decide with my patient how to best help them.

I work collaboratively and relationally – meaning, I actively engage with you, and I believe the quality of our relationship effects what feels safe to talk about and explore.

I am deeply interested in you: your thoughts, your feelings, understanding the way you experience the world, and the meaning you make out of what happens in your life. It is within this emotional environment, where the development of your truest self can become articulated, further expand and finally thrive.
