I hosted a retirement party at my home. Amanda at Chef by Request was extremely helpful with setting the menu and planning the event. We hosted about 45 people. Chef by Request provided the chef, bartender, and two servers. All showed up on time, performed the setup (including a bar), did an incredible job taking care of our guests, and cleaned up afterwards. Food was fabulous. My husband and I got married at Elements on August 17, 2019 and we are still gushing about our experience there. First, the service is impeccable. Not only did the staff display the utmost professionalism, they were also just nice and kind people that really accommodated the guests. Things ran as smoothly as possible. No lines or bars, I noticed all of the tables got food in an exceptionally timely manner, spills (eek!) were cleaned up immediately. Rich really took care of the head tables and our families. and that felt really special. One of the staff members, Gina, let me and my sister peek in the ballroom the morning of the wedding. A lovely server came up to me during the wedding and gave me two pieces of cake because I never left the dance floor and completely missed eating it. Molly was so wonderful at the end of the night making sure I got all of my things. She even packed an extra entree for me when she thought I didn't eat. The personal touch (at every level) for such a big event did not go unnoticed. And then there is Cheryl Cady. Cheryl went above and beyond in every aspect of my wedding planning experience with Elements. I just moved to Naperville, so didn't have any vendor contacts. Cheryl provided so many (amazing) vendor recommendations. She helped with design and aesthetics and just provided guidance and support along the way. She has so much confidence in what she does and her team does, it really made me feel completely comfortable and stress free leading up to the wedding. She is also fabulous and fun and it was a real pleasure working with her. Beyond the staff and service, the location is perfect - most of our out of town guests stayed at Hotel Indigo and got to explore downtown Naperville. The décor is original and stunning. My husband actually found this spot about a year before he proposed to me. I am so glad he did! What a BEAUTIFUL place to celebrate a very special day. Cheryl is wonderful to work with. She is so nice and you can easily see she has a passion for her job. She goes above and beyond to make sure your day (and the days leading up to) is beyond perfect. We could not have chosen a better place to have our wedding reception than Elements. We looked at 5 different venues but nothing compares! Cheryl was absolutely wonderful throughout the entire planning process. She is incredibly responsive and so easy to work with. I’m quite indecisive at times so I would never hesitate to reach out to Cheryl for suggestions or advice. On our wedding day, while our guests were at cocktail hour, my husband and I were able to have a few minutes to ourselves in the ballroom before everyone else came in. It was nice to have a second, just him and I. We were able to grab a drink and have some appetizers. Rich and Jeff were our bartenders that night and they were absolutely wonderful! The servers were friendly and always on top of everything. My husband and I never had an empty drink in our hand. We’re still hearing from our guests how amazing the food was! We cannot say enough about Elements and the staff! You can tell that the entire staff enjoys what they do. They make you feel like family. The entire day felt like a dream. I send a big THANK YOU to Chef by Request, and to Amanda Ingle in particular, for making our wedding reception a huge success! We had a smaller wedding (around 62), and some of the catering companies don't like to work with small groups or even charge extra money if the group is under 100 people. But Chef by Request was happy to cater our wedding reception. From the first phone call, to the tasting, to the planning, and to the actual event, Amanda made everything easy and fun! She was always accessible and promptly returned my phone calls. Amanda is very professional, in a relaxed way. I especially appreciated her expertise and her willingness to make suggestions when we didn't know what to do. She was patient in answering all of our questions and was never pushy. Everything went like clockwork and was PERFECT on the day of the wedding! We especially appreciated how the Chef by Request team was very attentive to me (the bride) and to the groom on the day of our wedding. During the cocktail hour, they made a point to find us when we were having photos taken, and they brought us a plate of appetizers so that we wouldn't miss out on them. They even surprised us with a special plate of desserts on our sweetheart table! The food was OUTSTANDING!!! We got many compliments from our guests, who said that the food tasted like it came from a gourmet restaurant. All of the food was cooked on-site. It wasn't pre-cooked and then just warmed up. So it tasted like it just came out of the oven because it did! When we first started planning our wedding, I checked out quite a number of caterers, and Chef by Request outshined them all in professional, friendly service coupled with delicious food at very reasonable prices. I cannot say enough about the quality and professionalism of Chef by Request, and of Amanda in particular. The person in charge of our venue was a bit chaotic and stressful, and Amanda was an island of calm and competency during our most anxious moments, even coming back early from a family trip to make sure everything went smoothly at our wedding. The food was delicious, the staff prompt and capable and competent, and just an overall delight to work with - they made our wedding low-stress and delicious. Chef by request catered a party of 70 people to celebrate my son’s wedding in our backyard. It was a Hawaiian Loua with a pig roast. The weather was rainy and it was pouring when everyone arrived but they were very calm and set everything up on our deck. The food was delicious and their service was outstanding. I was able to enjoy the party while they served . Cleaned up and even packed leftovers. I would highly recommend them if you are doing an event. We hired CBR for my son's high school graduation party this month (June 2019).  This is about the 5th time that we have used CBR for fairly large outdoor events at our home (150ish people).  Without exception, the service and food have been outstanding.  They have been perfectly reliable, never failing on any element.  The guests consistently compliment the service and food.  Most recently, we worked with Amanda in making the detailed arrangements, and she was extremely helpful and patient.  Edwin and Liz staffed our event, and we couldn't have asked for a better run celebration. I could not have been happier with the amazing food and personal service of Al Shelton from Chef By Request. He stayed on site through our entire event, and was an invaluable partner in the success of our event. Cyndi, our bartender, was fun and attentive. Not only did she wow our guests with her personality, but she repeatedly found people throughout our space and had new drinks in their hands as they were finishing their last sips. They both made all of our guests feel cared for and I wish I was able to give them more than 5 stars on this review. They were the perfect partner. She went above and beyond by answering all my questions even outside of normal business hours! Everything went so smoothly on our big day thanks to CBR. I arrived early to our venue to be there in case CBR had questions during the set-up process. When I arrived, everything was set up EXACTLY as I envisioned. CBR are truly experts in what they do. When we first started planning for our wedding, we visited Elements as our first reception site…after meeting Cheryl Cady, the wedding coordinator, and seeing the beautiful venue (as well as wandering around Hotel Indigo, which is attached), we made our decision on the spot and booked Elements without looking anywhere else. Elements is absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t say a negative thing about it. Cheryl is so accommodating and professional, and really is on top of the whole process from the first booking to the actual day. She made this process very easy for us and we are so grateful. The other staff at Elements are also wonderful and made our wedding such an easy and memorable day. We have had numerous compliments from our guests about how good the food was, how beautiful the venue was, and overall, what a great time they had. We also loved that Cheryl added a special touch and gave us some alone time when we first arrived to the venue, where we could sit in the reception hall as a newly married couple, enjoy a drink and some appetizers, and get re-energized for the party that followed. Further, the fact that Elements is attached to Hotel Indigo, where our guests stayed, and is also in the heart of downtown Naperville really made it a perfect selection for hosting the biggest party of our lives. My fiance and I worked with Amanda and she couldn't have been more helpful or kind throughout the whole process. She listened to all of our needs right from the beginning. We were SO pleased with all the food that was served at our wedding and all of our guests only had great things to say about the food (especially the mac n cheese!!). We recently had our company holiday party at Elements. Everything was perfect. The venue is beautiful. The food was delicious. Cheryl and Marissa were so wonderful to work with accommodating us with holiday decor and up lighting probably before the time they normally provide those services. Cheryl also have great recommendations with food and wine choices and provided me with a few entertainment suggestions at my request. Our entertainment was awesome! They really are experts! Had such a fabulous experience Chef by Request Catering! Used Chef by Request Catering for my moms surprise 60th birthday and they really went above and beyond from the booking of the event. .. then assistance from ordering the food... they were on time to the minute for the surprise party (which is really important!), they had to move all the food twice because she was coming in from another door and would have spoiled the surprise (and they did it with a smile on their face). They were cool, calm and collected and helped me relax that they had their part under control. During the party they were so sweet, they even cleaned up. Working with Chef by Request for our wedding was an absolute pleasure. Amanda was amazing in getting back to us quickly on everything and making things as easy for us as she possibly could. The food was absolutely amazing! So many of our guests have let us know that they loved all the food from hors d'oeuvres, to the soup and salad(seriously may be my favorite soup of all time-the mushroom!), to the entrees everything was perfectly executed and tasted the same at our wedding as it did at the tasting, if not better.
