Chef Brothers Custom Catering

We looked at numerous caterers in Gainesville and Jacksonville prior to hearing about Chef Brothers Catering and I'm very glad we held off on making a decision until then. Chef Brothers was absolutely amazing! Kayleigh, their event coordinator, was very responsive to our emails and beyond helpful. They even held a group tasting, allowing us to try out almost their entire menu prior to making a decision.
Not only was their food amazing, I highly recommend their coconut shrimp and my husband loved their Cajun turkey, but they also provided all of the rental items we needed. We were able to get all of our table linens, china, and glassware, as well as several easels from them for a much more reasonable price than if we'd tried going through another company. I cannot say enough positive things about Chef Brothers! Kayleigh is a little hard to reach sometimes but her and the rest of her team really delivered on our wedding day! They went above and beyond assisting me with decorations and making all of the food displays look stunning. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was AMAZING. Their food is delicious! Our guests were so pleased and amazing by the assortment and the quality of the food at our wedding. Chef Bros has outstanding staff that will do anything to make your day as smooth as possible. They were happy to meet with us or talk with us on the phone about any questions we had. Before I found Chef Brothers I had talked to five other catering companies, but when I first talked to Kayleigh, I knew I found the one! First of all, their tasting was AMAZING, they host all of their upcoming brides and you get to request things to try (as well as all the other brides) so you get to try SO many things off of their menu! They are so accommodating and Kayleigh put up with my million questions without hesitation, she even found me the color table cloths I was searching for and at the cheapest price compared to other vendors. I haven't even mentioned the FOOD... The food at our wedding was SO good, I swear people that were at our wedding are still talking about it. People always say that the bride and groom won't have time to eat, but it was my MISSION to make sure I ate at my wedding because I couldn't wait to eat their food again! Chef brothers Catered for my wedding. They were extremely professional and were flexible with the menu. We really enjoyed being able to attend the tastings to try out what they had to offer. I met the owner and his daughter were both very nice and responsive. The staff were always nice during the tastings and during my wedding reception.I heard from other people that chef brothers food was really good, and I can attest that during my wedding the guests really loved the food as well. I particularly enjoyed the seared medium rare tuna, and it was the hit of the evening. Provided our own linens and napkins and chef brothers were happy to adjust the price. David is the sales manager And he was very easy to work with and get a hold of. We really liked the fact that the price per person was easily located on their website, however just be aware that it does not include silverware and linen rental if you choose to go with them for that stuff. Not only accommodated our daughter's complex centerpieces for her wedding reception, but finished them to perfection. The service was PERFECT, and the food was all the rave at the event. I have known Chef Brothers for a long time now, so of course when my husband and I decided to get married in the Gainesville area, it was a no brainer who our caterer would be. And of course they didn’t let down. Everyone was praising how the amazing the food was and that the staff was so polite and courteous. Peter is a master at his craft, and Kayleigh made the whole process of organizing everything and everyone so easy. I didn’t have to stress about decorations or setup or anything. Chef brothers did a great job! We booked with them a year out, and Kayleigh did a great job answering my questions and bearing with my type-A personality. Her team decorated the venue spectacularly, and took care of everything. It rained last minute, and we had to go to plan B, and they pulled it off great. The only two areas of improvement I would recommended are as follows: I received the final bill the day final payment was due. When I called to ask about giving them an e-check (as we’re not local) I was told they couldn’t do that and so I had to pay with card (which has an extra 3% fee). If I had been given the final bill with enough time to mail them a check, we could have saved about $90. Also, the food at the reception was great, but we did notice a slight difference between what we ate then and what we ate at the tasting. Among other things, we got the Neptune salad and seafood only jambalaya. Both seemed to be more liquidy than when we had tried at the tasting -the Neptune salad was very oily and there wasn’t as much seafood as there was at the tasting it seemed like. My husband said the stuff chicken was a little off too. All the flavor was there, though. Chef Brothers did great with providing a gluten-intolerant guest her own GF meal, and also our guests said how the appetizers were great during cocktail hour. We did pay the extra small fee for Kayleigh to coordinate our ceremony, which was a big bonus too! I would definitely recommend them. More...

Carl at the CGRC is such a wonderful person! I have been coming to the CGRC for years with various student and teacher programs. Every part of our experience with Chef Brothers was perfect! They catered our wedding of about 170 guests. Everyone I talked to after the fact said the food was amazing! The day of the reception they were there early and had all the tables set up just right! The staff for the event was so nice and helpful! They were so easy to work with before and during the event. From our first tasting we had we knew any food served was going to be delicious. There were so many choices and yet we were able to adjust to our taste.
The set up, the servers , the whole total package was wonderful. Our guest had a great time and they truly kept mentioning the food. We didn't have a lot of leftovers because people kept going back!
The whole table set up was worth it as well. Not having to worry about rentals was wonderful. They took care of it all.

In the past, all of my experiences with Chef Brothers have been professional with their amazing service. In the last few months, I have seen the quality of food and service decrease at their shop located at CGRC. The guy that makes the omelets is moody at times and doesn't make them as good as the girl who use to. He shuts down the omelet station well before 9:30am. They have lost variety in the food. It's the same thing every day. Sometimes the buffet is good and other times, I am not sure who comes up with the menu. The usual barista is very nice and remembers the regulars names and orders. She has been working their as long as I have been with UF. She is knowledgeable and provides good and prompt service. She connects with people and I never her see her take a lunch. But when she is not there, coffee is not made the same, people are waiting in lines or outside for someone to come back from break and the person(s) covering seems to be clueless as to pricing and products. I got married out of town (Jacksonville) and on a holiday. I was very happy with the service and professionalism. Food selection was fantastic and tasting event very helpful for selecting our menu. Food was excellent and reasonably priced considering all that was included. Worked with my cousin to accommodate her child's strict food allergies. Service was exceptional. Staff efficient, competent, courteous, accommodating, and friendly. Coordinator was hands down wonderful. She made our reception run smoothly and like clockwork while working around our improve schedule as a couple throughout the event. We didn't have to worry about anything or any details. Paying for the upgraded service/serving sets was well worth it. They all really helped to make it a special day filled with happy memories. They have a collection of decorations they make available to you as part of their service. Set up, including reception decorations, and tear down included. Children are at a reduced price. Where to start with how satisfied we are with Chef Brothers and Ms. Denise,
Ms. Denise was simply put amazing; she was professional, caring, intuitive, and for lack of a better word outstanding!
We would have been lost with out her guidance and truly put our minds and fears at ease.
