I used Andriy and his team for a move on 8/30 between two apartment buildings in Brooklyn (around 2 miles apart). Andriy's communication throughout was excellent and very prompt (normally within 5 minutes! ). He is very professional. He quoted me a great rate for the move. He arrived with two other men 30 minutes late but we completed everything within the three hour slot. His team was very quick and took good care of my belongings. I just made my move from Washington Heights to Astoria and I used Cheap Moving. I have to say I am really impressed. I started off by contacting them through Yelp and got a prompt response. I never felt like it was difficult to reach them, specifically Andriy, who manages the company. One thing that drew me to use Cheap Moving was the fact that we had a flat rate agreement beforehand. I listed all of my predicted amounts of boxes and furniture for my quote and we came to an agreement. It was nice to know exactly what I was going to pay. I was also lucky and got a phone call saying that they could come by sooner than expected, so we got the whole thing over with hours in advance. They called me about 1-1.5 hours before they arrived. Nothing got broken and everything was moved quickly and efficiently. It took about 2.5 hours in total. In addition to accommodating my desired furniture placement, they were kind enough to notice that my bedframe was missing a screw that I was too lazy to replace and they fixed it for me.Overall it was a great experience and I would/will definitely use them again for my next move. Andriy and his team are great. They've moved us twice, most recently on what I think turned out to be the hottest day of the year, up and down a fourth-floor walkup. They took apart and assembled furniture for us, and were patient with our less than optimal organization. Our stuff all made the second trip unscathed. We had used Andriy and his crew for a local move within Brooklyn a year and a half ago, and they had done an awesome job. So when it came time for us to move to Washington DC, we called Andriy first to see if he could do it . He does take long distance moves, and did so very professionally and efficiently. He even helped us out by scheduling a last minute extra move during the week before our weekend move to get some of our old furniture to my brother's new apartment in Sunnyside! It was extremely appreciated, and they did a great job (and now my brother has furniture!) On the weekend of the big move to DC, there was an insane heat wave where temperatures got up to 106-110 degrees. Andriy and his crew were such champs--we had been worried about them moving in that heat down a 4 story walk-up in Brooklyn, but they came at 7am to beat the heat, moved very quickly and carefully, and were done moving all of our things by 9am. Then, they dropped off our boxes and furniture the next morning in Washington DC at 9am, and were done by 11am. Andriy and his company are a complete godsend. This is a late review because I used this service about a year ago. But since it's almost time to move again - found myself appreciating the amazing job Andriy and team had done last time, and wanted to add to all the other great feedback they have been getting! They were very efficient and quick with getting my boxes and other items on the truck, and were very accommodating about the fact that I added one item last minute. I offered to pay extra but they refused. They also helped me set up my bed for a minimal fee (another last minute add on he was kind enough to offer), in spite of having several other appointments in the same day. Will definitely be using their moving services again. This is the first yelp review I have ever written, but genuinely found myself having a much more stress free moving day than expected simply because of how helpful (and reasonably priced) they were! Andriy and his helper were incredible and made my move the most seamless experience I've had moving. Andriy was so communicative prior to the move which gave me so much peace of mind. They were quick, efficient and trustworthy. They finished my 1 bedroom in about 30 minutes! Then drove to a second location to pick up a very heavy mid century dresser on a 5 floor walk up. A job that would have taken the average at least an hour took 20 minutes. They set up my new room for me and everything went perfect. I am so happy I hired him and his team. My only advice is HIRE THESE GUYS. It will make your move so simple. There is a reason they are professionals. Also please please tip them! I really can not stress enough how easy Andriy made the moving process. After a decade of moving myself, this was the first time I ever hired someone to help and now I can never go back. He was fast, efficient, and also very helpful in the days leading up to the move. I had some serious doubts that some of my furniture would fit up the stairs in my new apartment building and I emailed him (arguably too much) in the days leading up to the move to make sure that everything would be OK. He answered all of my questions quickly, reviewed images I sent him of the space and assured me it would be fine (spoiler alert--it was indeed fine). It's also worth noting that it snowed a decent amount the day of my move and Andriy showed up with a shovel to help make sure that the path out of my apartment was clear.Tl;dr he's fast, affordable, reliable and considerate. These guys are great! I was unsure what to expect when hiring movers for the first time, but working with Andriy was a very easy and straightforward experience with reasonable rates. He and his team are a well-oiled machine. They took great care in wrapping my furniture and transporting my items as efficiently as possible. They helped move some items to storage as well, which was a huge relief. Andriy helped place my furniture in the new apartment, and even gave safety advice on securing a tall wardrobe to the wall (thank you!). I had a great experience with this moving company! I moved to Brooklyn from Philadelphia and they helped me unload my pickup truck. They were very quick and patient and arranged things as I requested. The whole move was finished within 45 minutes. I used this company and liked them. I was just moving a small office not too far. The owner victor was not gruff or rude I never spoke to a secretary or left a message. He and other mover came on time, worked quickly none of my stuff was damaged he even did some repair work on a desk of mine. The price was very low I don't know how or why but who can argue? My hubby booked him, and it was really straight forward. He reached out a few times to inquire about what we have that needs special packaging from him. He showed up by 9, and our apt was a mess when they arrived. He assessed the damage, and him and his assistant started.  He was super nice, and was pleasant the whole time. Andriy was so incredible to work with. Never in 5 years of living in NYC have I ever seen someone so willing to collaborate and work hard to achieve a goal. His communication skills are amazing, he replied back to all my questions almost instantly, which really provided a sense of comfort in a stressful time such as moving. His team picked up my stuff (one room in a 3rd floor walkup in Brooklyn) in not even a half hour and then Andriy personally drove to Pittsburgh, PA the very next day (drove overnight!) and dropped my stuff off at my home. I moved twice with Cheap Moving within Brooklyn. Once, from neighborhoods about a half hour apart, and again for a move that was only two blocks. Both times, the movers were fast and efficient and cheap! During one move, we realized my couch couldn't fit through my new apartment foyer. I was hesitant to pick movers from the typical stories you hear. Andriy however was quite professional and calm. Arrived at my house to give me an estimate based on my furniture and box count. On the day off the move, he arrived and I had extra boxes that I planned to move myself...he insisted that he load those up as well which I felt was a very nice gesture.Overall no damage to any furniture, excellent price, quick hard workers, carried some heavy furniture through the stairwell even though initially everything was planned by elevator. Amazing!! Andriy helped me with my move yesterday. This was by far my best moving experience-- Andriy is awesome! I didn't have too much, so he came with a van and the whole process was very easy. Can I say WOO just WOW! I have used Cheap Moving Company 2x already and both times Ive been beyond impressed and the ease of booking, very professional, they make it seem SO seamless. The went above my expectations. They make sure to protect all of your furniture, they took apart and rebuilt my furniture, never once did they seem stressed even when my elevator stopped working and they had to go up and down 4 flights of steps.
