I am pleased to provide a recommendation for Ms. Wynter. In 1997, I interviewed a number of decorators and attended a number of decorating seminars. Ms Wynter's seminars were realistic in design and subsequently I hired Ms. Wynter to help me update my residence. Prior to that date, my husband had been ill for a number of years so it was essential that I have help. Wynter Interiors provided a full service home design for our main floor. Charmaine the owner travelled to Ottawa took measurements discussed my needs and my desired style/look and developed a 3-D virtual tour of my main floor with her suggested design based on information and choices we discussed. All of the furniture was delivered to which she came back to Ottawa and assembled and put together. Renovated our kitchen. Did an outstanding job. Carried out as turn key contract. Design and installed, creative design, required moving a wall and giving more space in kitchen. New appliances new, cupboards, new flooring to kitchen,living and dining rooms, new lighting were installed. Open to customer changes as implementation progressed. Project was completed on time, on budget and to prior agreed cost extras. Was on site frequently as work progressed. She kept a good vigilance on the competent trades she had hired.

Guests we have had have since the remodel have raved at the more comfortable and open feeling the kitchen, dining, living room space.

In 1996, my husband passed away and due to his prolonged illness, my home desperately needed updating. After attending Ms. Wynter's seminars, I realized that she was more realistic, not only with respect to my needs and budget but also with respect to those of her younger audience, who had young children. I hired Ms. Wynter and was more than surprised with the outcome. She was able to update my 1970's home starting with my panelled family room, cosmetically changing my bedrooms, living/dining room, kitchen and hallways. The results were amazing. Ms. Wynter and I discussed my budget and I am pleased to report that any additional challenges were kept to a minimum. I have hired Ms. Wynter since then on some of my more major purchases and she has always been more than helpful on my more minor concerns.
Would I recommend her ... absolutely. Would I hire her again ... definitely.
Sometime in the future, I will be moving and it is my distinct pleasure in hiring her again. More...

I wanted to redo my bedroom to make it inviting and relaxing. I wanted something traditional with zest and a modern edge. How do you combine all of that in one room ? Charmaine has helped me design 2 of my homes, pick paint colours and help to design a kitchen of my dreams at my cottage.


She has always managed to be able to find out what I was looking to and put my ideas in place. No more of painting a room 6 times as it wasn't really the colour I wanted. She helped me with my current home from the drawings from the builder and helped me make changes all the way to the paint colours, wall paper, flooring, curtains, wall hanging, furniture and placement of all.

9 years later, I will be calling her for a freshing up as everything still tooks good other than small changes.

I have used Charmaine Wynter twice to help pick interior and exterior colours for my home. I also called on Wynter Interiors to select a wall paper print for my powder room.

I was VERY pleased with the results. People always comment on how inviting and warm the colours make my home. The reaction to the exterior paint job was even bigger and created a trend in the neighbourhood (3 neighbours changed their exterior paint jobs as a result).

I still haven't decided on a plan for my master bedroom, but will definitely be calling on Wynter interiors Inc once I am ready. Definitely recommend that anyone use their services.
