Ordered two steak dinners to go for a special occasion. Each steak was priced at $51 each. Steaks were over cooked, burnt and had no good flavor. Tasted like rubber. Called the restaurant back and they blamed me for ordering steaks to go. Offered me a gift card and I said I wanted my money back. I picked it up this morning and owner and his dad verbally attacked me when I got there. Told me to never come back. They had plenty of customers left regardless of the many bad reviews over the internet. “Go ahead and post a bad review we don’t care we are packed here every night”. Well here it is. These people are unprofessional and think they can just overprice everything and take your money regardless of the quality of food and service. The employees were phenominal! Unfortunately the prices are a bit extreme. Also I spent almost $40 on a prime rib that was undercooked, had absolutely no seasoning on it and was 50% gristle. I didn’t understand the plating, I got an undercooked prime rib laying on top of the most bland mashed potato’s. My sons supper from the kids menu was better than mine. visited 2 times before and it was a nice dinner and lunch but the customer service while trying to make a reservation for another visit ended up with me holding for over 12 minutes while listening to what sounded like the kitchen staff yelling and screaming at one another. I'm guessing the phone was put down and forgotten about. if your service is that lacking out of the gate then it's probably not somewhere that I want to go again More...

I went to the Char House for my birthday dinner last weekend. Reservations were made for 6 PM on the patio. My husband was told there was a comedy show starting at 7 that we would have to buy a $10 ticket for in order to reserve the patio. We agreed because we REALLY wanted to enjoy the fall night outside. Long story short, an employee came out halfway through the meal and tried to get our party of 6 to all get up and move inside because they needed our table for someone who had “reservations” for the comedy night. We told them we were under the impression we were staying for the show. We ended up staying outside and they put up a random table in the back by the bar, and the other party never even showed. The service was sub-par. Waitress was unfriendly/not knowledgeable of the menu, and never acknowledged my birthday even though she saw me opening up gifts. Went there for my mom’s 60th bday dinner. Our waitress was soooooo bad. She wasn’t friendly or personable. She wasn’t knowledgeable of the drink/wine menu and questioned my order until I showed it to her. She was somewhat rude when we asked about substituting the side. And then, when asked if the vegetable was prepared sweet or savory-all she said with an attitude was “i don’t know” and didn’t attempt to find out for us. Aside from that, the food was ok. The bruschetta was good. The scallops were not seared correctly but weren’t over cooked. And the veg of the day was carrots. Carrots??? These meals are pricey and we got bland undercooked carrots. Not one of our party of 9 liked them. No salt, no herbs, no Parmesan... gross! I would try it again but not have high expectations. More...

Yesterday, was my first time at the char house. Christa was our waitress she was excellent and personable. Food omg was not $50 steaks worthy, they weren’t cooked right not once but twice. This was our 3rd time here, we ordered pizzas which were awesome- but decided to try the homemade chips for the first time- they were burnt and had none of the seasoning. We each ate literally one chip each (2 of us) and couldn't stomach anymore. We told our waitress who was Otherwise great- and she apologized but didn't take the $7 charge off the bill. My family works there like my aunt Tracey and my uncle jimmy and my cousins Braxton Delaney and my aunt Tammy and my cousin Nikki and Shae and trae and staff and they great food I love their food and drinks char house as a business and a family restaurant we all love all of their heart and passion they have in char house is amazing they all work hard everyday for hours is amazing and I will be working to help out soon at char house char house is the place to go when you are hungry for their food it’s delicious

So, here's my honest review on The Char House. It was okay, it could've been better! Hubby wrote them a couple days ago and told them it was our anniversary dinner and they said they would do something special and there was nothing! It was too hot and too loud to sit inside so we ate outside, but the outside is very beautiful!! I thought the pizza was awesome, hubby said it was okay, he had the burger said it was good, but not worth 14 bucks, I had the Char smoked chicken which was very good!! I honestly think they're still working out some kinks being new and everything, I will give them another try in a month or so!! More...
