On a Thursday afternoon in Tahoe, I was struggling for a couple of hours to find a way to deliver a gift to my mother-in-law in Shoreham whose birthday is this Sunday. None of the big names - 1-800-Flowers, Harry and David, Amazon, etc. - could deliver. Chappell's Florist took my order and delivered a day early! I also had a great experience when I called their shop the next day to get confirmation that they can push through with the delivery on time. Chappell's Florist saved the day for me! It was daughter's first birthday away from home. She is a student at UVM.  I wanted to make it special for her and figured flowers would brighten her day and dorm room. Chappell's delivered. My daughter loved the flowers and she sent me a picture. They really are a nice bouquet for what I told Chris I wanted to spend.  She got them mid morning which is great because she sleeps late, of course. Chappell's did all the flowers for our wedding and I was truly blown away. Everything was so beautiful. I couldn't have asked for anything to be better. They designed our arch flowers on sight and I was blown away every time I looked at them. My bouquet made me feel like a queen and all the other bouquets were sweet, pretty, and exactly what I wanted. We had Chappell's Florist do our wedding flowers for this past Saturday (August 12) and they were absolutely beautiful. I went to my initial consultation not really sure what I wanted, just knowing I wanted some pops of sunflower, blue colors, and they took that inspiration and ran with it. When my bouquet arrived to me the morning of my wedding, It was so stunning! The only small issue we had was that my husband's boutineer ended up breaking off it's stem right after the ceremony so he didn't have it for photos. This was no fault of the florist though, flowers are delicate, so we were not phased by it at all. I Highly recommend, prices are reasonable, and the service is 5-star! More...

This is a wonderful florist! I highly recommend! I wanted to send a special birthday arrangement to my daughter and Chappell's did an amazing job creating a beautiful, fresh, pastel colored bouquet exactly to my specifications. They even had a lovely box of chocolate truffles as a delicious addition!I received an email confirmation letting me know the exact time of delivery and will use them again soon.The other florist I tried to contact never returned my calls and after leaving several messages and I am so happy i found Chappell's on Yelp.My daughter received many compliments on the arrangement and it filled her house with beauty and a spring like aroma for at least a week.Thank you Chappell's! I was looking for a nice get well arrangement for my stepmother. There isn't much competition in town, but for the price Chappell's arrangements looked the best. I am always wary of the final product not looking anything like the picture but I loved that they post on their website which pricing option will get you the arrangement you are looking at. Did I also mention I ordered online from across the country at 9pm PST? I made a request to have them delivered by lunch the next day. I did pay the rush fee which was very reasonable and they were delivered on time. The arrangement is beautiful. I can't really speak to customer service, as I didn't actually speak to anyone, but the website and ordering process was painless and I appreciated the delivery confirmation email as well. More...

I discovered long ago that if you are from a major city or used to sophisticated floral arrangements (ones not consisting of ferns, 3 multi-colored daisies and 2 carnations) you will be pretty disappointed with most northern VT florists.  I suggest going to the shop and then directing the florist in exactly how you would like the arrangement to look.  That's why years ago when I used to live away from VT, I never sent my mom flowers. I'd send her local chocolates or something else instead.  I learned the hard way back in the 1990s.  For my mom's bday (St. Patrick's Day) I called in a request to a florist in Middlebury (since closed) for a nice arrangement. I ended up paying $70 for 6 green carnations sticking out of a green foam log - with bits of fern poking out every which way.  Even my mom was horrified.  Luckily, they gave me a refund.That's why now, that I live in VT, I go to Chappell's and guide them through the process.  I pick my own flowers and tell them how I want them arranged and I'm always happy that way.  For Vermont they have a very good selection of flowers and they come in "fresh" each week.  Probably the best florist in the area.  There is a very nice one in Shelburne, too.  But I forget the name.  More along city standards.Last time Kelly (at Chappell's) helped me and she was wonderful. I really liked her.If you are considering sending a local in Vermont flowers (and you're calling them in from elsewhere) I suggest rethinking your gift idea.  Send chocolates or a gift certificate to their favorite restaurant instead. Or be very specific on the phone because the arrangements online never end up looking the same way in reality...  At least not in northern VT :) More...

I work and live in Manhattan so I love the quick/friendly service. I'm from Vermont so I randomly call in flowers for my family. The staff are fantastic - so happy after my order today. They went above and beyond to deliver my mom a last minute valentine delivery! She got her flowers so fast. Very helpful. My mom texted me that her v-day roses were the most beautiful yet. I love surprising my friends and family with a thoughtful delivery at a great price and I LOVE that I can call and order with my card on file...they can keep a record of where I previously sent flowers - so simple! I know they haven't gotten good reviews, but I'm a little surprised by that. Perhaps deliveries are different. I had Chappell's do my wedding flowers, and they came out absolutely beautifully. I got great customer service! Amazing peach, pinks, reds, and orange colored bouquets. Everything delivered on time to the wedding, which included bridesmaid bouquets, bridal bouquet, etc. Very affordable for what we got, and absolutely stunning, fresh flowers. Couldn't have been happier. And it was as easy as it gets to plan, as i came from out of state. They matched my color scheme right from a phone call and pinterest photos. : ) More...
