Celebrity Helicopter Tours are fantastic. Their location at the Compton Airport is centrally located in the middle of Los Angeles. The staff is excellent and Robin the owner is wonderful. I have flown in many helicopters and he is in the top 1% of Helicopter Pilots I've flown with in my career as a producer here in Los Angeles for many years. There is a fabulous museum at the airport you can go through vintage Airplanes and Helicopters as well as military vehicles on the tarmac as well as an indoor museum that's really quite fun to look at while you're waiting for your flight. We had a fantastic time and would go back to Celebrity Helicopters every time we want to do some thing by air here in Los Angeles. Our goal is to take Robbins Helicopter trip to Catalina where are you land and have a little champagne hang out and then fly back. This is a wonderful way to celebrate a special occasion, go on a date or bring the  family.We plan on going back to Celebrity Helicopters at the Compton Airport many times and we have never had more confidence or felt more safe with any aviation group than this team here at Celebrity Helicopters & Airplane Flight Tour's. I reserved a helicopter flight and a Limouisine pickup on their web page. I paid online and they accepted the money. The Limouisine never arrived. No one called me.I called the number on their website. Immediate voicemail that "I'm in the air- will call you back".  I got same vmail message at midnight. I called a couple more times. Wound never book or recommend this place to anyone I know. This review is long overdue. It's for Valentine's Day 2021. My hubby booked a surprise helicopter tour that was scheduled for 4:30 so I Can enjoy the sunset. Mind you, I had NO idea until we pulled in to the parking lot. First of all, he told me he had the VIP package and we were initially suppose to be picked up at home by a luxury sedan but that he received a call on Thursday to tell him they had overbooked and had no driver to pick us up and that they would refund the $100+ it cost for that service. He was told we would get extra "fly time" for the inconvenience (He had paid for a 55 min ride, which was actually cut to a shorter 30 min ride so that was a LIE) I'm gonna sum this up as much as possible. We arrived at 4 and did not get on a helicopter until 7:30 or so. The waiting area was full of upset couples, some who had been waiting since 2pm and many who had to leave because they had dinner reservations. Now the pilot eventually spoke with us around 6:30 and said the delay was due to "safety" because of the winds. I'm like ok, valid reason. However, after talking to some couples, we realized that was a lie!! They booked so many couples for the same time slot and I'm sure they were aware of that the Thursday they found out they overbooked pickups. We waited because we didn't have any reservations and didn't want to take the risk of not getting refund since we already felt they were a shady company. We FINALLY make it on to the helicopter with Robin and the flight and view was amazing~ I won't deny that. What I didn't like about the ride was that Robin kept talking about a female customer who was very upset because she had paid $1k and had been waiting for hours. He kept referring to her as "that b@#ch" and spent a lot of the time talking about their encounter. First of all, this lady had every right to be mad. We all did. I know how important customer service is and talking about a disgruntled client to another client is a big NO! Plus, I just wanted to enjoy the scenery and try to make the best of this already bad situation and his constant comments didn't help. My husband still hasn't gotten this refund for the pickup service we did not get. He has called and emailed them and he's yet to see that money back. They had cut our air time from 55 to 30 min so they probably did that to a lot of the couples, which means they made quite a bit of money for a service they didn't provide. My husband said he booked with them because all the other companies were fully booked for Valentine's Day so he was so excited when he found a time slot with them. I was surprised with a helicopter ride for my birthday. OMG what an experience!! From beginning to end, we were greeted with a smile, and nothing but smiles and excitement from there. The views over LA and background of the area were nothing short but amazing. These guys took great pictures for us and made long lasting memories for years to come. Thank you Robin for such an amazing flight and for getting us back safe! my husband booked a flight for my surprise bday and let me tell you it was beautiful! Robin posed as just a photographer (super friendly & funny)  he came out with the red carpets (Hollywood style) & at first I was like oh okay this is cool and then we got in the Helicopter, thinking oh okay were doing some inside the copter for more pictures and he's sanitizing the headsets and I was thinking oh wow they go all in for pictures lol so we put on our seat belts and I was like uhh okayyy so he gets in and starts up the helicopter hahahah turns out he was the pilot lol. Robin had music going (through the headsets) he was singing, dancing telling us about different places, got to see the sunset (epic) just an overall great person and great experience. I totally recommend this place, you wont regret it. Def a birthday I will remember and bucket list checked off!!! Robin your the MAN!!! More...

Such an amazing helicopter ride!! I surprised my fiancé for his birthday and we hit really bad traffic, we were about 10 minutes late and Robin was very nice and understanding. My wife and I were gifted a one hour ride with Robin.  It was amazing!  After taking off we headed for LB /LA harbor, over to PV and then up the coast.  From there we saw UCLA the Hollywood and Sunset Blvd, just to name a few iconic places. All the time Robin was entertaining while pointing out celebrities homes and significant landmarks.The tour was beyond our expectations,  however the best part was listening to Robin talk about his afterschool program for intercity kids.  He helps them with homework, has them clean aircraft and teaches them to fly for free.  As we listened to him talk about the kids he has helped, we saw a kindhearted person who loves to share his passion of helping those who are less fortunate.If you want an experience of a lifetime, with an amazing person you cannot do any better than Robin at Celebrity Helicopter. Robin is a fascinating pilot. He took my mom and I flying just over 100 ft over the gorgeous LA beaches with a  view of the pacific, right by the Hollywood sign, and straight through the stunning skyscrapers in downtown LA. This experience was amazing! I took my daughter and it was our 1st time in a helicopter. We met Robin at the location in Compton. It was a really cool building in a nice area and very easy to find. Anyone concerned of going here because of the area, don't be!! It was safe and we would definitely go again. The ride was beyond amazing and Robin was fun and had lots of information about everything we were seeing. He played great music and took us by all the sights we wanted to see. We will definitely be back on our next trip to LA More...

As a 12th birthday gift, I took my son on a helicopter tour ride. Robin made sure my son felt special on his day. Besides taking us over downtown LA and Dodger Stadium, he also flew us over our house and my niece's house, my son texted his cousin and asked her to come outside and she saw us. My son was ecstatic and had a smile from ear to ear the whole time and he also took some amazing pictures and this he says he will use  to brag lol Robin made it happen on his bday!! If you book a ride for two: you might have some random stranger stuck into the helicopter with you and your s/o, so forget about having an intimate, quiet cruise over LA! For a $450 experience, I really was not expecting them to stick a stranger into the helicopter with my boyfriend and I, let alone an incredible talkative one. I get it though, the helicopter technically seats the pilot +3, so of course they'd want to make as much as possible per ride..There are headsets you have to wear so you can hear each other talk and unfortunately 'each other' includes everyone on the helicopter, the pilot and a stranger.And the headsets were mildly sticky.. i should have brought sanitizing wipes. Audio was muffled and played some random music that would get cut every 5 seconds so that our stranger could make a comment about some freeway or mountain or road. Staff doesn't really wear masks. We had a BLAST on our LA tour with Robin! The views were incredible and his singing wasn't too bad either  he flew us all over LA and it was so cool to get to see our city from a different perspective. July 16th was our third time flying with Robin. He never disappoints! Last July (2020) during Covid quarantine we decided to fly for my son's 18th birthday. It was great! What a thrill after being so bored for months previously. Well, the following week was my daughter's birthday, so she wanted to go up flying. We did, and it was just as exciting as the first time the week before. Fast forward to July 2021, my son's 19th birthday - he wanted to do it again! That's how awesome this is. I can't recommend Celebrity Helicopters enough. It's a fantastic, thrilling experience every time and I already can't wait to go again. We plan to try the new "Catalina Experience" next. We had an amazing day with Robin with flights to and from the airport in the sky on Catalina. Robin is professional, highly experienced, friendly. .. and put on good music for the flight. We saw dolphins and sun fish and had a chance to see the island from the air which was beautiful. Definitely an amazing experience. Tomorrow's Aeronautical Museum was great to see too! More...
