Captains BBQ is a treat. We stumbled across it shortly after we moved down here years ago thanks to mala compra trails. So astonishing. Every time we have family in town we atleast go once during their visit. I always have held this place to extremely high standards. I am sad to say I had a bad experience yesterday. My poor chicken breast was so small I couldn’t believe it. I tried to inform the kitchen and they said that’s just normal. I have never seen a chicken breast so small! They wouldn’t give me another one and I walked away with sadness :(. Hopefully that changes! More...

You know when you pull in the parking lot and you see the huge smoker with the man tending to all the meat, that it is going to be fresh and delicious! And that is exactly what it was… Paired with their Carolina Tangy and their sweet barbecue sauce, the pulled pork sandwich was terrific! Great location on the ICW. Pretty good food, pulled pork is always good, brisket depends on how long since it been out of the smoker, all their sides are delicious, and they have a great selection of bottled beers.

We cannot speak highly enough about Captains BBQ! We had them cater our wedding and it was PERFECT! We wanted a buffet style dinner and they killed it! Such a professional and friendly catering staff! The food was to die for!
