Ordered for delivery, the woman on the phone was very friendly. I ordered the white pizza with meatballs and the fried calamari. The style of pizza is New York. So they quoted 40 minutes and it was exactly that long until it was delivered. Friendly delivery guy, and I have to say since it was promptly delivered expecting it hot and gooey cheese on my pizza. But the exact opposite the calamari was Luke warm and the pizza even colder to the touch the cheese had already hardened. So on that first impression is maybe I should have eaten there for the first time and not done delivery. So I warmed up the appetizer of calamari in the oven to crisp it up and it had amazing flavor and would definitely get that again. I waited a little longer to heat up the pizza the same way. Glad I did, it is definitely better to have the white pizza hot then cold. It was a good flavor, expected the meatballs to not be sliced but just smaller versions on the pizza, but I liked it. I really don't understand the good reviews for this place. The food is low quality, the staff were not washing their hands and there was one woman coughing all over the place with out at least trying to use her shoulder to cough into. Not to be rude but I've had frozen pizza better than this place. The secret to good pizza is the dough... it has to be fermented over a day this place taste like they used their kid's easy-bake oven dough packets for their dough...it was some cicis pizza type quality for sure. We are new to the area, so I asked my next door neighbor where was the best place to get a pizza and he recommended Salvo's. Salvo's is a small Italian restaurant and they do so much more than pizza. They have handmade pasta dishes, Stromboli, salads, and some awesome pizza. We had a Stromboli, Caesar salad, and two slices of pizza (they sell by the slice as well as whole pies). We loved everything! And everyone behind the counter was also friendly and helpful. We had plenty of leftovers to take home, too. The NY style crust was thin and foldable, the toppings were plentiful, and the garlic knots…not very garlicky, but man they were huge and packed a lot of cheese and butter flavor. looking at the reviews we decided to give this place a try.. we placed an $65 order to be delivered. We got a large deep dish and a white pizza. the white pizza was pretty good but the problem came with the large deep dish. When we opened the box there was wax paper on it. when peeling it off it took a majority of the toppings with it. Not sure if the wax paper was put on upside down but it all stuck to the paper and was unable to even be peeled off. When contacting them they didn't care to refund or remake. so bummer. More...

I had family coming into town and my husband promised I'd make lasagna! I did not want to shop and cook and clean after a long day so I knew who to call! I placed an order for lasagna, salad, and garlic knots to be delivered an hour before they got here, put everything in my pans and bowls and never told them I didn't make it! We all loved it!! I will never spend my day cooking and cleaning for my guests again :) I didn't tell them I didn't make it but I want salvos to get all the credit they deserve! Thank you Salvo's!! More...

Not sure why the ratings are so high.The food isn't "bad" per se, but it's nothing to get excited about.I ordered a meat lovers, Buffalo wings, and the pesto bread for delivery. The good news is the pizza was loaded with toppings. But ever pizza should start with a great crust. This one is meh. No flavor and bread like texture. Not gross but no better than u could do at home.Not sure how the wings are cooked but the chicken skin is very chewy instead of crispy meaning they're unlikely fried. If they are they sit out for a very long time. The Buffalo sauce is as basic as it comes and under seasoned. As was everything else.The pesto bread was good. But like everything else, under seasoned.My suggestion for this place would be to work on the seasonings & slow ferment the dough so it can build more flavor. Unless it's bought in of course which wouldn't surprise me to be honest.Bottom line, do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks and order from Five Points instead. Wow holy big portions, from kids meal spaghetti to calzones, stromboli and single slice pizza. Very good food and nice waitress! Awesome to support a local business and many other were as well with lots of take out orders. Gentleman making pizza was fun to watch flipping the pizza and fast paced he was working. Ate in and they only sat at probably 50% capacity so social distancing was definitely met!  My only thing I would comment on is the wearing of the masks of the employees, they need to cover your nose and mouth, not kept below the nose, I know the frustration as I wear one at work for 12 hours. Decent attempt. I had a supreme, the wife had the Pesto pizzas. Both had flavor which seems to be a rarity now (vs cardboard). The family salad was definitely fresh as it was tasty. My only complaint was the crust. It was too thin and under cooked at the center. It couldn&#39;t support itself. The result was the need to eat it with a fork. All in all a decent attempt. Not great, but not what I would consider 5 star worthy. <br><br>With that, I will try them again. I&#39;ll go for the double crust to see if that makes the difference. One suggestion we all tend to miss though. Check your Togo order. I was shorted the desert I ordered. An oversight of both parties...<br><br>Update 7/30<br>I&#39;m response to the &#34;hope you give us another try&#34; comment, I tried.... placed my double crust order hoping it would be better than the first attempt. Alas, it wasn&#39;t meant to be!<br><br>I was met at the counter by an employee who asked for my name to look up the order. Only to push a button or two and she preceded to walk away. At the same time another employer asked if I needed help. I made an order last night, main dishes were ok but my soda was wrong and my cheesecake was forgotten. No big deal, I called up and they sent me my cheesecake and right soda not even 20 minutes later. When I got my soda I put it in the fridge for it to get cold and left it there over night, grabbed it this morning and drank some. My mother in law pointed out it was out of date and to not drink it, so I called up and let them know. The manager I spoke to told me she would make a note of the soda being outdated and that was the end of the conversation. The manager had said that Coca Cola themselves sent them the shipment not even a few days ago and she would make &#34;a note&#34; about the outdated soda. I had the most amazing hot sub at Salvo’s! I’ve also had the pizza that was made to perfection! If you like your pizza with loads of toppings and cheese hanging from the sides of each piece, then Salvo’s is the place for you!

Update from 5/17/20 visit.  A friend came by to visit and we decided to get pizza.  Well it was a no brainer as to where we would go.  As always, Salvo&#39;s hit the mark.  She lives in Bellevue and said it was worth the drive to Hermitage to get such a great pizza.  But the surprise was the meatballs.  OMG!  They were unbelievable.  We wished we had purchased 2 orders, they are that good!  Topped off with lemoncello and the nice Merlot my friend brought, well it was the most memorable meal in a while.  Salvo&#39;s is our go to place now as it should be yours.
