Ordered on the phone for takeout. We got hummus, muhamara, spinach pies, Lebanese lahmajun, foul medamas, falafel and lamb hashwa which came with labneh. The person who took our order on the phone was very courteous and everything was ready for pickup when we arrived. They even offered to give us cutlery and plates. The stand out dishes for us were the creamy hummus, the sweet muhamara, the tangy spinach pies and the lamb hashwa. We will definitely be ordering the lamb hashwa again as it was filled with pine nuts and the shredded lamb shank was melt in your mouth tender. Also, we have not found this dish in other restaurants in the area. The Lebanese lahmajun was also very tasty and they have so many varieties of lahmajun here. This restaurant has the nicest staff on the planet, AND their food it just amazing! We ordered their family meal plus a couple of other appetizers. Everything was delicious. Every dish was well-seasoned, the meat was cooked perfectly, portions were very generous. Also, to give you an idea of how nice everyone is, I went inside to pick up my food and right after I grabbed it, one of the guys asked if he could give me a hand, and before I could even answer he took back the box to help me bring it all to the car. What a phenomenal find! Driving through Paterson, the family decided the grab something while we were in the area. This place had a nice modern look which caught our eye. Went in and placed a to-go order, and received really kind service while placing my order, added a desert as well based on a recommendation. I was already liking this place and I hadn't even tasted a thing yet, but the aromas inside we awesome. Waited 15 minutes, went in and had to wait a few more minutes for my order to complete. The employee at the front, a different person than who took my order, was also really nice. Since I waiting, he gave me a sample of their "mint lemonade" which was awesome! Then the food came, we went home to eat it, and the shawarma both chicken and beef were some of the best I've had in the states. The hummus tasted like it was made fresh, not from powder like many other places. The French fries were INSANE! It's really great when you see service and food both excel at a place. First things first, I have never had such a friendly experience placing an order over the phone. This alone made my take out experience 10x better. After heading into the store to pick up my order, I found out the manager was the one who took my order over the phone. He was just as professional and friendly in the store as he was on the phone. I complimented him and the owner for their quality of service. As for the food, everything was delish and still the perfect temperature by the time we got home. Nice place, with hospitable staff. We tried the spicy Syrian pizza with Syrian sausages. It was really good, the cheese remained stretchy even after a good while. Would recommend!

Today was really disappointed. Usually I come here once a month from NYC . I have been here many time food is great and service used to be. We ordered 3 specials , it took 53 mins to come out a simple shawarma plate ...first the brought the olives with no bread ,after 20 mins someone realized that there is no bread in our table. The food was ok, but just took way too long . They used to serve sweets at the end but seems that has changed. Okay let me start off by saying this is simply MY opinion and that I really wanted this to be a good review, but unfortunately, it' s not. We waited over an hour for our food to come out and the food was decent at best. All our food came out seperately with about a 10 minute time period between each dish. We ordered the mixed shawarma sandwich which was alright but there was no sauce paired with it (I had to ask for garlic sauce). The mixed shawarma platter was on the dry side and was supposed to be served with grilled vegetables but all we got was a tomato and pickle and they weren't even grilled. The spinach pie was very dry inside and lacked flavor. We also ordered the garlic and coriander fries which were soggy, super greasy, and also came out when we were finished with all our other food. However, we ordered all the Lahmajuns on the menu and they were actually pretty amazing. I also want to add that the staff were EXTREMELY nice! Anyways, i don't think I'll be coming back here anytime soon but if I do, I'll stick to the lahmajuns only! More...

We were shopping at the Nouri supermarket and we stumbled upon Nouri cafe which a restaurant serving fine Lebanese cuisine. The restaurant has a large parking lot in the back that is very convenient especially that parking spots are limited on the Main Street.We started with hummus, tabboulé that were both freshly made and tasty. Hummus came with freshly baked bread. Tabboulé had the right balance of lemon and olive oil. Parsley and tomatoes were freshly cut.For the main entrée, we took Nouri mix grill, kafta, and kibbé nayyé. Nouri mix grill comes with 3 skewers of kafta, shish taouk, and beef cubes that were very tender. Kafta platter come with two skewers kafta. All platters come with toum (garlic sauce) and with a choice of French fries or rice. Upon my wife's request for Arabic food for her birthday, I knew Paterson was the go-to area and stumbled across Nouri Cafe based on great reviews and an enticing menu. I'm not overly familiar with the food or the location (and about 45 minutes away) so I thought it would be exceptionally challenging. Well, George spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me, so patiently and kindly explaining his recommendations for our small dinner party. Talk about going above and beyond on service! What a breath of fresh air. He even recommended a great bakery in the area and the best desserts to pick up for the party. I ❤️ having a Middle Eastern neighborhood near me! SPINACH PIE, LENTIL SOUP, PEPPERMINT TEA & a TREAT: MOHALABIEH - Milk Pudding made w/ Orange Blossom & Rose Waters, topped w/ chopped Pistachios!
