Stopped in here for dinner on a Monday night after work. I read the yelp reviews. They seemed fairly positive. I now believe the good reviews were written by people who were drunk, have very low standards, or are family of the owner. This was one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant in a long time. They have that going for them, at least. From the time we walked in and could not tell if they were open with 2 people in the whole place, to the screwed up food order, this place was an epic fail. The bartender/server really made it known she didn't want to be there. Her attitude toward us was notably rude. Boneless wings were ordered with a specific request for celery. We were told celery came with the wings. Well imagine our surprise when the bone-in wings came out with no celery. She insisted we ordered traditional wings. Boneless and traditional don't even sound the same.  Fried pickle fries were ordered. They were inedible. The pickles looked like dehydrated pieces of green substance and tasted nothing like pickles. Mac and cheese was also ordered. Kraft Mac n' cheese is gourmet compared to the crap we were served. All the food came out lukewarm.   I asked for our check early because the food was gross. Server was not interested how our food was, didn't even bother to ask. I told her the fried pickles were terrible and her response was "they are pickle fries". I don't care, they were awful no matter what they were. When I told her the food was lukewarm, she said she was sorry I felt that way. It wasn't  feeling, it was a fact. I advised that there was no celery and she said she could go to the kitchen and get some. Really? That is your response? $36 and some change for food and service that were bad. I would not recommend this place to anyone, ever. I would give zero stars if it was an option. More...

This was me and my daughters first time here and it was phenomenal the Mac n cheese pizza was a hit so was the loaded tater tots I highly recommend it to anyone who eats here! :)

This is the best place in west Des Moines.      I love the drinks, the burgers, and the football.     There was also this waitress named Julia who was the best waitress I've ever had!

My wife and I just sat at the bar for 20 minutes waiting. We weren’t even greeted until we started to get up and leave. 2 regulars got served right next to us and we still were not even greeted or acknowledged. Horrible service and I wouldn’t recommend going unless you would like to just sit there the whole afternoon watching the tvs and not being served. More...

I brought my family here around 3pm yesterday. There were a few people at the bar eating, otherwise the place was empty. We waited 10 minutes and finally went and asked for menus. We waited another 10 minutes and my daughter and I finally walked up to the bar to place our order. The bartender was shuffling through receipts. He looked up at us twice, but never asked if we needed anything. Needless to say I'm glad I didn't waste my money. Thanks but no thanks. More...

Stopped in for lunch by myself on Labor Day weekend looking for a quick bite to eat before grocery shopping. I wasn't expecting anything special as it is attached to the mall, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was fairly dead in the restaurant due to the holiday causing a greeting from the bartender as soon as I sat down. They were incredibly friendly while staying attentive to everyone at the bar. Unfortunately, the menu didn't specify what was gluten free. You can't expect this from a sports bar, but would have been a nice addition to the menu. I played it safe and ordered a basic Titos and soda along with the nachos. Aside from my nachos being slightly burned on one side everything was exceptional. Would recommend More...

Went for happy hour tonight and they had all you can eat wings and trivia. Wings were delicious atmosphere was good and staff was friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back

Today was a continuation of celebrating my son's 12th birthday.  A trip to Hollister, then Jersey Mike's, and chocolate shakes from B Bops last night.  Dunkin Donuts this morning.  And two of his favorite things for lunch today...wings and mac n cheese.I've seen the hot and cold reviews.  But...I will say our service was pretty good.  We were greeted right away and told to take a seat anywhere.  There was only one server working and either a manager/owner was working the bar and occasionally busing tables.This spot has changed names so often and I've never been really impressed by any of them.  Some iterations I never even made it to before they closed.  The decor never really changes.  Just the signage and the menu.I ordered 10 traditional wings and a side of mac n cheese for my son.  The bang bang shrimp mac n cheese for myself (offered with Texas toast or a Bavarian pretzel stick).  And two sodas...   The total was $34ish before tip.In my opinion the wings were kind of over cooked (at least the flat I took), but my son enjoyed them.  Nothing but bones left on his plate...  He said his mac n cheese was good; someone went pretty heavy handed on the pepper...  My dish was good too, and at a next level of spicy.  My eyes even watered a little.  Thank God for free refills and an attentive server.  The blackened shrimp was perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned.Was I stunned?  No.  But neither the service or food sucked.  Would I go back?  Sure.  It might not be at the top of my list, but they're worth giving another shot and trying some of the other menu items.One thing set today apart more than anything though...   There was a gentleman who had obviously seen better days.  Possibly a little disoriented or inebriated...   A nice couple sitting near us had ordered him a burger and fries.  They finished their meal and asked my son and I to keep an eye on him to make sure he got his food.  I'd caught part of the conversation between them so I kind of knew what was going on anyway.He had gotten up with his beer and moved a few tables away.He did receive his food, but had multiple other things going on.  Up and down a lot.  At one point I thought he was getting up to flag the server down when he suddenly stumbled through the swinging doors and fell into the kitchen.Multiple people ran to check on him and staff.  WDM FD and PD arrived a few minutes later.  The concern from everyone was genuine, and it appeared he was known to the FD and the PD officers. They were still working with him when my son and I left.  He had hardly eaten any of the food.  I explained where the plate had come from to the officers and they asked for a to go container to make sure the food went with him and wasn't wasted.I think there's a fine line between helping and enabling sometimes.  What I saw today was helping.  Providing food and care.  Even though it wasn't the best overall situation there were obvious points of light.  It's always nice to see good in people. Especially when they don't necessarily know they are being watched. More...

I'm obsessed with their Mac n Cheese and ChiliMac oh and their thin crust pizza is to die for....the owner is a Steelers football fan so during the NFL season you can find the fan club meeting up to watch games together.

The food is amazing with an amazing atmosphere. COVID restrictions are lifting and you need to check this place out. Food games drinks! Also old school Pac-Man!

I was the first guest in, so I kind a got a walk around the place & its pretty cool plenty of games, seats and decent size bar. I sat down at the bar and was greeted shortly. I decided to try the cowboy Mac and I was not disappointed. It consist of Cajun Mac with fried jalapeños and nothing but the best Graziano's Italian sausage. I was very surprised with the flavor & the degree of spiciness in this. It was absolutely the most perfect blend and I will be back many times. More...

We ate here on a random Sunday afternoon during the NFL season and had a really good time.  The food was surprisingly good, it was mainly bar food but it was homemade.  The atmosphere was very upbeat and modern, plenty of games, plenty of TVs,  a huge bar, and a wide variety of seating options.  It seems like a Pittsburgh Steelers bar, so if you don't like the Steelers this might not be a good fit.  They have plenty of TVs however, and no one minded watching other games.  We had salads, a burger and gluten free pizza.  All of the dishes were great, and we were pleasantly surprised at the food quality and portions.  I liked the beer selection and the mixed drinks were on point.    The service from Cami was excellent, she had a fun personality and was really experienced.  Overall, Valley West Mall might be struggling, but this place is worth the trip.  We will for sure be back.
