If they approached me and asked how was my hogey sandwich, I would have said in my gordon Ramsay accent that, it was utterly tasteless and dreadful, i looked at the dough and it was charred  with little black soot, and the meatballs, fake and rubbery as it can get. I've reviewed panCoast before but I have to change my review. Let me start with saying, I'm not a big pizza fan. It's not my go-to food. The only time I want pizza is when I'm drunk. But panCoast? My relationship with panCoast is different. I want it! I crave it! I NEED IT!!!! The flavors are spot on! It's like I'm in Italy. We ordered the Marguerite with pepperoni last night after my son's water polo practice. We couldn't wait to eat it so we sat in the car and devoured it. Very simple yet very flavorful! Real mozzarella - it's not the shredded kind. The tomato sauce - fabulously zesty and not overly spiced.  The crust is perfect! Thin but not like a cracker. It's got perfect chew. For $10 you get a giant cheesesteak with tons of meat. They do not skimp you! Although the meat could be a bit more tender, it was still good. It also comes with sweet & spicy peppers which added a nice blend of flavors. My fave part is the melted cheese. Mmmmm cheese. I ate the whole thing in one sitting and it almost killed me (in terms of fullness), but it was so worth it. Next time I'll save the other half for later so I can enjoy it twice. Ordered online about half an hour before they opened and scheduled for delivery. The delivery time was scheduled for noon and the pizza arrived at my apartment a few minutes before the scheduled time! Wow I've never had a pizza arrive early! Fast and FREE delivery (within 5 mile radius).We got the Golden Gate pie and added salami, as well as a couple meatballs and garlic knots to try. The meatballs were supposed to be ricotta stuffed They didn't seem stuffed at all, maybe the ricotta is mixed into the meat mixture, but they had great flavor. I wish the garlic knots were more garlicy! But the dough was nice and soft. Mmm now the pizza was so good.. all of the ingredients tasted fresh and not greasy or heavy. I used to love this place but .. I don't know anymore. The last 9 out of 10 times (literally - I kept track) we asked for the pizza to be cut into 8 slices and it wasn't. The usual apology would ensue which would come down to waiting another 20 minutes for another pie or taking a few dollars off for the mistake. A mistake that keeps happening for some reason. Also, it and they don't clean the pizza oven enough during operating hours as the bottoms of the pizza keeps having burnt bits of flour/meal making the slices slightly acrid tasting.I used to love this place but making a special request seemingly never gets honored and not enough oven clearing leaves the pizza lackluster. I'm saddened by this but this is California. I'll never get my NYC-style pizza unless I go back home I guess. Oh well. It was good whole it lasted. More...

Crazy good New York style pizza with a proper thin crust! We got the E-squared, arugula salad, and garlic knots and they were all phenomenal. I could eat those garlic knots forever wow. Wit...or wit out....it don't matter....this place BRINGS IT!  East Coast food & East Coast atmosphere with a west coast flavor!  Went on back to back days a month ago...and have been meaning to do this for a bit.Son & I killed a Pizza and a pitcher of KILLER North Coast IPA beer the 1st night...and got the full "Philly" experience.  Great food, direct service....and a pizza chef with a beer and couple F bombs!  PHILLY BABY!  Found out the next night when we brought a group of 10 in for pizza, cheese steaks, garlic knots, hoagies, salads & more...that it was the owner there the night before bringing the full Philly experience.  Having been to Philly, we were thankful for that.May not always be the best organized at the point of order....and looks a bit chaotic in the kitchen at times....but that is part of the Philly ambiance.  What matters is GREAT FOOD & GREAT BEER.....and a family and team that care about providing something unique to our area. We were able to order pizza dough and yeast as well as a Delicious pie. During this crisis the staff was as friendly as ever and I didn' t mind having to wait a little extra time. Not like im goong anywhere.  They are very busy I recommend ordering early it's definitely worth it and hack buy some pizza dough and some sauce and make some pizza at home who knows you might have some fun. Since I work at Kaiser I would come here often, but never again! My last visit here the pizza we ordered had a glass-like looking piece inside our pizza! And luckily I didn't swallow it or who knows maybe your kids could've choked on it! Unsanitary, Disgusting and not safe at all! Ahhh, the simple pleasure of a New York style cheese pizza done right. PanCoast makes a perfect crust and the sauce is excellent. Well, as a first timers who were ready for a real good East Coast pizza, I guess it was our lucky day!  Happy Valentine's to us!  Had the Brooklyn pizza & hallelujah, it hit the mark!!!  Excellent crust & just the right amount of sauce (I know you know these 2 things are deal breakers),Service was attentive & informative.Music (which I don't think is ever reviewed in most establishments), was absolutely perfect.  Doobie Brothers, Little River Band, Steely Dan---oh come on folks...even the youngsters have to enjoy this!Will be back...thanks to the Philly team for taking good care of us!PS:  another mark of a good pizza is how good a leftover slice tastes the next day...terrific! Totally legit and fresh.  The kids are in heaven here, and I love that I can get an organic salad with wings.  The ranch is even homemade and fresh (like Zachary' s ranch).   Pizza is the closest to New York pizza that I've been able to find.  I've come a couple times since the remodel/expansion--it's been great for us.  It's going to become our regular pizza spot when craving the thin crust!! I avoided this place for years for thinking "high school pizza" because Los Lomas High School is right next to it.   But my best friend had me meet her there after work.   Omg...the BEST pizza place ever!    You can choose whatever you want, but their original pIzzas are AMAZING!    Today was the "White Cap" because my dad can't handle red sauce.    He's 80 and loved it and was a chef for years in our family Italian  restaurant.    Salads and sandwiches look yummy!    We had a birthday party there today and the service, food and cleanliness are all rated a 10! I have stopped by for a sluce and a beer about 5 times. Here is my experience:Slice:  okay sauce, inconsistent doneness on the crust, really light on toppings. Decent flavor. Not wow, just good Beer: they always have some great beer on tap.  A pint is $7.00, which is sort of the going rate. However, they serve it in a plastic cup. PLASTIC. Not a Glass, a plastic cup. That is a total deal breaker.Last straw: Ordered pizza to pick up. Pizza not on time so I had to wait and was again served beer in a plastic cup. Pizza came out with wrong toppings. Got it home, edges of crust overdone, middle underdone. There are a lot of places to buy pizza in town. And most of them will pour your $7.00 beer in a GLASS. More...

I also ordered the Sicilian pizza which was good! I thought it was a deep dish pizza (my bad) so it was a little doughier than I usually like.
