If there was a way to increase the amount of stars I can rate on, it would look similar to looking at the milky way galaxy on a summers night. .... To say the very least, our wedding day at Castle Manor Inn was by far the best day of our lives! The manor staff was always there for anything we needed during our planning process and most important on the big day. I have heard stories about how difficult certain things were in regards to weddings but we had such an easy/fun time creating our custom wedding. The wedding itself went flawlessly and I didnt even mention the food yet.....WOW!!!!!!!!!! The chef (Dan) at the manor could easily win any of those cooking shows you see on T.V...... the food on our wedding was INSANE (all custom... all exactly how we wanted). We not only had the best food on the big day but had an awesome Friday night leading to the wedding. If you are considering a wedding anywhere close to the Boston/Gloucester area, make it easy on yourself and book Castle Manor Inn ASAP!!!!! More...

Our microwedding in September 2021 was absolutely amazing. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. Laura and her staff were incredible. We had 18 people total, including bride, groom, and officiant. Gazebo ceremony with reception on the deck. We brought hair and makeup artists into the bridal suite and had plenty of space for getting ready. Everything was beautiful, food was outstanding, and cost was very reasonable. Laura was easily reachable throughout the planning process and she was present the entire day of the wedding. She genuinely cared about our wedding, made sure everything went smoothly, and saved the day when it came to bustling the dress. Our guests enjoyed spending the night after the wedding. Rooms were clean, charming, and cozy. Would highly recommend this venue! More...

Online it looked very cute and quaint. We were hoping to stay in what looked like a Victorian home. It's always risky when booking from out of town, but we gave it a shot. Little did I know that there is a Bates motel on the grounds of this cute Victorian looking home on the property, and that is where we were booked. When we walked in we were greeted by a swarm of mosquitos, spiderwebs and a dozen spiders or so, 2 grasshoppers, 3 silverfish, flies and random bugs. Quickly noticed what appeared to be blood stains in the door and bedding. The bathroom floor was moldy and the hair dryer was sporting a dirty bandaid. Hairs were all over the bathroom (clearly not ours) when we arrived, despite them having a COVID cleaning protocol. Needless to say we would never stay here again. More...

Our wedding at Castle Manor Inn was perfect and Laura was amazing. From the beginning, Laura's efficiency, experience and flexibility made her easy to work with. It's clear that she has been part of many weddings and she shared lots of tips with us throughout the planning process. She was super open and flexible and was willing to accommodate whatever we wanted. For example, I had mentioned wanting to do a late night snack after the reception and she immediately worked with us to come up with a Mac and Cheese bar concept (which was amazing and a godsend at the end of the night). Besides Laura. who made the entire process so much easier than expected, the venue was great. We did not want to spend an insane amount of money and this venue allowed us to have the wedding of our dreams at an affordable price. We had our rehearsal dinner, breakfast and reception all in one place. It was so easy since all of our groomsmen and bridesmaids were able to spend the night after the dinner. No need to worry about transportation or lodging since there were plenty of rooms available for all our guests. My guests all LOVED the food (which was also affordable!) and gave many compliments. We did our ceremony outside in front of the house - Laura had a trellis and chairs for us to use. The gazebo would have made a great spot as well and was our back up if it rained. I loved the tented deck which was spacious and protected the guests from sunlight/rain. All in all, the venue was perfect for us and what we were looking for. My husband and I plan to go back on our 1 year anniversary to celebrate! More...

Stayed in the Motel part of this place the weekend of the 4th for one night. The shower was terrible, there was a nasty musty smell in the room, the air conditioner Filter was filthy and the "change filter" light was on, found long hair in both beds, the walls and ceiling were paper thin and you could hear everything. The people 4 rooms over and above us had their 90 LB Husky barking, yelping and howling trying to jump over the balcony at 7AM (this went on for OVER an hour). The people right above us woke up at 7:15AM and it sounded like they were rearanging the room by banging things and dragging furniture back and forth for almost 2 hours. We addressed these issues at Checkout before we left, but not sure if it did any good. The front desk staff were very nice and seemed concerned, and were very leanient on checkout (Thank God because we got ZERO sleep after getting back late from the fireworks). It was in a peaceful, quiet, pretty location. BUT, for $200 a NIGHT, that wasn't in close Walking distance to much, we were expecting a better stay. More...
