What’s your interior design process?
Our Design Process
STEP 1
Research
Initial Phone Call. This is a 15-20 minute call for introductions and to schedule the Meet and Greet..
Meet and Greet. During this 60 minute in person or zoom call, I will go over who we are, our process, expectations, we will talk about the project, our fee structure and next steps. By the end of this call, we should have a decision to move forward.
Questionnaire. If we decide to move forward, you will receive our Lifestyle Questionnaire to complete.
Initial Visit. I will take a detailed look at the space, review your answers to the questionnaire, take photos and some initial measurements.
Contract Visit. During this visit, we will do the non fun stuff like reviewing the contract “Letter Of Agreement” (LOA) and the detailed statement of what the project entails “Scope of Work”(SOW) for your project, as well as collecting the initial payment.
Step 2
Development
Get Organized
Measurements. I will take detailed measurements of the space.
I will meet with your General Contractor and necessary Trades to go over the basic design and timeline. Review Meeting. We will have another touch-point meeting to go over the findings to date and talk about any change orders.
Budget. I will begin to put together a cost estimate and breakdown so you can see where you are spending your money. Even though the labor portion of the budget is between you and the general contractor, I will ensure they are communicating with you.
SSTEP 3
Design Source
Inspiration, I will put together a few inspirational photos for you to begin nailing down a design.
Mood Board and Space/Color Rendering. Once we have a design concept, I will get to work on creating a mood board with color, fabric, and style. This is when the fun and collaboration begins.
Revisions. We will tweak the mood board and rendering to get the feel you are looking for.
Sourcing (Shopping) begins. Once you are happy with the final mood board, I will begin to source actual items that bring the board to life.
STEP 4
Install and Style
Once all the construction are completed, this is when your vision starts to come to life and the fun begins.
All the major pieces start getting delivered and installed.
I style the space and get it ready to hand it back over to you.
