Went back for the queso! The spicy queso was delectable. Our first batch had a hair in it but our server was quick to take it back and get us another one. I got the southwest chicken - I asked for a chimi but got the burrito but it was still good. It's got flavor and I love the sweet corn scoop that comes with it. More...

Buffet Thursday features a fantastic taco bar that is not to be missed. The queso is worth the trip alone. I prefer the beef to the shredded chicken, but both are well seasoned and delicious. Staff is friendly and responsive.

We have been coming here since they opened in 2010 with the original owner, Jay.They have the best queso dip and I use it as a topping for almost everything I order. Casa Rio Queso is also my basis for comparison for all other queso dips anywhere else I go.Never get a bad meal here. Now that the place has changed owners, I was very worried that there would be drastic changes to the menu. I am happy to see that there were very few changes and all my favorite dishes taste exactly how they always have. The one thing that I would point to the new owner is the servers (who are obviously all new, not the same crowd that has been there with Jay) are a bit lacking in skills. Being I understand sometimes ownership changes and staff changes can create some growing/learning pains, I am more patient than others might be. So hopefully things get better in this area. I come for the food, really so as long as that doesn't change, I can flex in the service side of things. Also to note, my dad loves Tex-Mex and has lived in Dallas for 40 years. He knows Tex-Mex. He asks to hit up Casa Rio whenever he is here in MN. More...
