What a beautiful property! This charming estate is private and tucked away in a lovely neighborhood close to downtown. Everything was clean and well maintained. The gardens are stunning! The owner, Joe was very accommodating. When we needed to pivot the romantic getaway we had originally planned just for my husband and I to a family vacation Joe was able to assist us with changing rooms keeping our original dates. Pure paradise at Casa De Monte Vista! The minute you arrive be prepared to be in awe of the whole property. The entrance alone with the fountain and beautiful landscape makes you feel like you stepped into a fairytale dream! Joe is a top notch host, he is just thrilled to share his world with you. We stayed in Casita Vista, it was so cozy. The salt water pool is right outside your door, practically, with a spa attached. We were in the spa pretty late, very different from the typical hours of operation at a traditional hotel. We stayed here over v-day weekend and were more than 100% satisfied in all aspects. Joe, the host, was very knowledgeable and accommodating and the property was immaculately maintained. As an extremely private person, I appreciated how quaint and hidden each room and the compound itself was from the rest of the "world". If you're looking for a fun loud pool party to socialize and mingle, this is not for you, there are many hotels in Palm Springs you can go for that. Every casita had its own patios and sitting areas and even the pool area was respectfully quiet even though we were notified every casita was occupied. With its carefully maintained garden full of artful treasures and history, it was a perfect place to unwind, read a book, and enjoy a glass of wine.We will definitely be coming back to get away from a busy life in the city. Our first visit to Palm Springs couldn't have been more perfect! Exquisite gardens and the calming sound of fountains greeted us as we entered this historic paradise in the Old Las Palmas section of town. Joe is a stellar host, and made us feel right at home. The property is in a sweet spot - morning walks around the immaculate neighborhood, a short walk to lunch and dinner, afternoons by the pool and close up views of the mountains. We attended a wedding here  a few weeks ago. The place couldn't have been more inviting. The grounds are impeccably landscaped and studded with Hollywood nostalgia everywhere you looked. All 5 of the casitas are beautifully furnished with  incredible antique fixtures and paintings.The pool looked very inviting although we didnt take advantage of this part of this wonderful oasis but will definitely will next time. My family and I just checked out of the Casa after a three night stay.  This place is so wonderful- beautiful lush landscaping, peaceful atmosphere and an old Hollywood feel.  This might be the most romantic place we've ever stayed.  The pool is warm, all COVID protocols in place, and in the heart of the nicest part of Palm Springs.  Totally updated WiFi... and Joe is super responsive and accommodating.  Amazing.  We are for sure coming back! Casa de Monte Vista is a very special place. Joe has created a peaceful oasis and the moment you step inside the gates you can feel the magic. He's such a warm, friendly, accommodating guy and will do everything he can to make sure you feel at home. The care and attention put in to every detail of this place is apparent immediately. From the exquisite gardens buzzing with hummingbirds to the antique bell tower to the colorful citrus trees covered in fruit, there isn't a spot on this property that doesn't have a story to tell. The pool is divine on a hot day and stargazing on a clear night in the hot tub is wonderful. The beds are so comfortable and I loved the decor in my casita. We have been coming to Casa de Monte Vista for 8yrs. Joe, our host is amazing. He always makes sure that we have everything we need. He is friendly and accommodating. Our room is always extremely clean. Everything is in good working order. The grounds are well kept and gorgeous!!!  It is safe, quiet and private. The pool and hot tub are maintained and clean. My husband and I come every other year. We love coming here. It is not just a place to stay, but an experience. Worth every penny!!! More...

I called to get information about possibly having a reunion event here in May 2022 and was greeted by a pompous ass employee who proceeded to explain to me in a condescending tone that " this is a prestigious 1920s property  and I would have to give him an exact number of guests before he could give me a quote" The event is only in the planning stages so we wouldn't have an exact head count yet but the fact remains this business just lost what would have possibly been a  repeat business customer (Federal Government workers) that were just looking to have a reunion after loosing so many friends and coworkers in the last few years. Just had a fabulous tour of this nastalgic estate.  The owner gave us an private tour and the property and could not be more gracious.  The grounds of this Spanish estate are absolutely beautiful.  If you are looking for the perfect party venue for a wedding, private event , photo shoot, etc. this is the place!  Hands down.  I was very impressed with this historic property.  We are looking forward to booking this property for several events throughout the season. We recently stayed at Casa de Monte Vista and had an excellent time. It is a hidden oasis in Palm Springs. Beautiful and peaceful grounds with epic views of the local mountains. We stayed in Casita Antigua and the casita was cute and comfortable with a kitchen that had all we needed for our week stay. The heated pool and jacuzzi were glorious. The owner, Joe, is incredibly nice and helped make our stay comfortable and special. The place is ideally located a short drive or walk to the Main Street in Palm Springs. The neighborhood is also lovely to walk around. We truly had a wonderful stay and hope to get back there sometime soon! More...

I was organising a wedding at this venue, on behalf of a friend, but had to change plans near to the time due to the host's poor customer service and lack of desire to meet simple requests. The venue looks lovely, and would probably be perfect for a quiet meetup amongst friends, but for a wedding celebration, or anything else which generates even mild noise or complexity, this is unlikely a good choice of venue. Would give zero stars if possible. Everything about this place is difficult. It's as if they have a fetish for saying "no". Zero effort to provide any solutions on the day of our event. I booked my private wedding event with Joe at this venue. I was able to make this magical location a part of my history. Honestly I fell in love with this place years ago while searching online for a wedding venue. I read a lot of great posts and a few that made me question booking. I reached out to see if there was any availability and I got lucky, someone had cancelled and there was availability. Joe was also able to make excellent recommendations on vendors to help pull everything together. All and all I am very happy I decided on this unique botanical garden Spanish style property. All of the finishes are beautiful, all of the furniture and art pieces are amazing. It's hard to get a bad photo at this place with amazing back drops everywhere and not much decorating is required. It was amazing to rent out the property and and spend the night at this place. During the day everything is so beautiful and at night it is even more spectacular. It was beautiful to walk the property and enjoy the beauty and swim in the warm salt water pool and look at the stars shining down from the heavens. The property has a perfect sound system to play your favorite music and Joe also has a vendor recommendation for live music. My husband and I were searching for a spot to elope, and this gem popped up on our "best places to elope in Palm Springs" google search. We booked right away! Once we spoke with Joe, the owner, we knew this was exactly the getaway we were searching for. Joe was accommodating, kind, generous, and fun. With just a wedding party of 5, he opened his doors (and gorgeous casitas) to us with open arms. The property became our home for 4 days and Joe is now considered family. What luck to have discovered this beautiful gem located so close to Downtown Palm Springs! On a whim, we packed our overnight bags for an impromptu weekend trip to Palm Springs. We were so lucky to have found availability at Casa de Monte Vista. We loved the lush grounds and the serenity of the venue. So much so that I took a nap poolside!  We will definitely be planning a return trip.  We enjoyed our room, Casita Verde with access to a patio and beautiful lush grounds.  The saltwater pool is amazing!  Our room and the entire venue is decorated Spanish style and it includes interesting history and books throughout. This place is a life savor.  Originally our daughter and fiancé were to have their wedding at Two Bunch Palms (recommend reading the reviews of the bride and groom family members) who stayed there on May 29th through June 1st 2021 to understand what happened). Casa de Monte Vista within a very short period of time had setup chairs, had an arch for the couple to be under while taking their vows, had music playing, area totally secluded and the grounds are beautiful.  What an awesome place to have a wedding.  If you're planning to visit or intending to have a special event like a wedding, please check this place out.  You'll not be disappointed.  We love it!  Our daughter and now son-in-law are both intending to return to celebrate their first anniversary.  Casa de Monte Vista thank you so much for helping us in such short notice allowing us to hold our daughter's wedding there on May 30, 2021.  Thank you!!! Casa de Monte Vista was the perfect spot for our small 20 person wedding, and I can't thank Joe, our host, enough for making our wedding day beyond amazing and planning it so easy! When my husband and I saw Joe's beautiful property, we knew right away it would would work great for our needs- intimate, beautiful, and outdoors to suit a small wedding with social distancing protocols in place.  The grounds are gorgeous and well-kept, and our booking included a night's stay on the property, which was such a nice bonus!  We stayed at the Casa Antigua, which had the most luxurious bed and a patio that looked directly at the lovely pool.  Some of our wedding guests also stayed on-property and really enjoyed their stays- I only wish we had stayed there longer!Joe was such a gracious host to us and all of our guests, providing a magical setting for our wedding that was the perfect backdrop to the most gorgeous wedding photos.  All throughout the months leading up to the wedding Joe was always very communicative, organized and thorough, and was the kindest person to work with, always making sure our needs were met and everyone was happy.  I truly couldn't have been happier with our venue, stay, and overall wedding- it was better than I could have pictured it, and Joe and his staff worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect.  My husband and I have been talking about coming back to spend a weekend relaxing in one of the beautiful casitas, as our wedding was so blissful and just went by too fast. Our elopement ceremony at Two Bunch Palms was cancelled by the hotel hours before start time and in my full blown panic, Casa de Monte Vista came to the rescue! It ended up working out for the better because this property is gorgeous and the people were so kind and empathetic. I rarely write reviews, but this place is absolutely incredible from the jungle energy to the warm owner Joe. The property is gorgeous and includes  a saltwater pool with scenic plants, trees, flowers, hummingbirds, butterflies to create a magical experience. The room was so unique , host/owner Joe gave us an incredible tour with detailed information on all decor ,  he has made this hideaway into something out of a film , I felt like I was in Costa Rica ! I would 100000% recommend this getaway anyone who's looking for beautiful experience. I would have my wedding or even use this spot for a photoshoot !
