I got a very good facial here with Laura. She knows what she does. I left the session with a clean, glowing face, rested, and ready. You won't experience the usual redness that you usually get after regular facials. I got botanical facial and I can't recommend it enough. Amazing first experience with Mahir & staff! I'm from North East NJ, when I moved to S Jersey I was even still taking the 1& 1/2 hr drive just to get my hair done north. I have naturally curly hair, and it is a STRUGGLE to find someone who knows how to work with my texture. While away for work, and willing to take a risk, I read some of the reviews for Casa Aziz and gave it a try. I could not be more pleased! I was matched with Deb who is a Master Stylist and she was amazing! The Salon is the best in the area. Really great place in Princeton Downtown. Convenient location and parking garage just steps away. Great team of hair stylists. This review is so long due! I got a haircut with Mahir in the first week of September and I could not be happier with the result. This was my visit to Casa Aziz. The staff is so professional and warm. I am that kind of person who loves the cut right after the blow dry but then hates it after few hours but surprisingly that did not happen this time. I am still loving it and receiving compliments. Mahir is so professional, patient and warm. He spent a lot of time discussing what I wanted from the cut. He patiently looked through some pictures I had saved and showed me more from his own collection. I wanted to go with shorter hair but Mahir convinced me to keep it mid length (still on the shorter side). I am so glad I went with his recommendations! High end salon that caters to both men and women. Prices range based on stylist experience, but is quite expensive regardless. While not cheap, you get what you pay for and I have yet to have a bad experience there. The stylists appear to be “freelancers” and are not necessarily exclusive to Casa Aziz. Yulia is probably my favorite stylist I've ever had! She's been cutting and styling my hair for over a year and I wouldn't go to anyone else (although there are many talented people at Casa Aziz)! Yulia does the most *amazing* scalp massages during the shampoo. Holy smokes I would go just for that. She is always helpful in suggesting cuts based on my needs. (For reference, I have thick, curly hair which can be a challenge.) When I got married abroad, Yulia did a hair trial with me to figure out what I wanted. She was so thoughtful in her suggestions, I was really touched by how much effort she put into preparing before I even came in! On top of that, she's just so nice and fun! I enjoy sitting in her chair!! The whole salon is great, cool atmosphere with lots of natural light. They use wonderful products that don't make my hair feel weighted down. Casa Aziz is a gem! I came to the salon with very damaged hair that needed a color correction. Mahir my stylist, really did the best that could have been done :) . Intuitively, I feel like another salon would have made me go darker in shade to color correct but Mahir didn't take us back from the blonde hair goal! I'm so glad I gave this place a try! During my first visit, Mahir spent a lot of time understanding what I wanted and made some recommendations. Although I only went there for a cut, he convinced me into getting balayage. The last time I got it done at a different Princeton salon, they ruined my hair. I was so glad I allowed myself to get talked into it because Mahir did a fantastic job! He did not rush thru any of it even though it was well past their closing time. He is truly a master at his craft! I got a lot of compliments for the cut and color. So I went back again last week to get my hair cut, and was happy the 2nd time around too.I like the ambience of Casa Aziz. They're friendly. There's a choice of beverages and fruits. They're not double-booking themselves and rushing people out. Mahir washed my hair with such care and even did a cold water rinse to close out cuticles. I believe Casa Aziz is the best salon in the Princeton area. It's new location, situated right across from the emblematic Princeton Library, stands out for its modern sense of decor. As we enter the salon, we find a warm and welcoming staff that truly reflects the spirit of the town. I have cut my hair with Mahir Elkasri for more than five years and I've always returned and recommended Mahir because he respects my taste while adding his unique sense of style. Can I just say- Bruno I love you!!!This was my first visit to the salon and i was wary. Located in heart of Princeton, one may expect a bit snobbery but not at Casa Aziz! !! From get go everyone was smiling and so welcoming. I asked for Bruno after reading reviews on his balayage artistry skills. My hair has never achieved the neutral, natural and dimensional highlights and balayage that i sought but i was ready to try one last time before throwing in the towel and doing one dye box.  Bruno is so cute and sweet! He really listened and he really took his time!! He was so focused on precision and particularly with foil wrapping, placememt and amount of strands. I was overwhelmed with his perfection and relaxed all the same. Aziz the owner came by and he was so kind, warm and welcoming and remained so throughout out my 4 hour stay!! I found Casa Aziz through Yelp and I was so glad I did. I went for my appointment last month (September) and originally booked for another stylist for my appointment. The day of, i received a call that my stylist was running behind and my appointment had to be moved, which I couldn't do because I was getting a cut and style for a big event that same night.Well, everything happens for a reason. I got booked for an early appointment with a different stylist-Heba, and she did a wonderful job! She listened to what I wanted and I have always played it cautious with my hair; Heba would give recommendations of ways to change it up that wasn't too drastic. After the initial cut, she made a few more recommendations to help my hair frame my face better and I am so glad I listened to her. I loved my final look! I moved from NY to NJ and had no idea where to go but I'm so glad I came here! My stylist's name was Yulia and she was absolutely wonderful. I came it for a trim, to get layers and to style my hair for an engagement party. She did all three perfectly. She was also the person who washed my hair and her fingers felt like absolutely heaven on scalp when she was shampooing. I spent 5 years-SERIOUSLY!-pulling out gray hair and trying to come to terms with having to color my naturally red hair! I was terrified of having it appear fake. I finally made an appointment with Aziz. I couldn't breathe when I sat down. He put me at ease and spent so much time with me. I was not rushed. Positives: All the staff are very friendly, and my stylist (genuinely thought the color she is using will give us the results I asked for! She took time to really talk to me to find out what hair color I wanted! The staff went as far as running to my car to put more money in my meter because I thought my appointment would be done in 2.5 hours! And it actually lasted about 3.5 hours! I did not feel rushed during my appointment! And they offered me a corrective service free of charge (which I have an appointment for & will update review if needed)Negatives:I made an appointment at this salon for 12 pm for color, highlights and cut and I called them at 10:40am to let them know I'll be delayed and will be there at 12:15 (exactly) and the receptionist said that was ok! While en-route I received a call at 12:05 telling me that "10 minutes" was the maximum amount of time They would normally wait and that the stylist won't be able to finish my work due to my delay!!! I was a bit upset about not being told all this when I called at 10:40  because I was driving from a long distance (1.5 hour away).However, When I got there the staff and the stylist (Yulia) were welcoming and friendly and Yulia actually DID finish the work on my hair!I showed Yulia a picture with desired hair color and specifically said I don't like reddish brown and would like to avoid that) And the picture is the end result (which to me looks kind of reddish brown! But you judge for yourself).And the last part:They are kind of pricey! I'm used to paying as much for color and highlights but I paid $60 for just a little trim because I didn't want my hair to get much shorter than it already was! Would I go back? I think I'm going to decide after I have my hair color fixed!Update:So I went back, Yulia was able to fix the color by putting in new highlights and using a toner! I was very happy with the end results! I'd like to say this place has such friendly staff! Everyone is very kind and professional.
