I recently hired Mark and his team to cater my wedding and I could not say enough good things about them. He made some amazing food where everyone was happy. He made a special plate for my grandmother who can no longer have any dairy and his team was responsive and quick when it came to getting the food out. What I was not expecting was just how good the bartending would be. They offered refills to peoples wine and beer, they made amazing drinks and when the wedding was over I had many people tell me just how great they all did. Mark and team catered our wedding at Loloma Lodge. I can honestly say that the night would not have been nearly as wonderful without their incredible service. The staff was beyond wonderful and so attentive. Each of them seamed to genuinely want to be there and were eager to jump in and help. The food was even better then I remember during the tasting! If you want nothing but the best in quality, service, presentation, customer service and absolutely divine food, Carte Blanche is the place to call. My husband and I were married in July at Mt. Pisgah Arboretum and we were lucky enough to have Carte Blanche cater our wedding. It was through the arboretum that I heard about Carte Blanche several months before the wedding. From the first phone call with Mark, the owner, planning out the menu and all the various details, Mark was so professional, kind and intuitive, knowing just what would fit our taste and personality. During and after the wedding, I cannot count how many people came up to me and raved about the delicious meal, many telling me it was the best wedding food they had ever tasted. And of course, this review would not be complete without mentioning the fantastic catering team that made everything run so smoothly. Carte Blanche Caterers did an outstanding job in handling the entire event for my husband's Celebration of Life. I met with Mark once to discuss the overall concept and home location. He made recommendations and immediately took care of the food, jazz band, table, chairs, tent, table flower arrangements, AV, and shuttle bus. He brought in the best! Mark and his staff are AMAZING. From our first time meeting Mark, he had our minds at ease that he would make our wedding dinner better than we could ever imagine. ... Guess what, he did not disappoint! From out massive meat & cheese board, to our plated dinner and our late night snack hotdog bar; it was all simply perfect. Our venue originally came with another caterer, and quickly asked if we could switch to someone else. Carte Blanche was our next attempt and Mark and his staff immediately won us over. From our tasting, to all meetings and communications, to the day of the event-- everything was above our expectations. We received so many compliments about the food (we agree- it was delicious)!! We immediately loved working with Mark, and were equally won over by his staff for our wedding. They were so accommodating. For example, our timeline was thrown off quite a bit with the ceremony ending much earlier than expected, and cocktail hour started earlier than it was supposed to-- Mark and his staff handled it so well and made it all work. Guests didn't seem to realize the timeline was off! And when I was off taking photos, one of his staff members came over just to see if I wanted water or a drink. My wife and I used Carte Blanche as our caterer for our wedding. Mark (the owner) was very professional and very helpful! We were able to taste test everything to fully customize our menu BEFORE choosing them . The day of the wedding everyone continued to praise the food from the hour devours to the main course! One of the things my wife and I greatly appreciated was between the ceremony and reception, while the wedding party was taking pictures, Mark went out of his way to bring plates to my wife and I since we were unable to partake in the hour devours and our energy was tanking. The only recommendation is to have the online payment system be able to show the prior and ending balances as you pay so we wouldn't have had to bug Mark so much for receipts/updated invoices. Excellent service and food.
I called and asked Mark if it was possible to get something together for our short notice awards lunch. He was very helpful and assured me that it would not be a problem. He and his crew got together a lovely luncheon in less than a week. All of the comments after we were done eating were very positive. I did not have a single negative comment on the food, service or presentation. I would definitely recommend this caterer as your first call. Mark and crew catered my daughters Sweet 16 Masquerade Ball and I am so glad we chose Carte Blanche for this most special event. He knew exactly what appetizers would please the crowd and the mocktail bar options were over the moon awesome - not an easy task for a party ranging in age from 14 - 87! The servers were exceptional and several family and friends commented not only on how spectacular the food was but also the friendliness of the staff. I wouldn't have changed a single thing. Carte Blanche is accommodating whether you want to provide rented dishes or they will provide and same goes for you buying alcohol. I ordered 25 box lunches and they were wonderful. Fresh, tasty and the giant cookie was excellent.. They were well packed and we appreciasted that since we were traveling by bus and the box lunch was our noon meal and we needed to eat them on the bus as we were traveling. We've used Carte Blanche to cater some of our office events in the past and we've always been impressed with the food, service, and prices. So for our holiday party this year we decided to have a southwest buffet and appetizers. We were not disappointed. The food arrived right on time, the set up looked great, and the quality was amazing. The biggest hits were the bacon wrapped shrimp and the kahlua mousse.Mark was very easy to work with, even with our ever changing date he was most accommodating and made great recommondations if we weren't sure about something.I highly recommend Carte Blanche and won't hesitate to use them again.
