What do you love most about your job?
I love the satisfaction of helping a motivated client find a career and job they love, a career that fits who they naturally are. I became a career and executive coaching after a long career as a lawyer, government official, entrepreneur, consultant and musician. I believe that my experience in different careers helps me find the right career match for my clients. But nothing I have ever done is as rewarding as being a career coach.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The early years of my career were with large organizations, which taught me a lot and gives me perspective. But I had always wanted to start my own business. I finally did that after 20 years as a big-firm lawyer when I started a small online publishing company. I absolutely loved it and was hooked on being an entrepreneur. I ultimately sold that company to a large publishing company. Since then I have been a consultant and now a coach. I love being involved in all of the aspects of a small business, from product development to marketing and sales. And as a coach, I have the added benefit of helping people realize their dreams.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Since Covid-19 began, almost all coaching has moved online. And it turns out that online coaching is every bit as effective as person-to-person coaching. And it has the benefit of giving clients more options to choose from. I generally use Zoom calls, but am open to using Skype, Facetime, and the phone for those who prefer.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
As mentioned above, I do almost all of my coaching online. For those who live in the Washington, DC area I am open to meeting in person, but even most local clients prefer the convenience of online coaching.
