Mary Mazzeri is such a wealth of information about dog behavior and training. She seamlessly blends this knowledge with a gifted ability to teach so participants can train their dog successfully. Looking to have a dog that is a pleasant part of the family, she can definitely help! Want to train at a level that allows you to compete in the obedience ring, she can help you do that too. I am grateful I have been able to learn from her and take classes through Care Dog Training the last 20+ years. You can't go wrong training your beloved dog with Mary Mazzeri and Care Dog Training! We took both the puppy class and Home Basics. Â We coudn't be more pleased. Â Mary has been training dogs for so many years that she really knows the psychology behind your dog's thinking. Â Training your dog knowing what your dog is thinking makes the task a little easier. Â After the 2 classes, I have a very obedient dog who aims to please. Â The puppy class is in Carpentersville and the Home Basics class is taught in Crystal Lake. Â Her locations are not "closed" as Yelp is reporting. Â Also, the one Yelp review suggesting Mary is cruel to dogs could not be more wrong. Â In 12 weeks of classes, I never saw Mary being anything but kind to all the animals in class. More...

My family has been taking our dogs to Mary's training classes for literally decades. She is the most knowledgeable dog trainer in the area (probably the state! ). If you want a well behaved, trainable, and sociable puppy, I highly recommend her Puppy Kindergarten classes. More...

My wife and I just completed the Accelerate It Off Leash (May 2016) and Home Basics (July 2016) with our 4 year old dog Riley. We cannot be happier with the results of both classes. When we first started Riley was out of control! Â She didn't listen, pulled all the time on her leash & barked at everything. Â She also has aggression towards other dogs. We had tried numerous collars and methods but nothing worked. We didn't know what else to do. Â Mary's methods and years of experience have helped teach us how to communicate with our dog and live a happy life together. It really feels like we have a new dog! It was a lot of work, time and commitment. Â If you don't have time to give, these classes are not for you. Â We will continually be working with Riley for the rest of her life and every moment is an opportunity for training and growth. We just want to give Mary a huge thank you! More...

I have two dogs; a 7 yo Brittany and a 3 yo British Lab. We signed up our British Lab when she was 7 months old. We got her at 6 months old after our other lab passed away and a friend who breeds BL's offered us one of their family pups. While she was already trained and was a very lovable pup, she still had a few bad habits. Before we left her with Mary and went on our vacation, I gave her a big "wish list" of  new commands utilizing hand signals and voice commands. Mary had that list finished within the week and was working on other commands she thought we would find useful in our sporting dog. Each day we received updates via emails from our pups prospective along with pics or video's. Mary never said she would do this but it was a great touch that confirmed we left our girl with someone who genuinely cares about our family member. More...

If you're looking to coax your dog into doing what you want when your dog may or may not want to this is not the place. Coaxing, coddling and training for treats is not consistent and you can't rely on the results. Mary gets results. Mary is an expert in her field and has been for many many years. I've seen results and I've seen her expert handling. Mary trains you how to train your dog and also reminds you that YOU are master. There is no cruelty, NO beating the dogs into submission. Her methods get consistent reliable results and you get a well trained and well mannered dog. More...

You would be hard-pressed to find a dog trainer who is more committed to their craft. Dog behavior is more than just a job, it is Mary Mazzeri's passion and it shows as soon as you speak with her. I love the fact that she is open to all training methodologies and doesn't adopt a 'one-size-fits-all' approach that many other trainers do. She will work with you and your dog to find a system that works. I get many compliments on how well-behaved my dogs are and I will be bringing all future dogs to Mary for her expert tutelage. More...
