I cannot even begin to express how AMAZING and how above and beyond the Cardinal team went for my wedding. My husband and I got married at the Bear Creek Herbary and it's an untraditional type venue (garden center with beautiful greenhouse situation). Cardinal cooked our food outside in the fire pits which my guests thought was the coolest thing ever (okay, let's be real, I thought was the coolest thing ever). I'm a total foodie and our food for the wedding was my number 1 priority. Cardinal was absolutely everything I dreamed about. Both my and my husband's younger brothers are extremely allergic to nuts and my mom and a few other friends/family members are vegan. We chose a casual buffet style menu that was comprised mostly of vegan sides and different proteins. I wanted all my guests to be able to try everything. No one left hungry. Everyone raved about the food. I wish I had eaten more. I still dream about our wedding food. They also provided bartenders and created some delicious and beautiful whimsical flower based drinks (I'm a floral designer) with edible floral garnishes. I seriously cannot. The whole Cardinal team is cool, they kicked butt at my wedding even though it was 100 degrees out (and prob hotter in the greenhouse) and I'm totally grateful and want to do it all over. Easy to get to, a short walk from the boardwalk & right off of Cookman. I am so glad we finally stopped in here! My daughter absolutely LOVED the Chicken & Waffles, while I really appreciated the vegetarian options and enjoyed the Brekky Bowl. Oh, and do yourself a favor, don't skip the pastry, it was amazing! Cardinal is one of my favorite places in AP. A cozy, inviting interior; delicious, eclectic menu and a warm, friendly and very attentive staff help to create an always enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend It.

Their menu is very unique, and includes a couple of vegan items.
Aside from the food, which clearly people were ecstatic over, the ambiance is cozy and delightful. One of my favorite places.

Yesterday was my first visit to CP, a much talked about and family favorite. Rainy Sunday at the shore, got seated right away, pleasant server, all things good. Ordered the burger which came to the table sans chips or fries organic or otherwise. Burger was ok but had maybe one more topping than needed, kind of slid in the bun. Probably not enough to make me want to go back, although my companions pastrami and potatoes looked delicious. The food is above all; delicious... but also beautiful, fresh, sexy and clever. Prepare your palate for a joyful ride. The staff could not be more warm and welcoming - despite snow and crowds. Cardinal is a destination dining spot in an already well-fed neighborhood. Cant wait for dinner hours, but will be thankful for the extraordinary breakfasts and lunches for now. My wife and I had been meaning to eat at Cardinal for over a year but, for some reason or another, we didn't get there for brunch until just recently. From the mindblowing daily Benedict (Sweet corn & garlic scape biscuits with seared andouille sausage links, jalapeño hollandaise, and spring onions) to their incredibly delicious Chicken and Waffles, everything was absolutely amazing! Had breakfast here for the first time today and I have to say we were so incredibly impressed! The service was on point; it was rainy and busy but didn't take long to get seated. The staff was very friendly & our waitress was so sweet � not sure what her name was but she had short hair and was such a beautiful person with such a positive vibe and took such great care of us- The food was so creative with flavors and cooked perfectly!! My fiancé had chicken and waffles and they were soooo good, the best either of us have ever tasted! I had the rye waffles and LOVVEEED them & we shared a side of sage sausage and that was bomb as well!! We are so excited to come back and try other items on the menu. I am a frequent diner at this fabulous little restaurant in Asbury Park, usually on a Sunday, which is most likely one of the most popular days for Brunch. The staff is always warm and welcoming, they often have samples of their incredibly fabulous baked goods to Nosh on while you await your table.
