Capuchin Soup Kitchen

We volunteered here through our work.. these people are awesome.. they are growing certified organic food and sending that to their soup kitchen, which will feed the people in need everyday for free. .For volunteering this is one of the good place, we cleaned weed across asparagus fields and prepared a bed for seeding... planted squash seeds and all.. very good pls consider to volunteer here and be a part to help people in need More...

I have a volunteered my time here several times through my work, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. It is less than 2 miles from the center of downtown Detroit and provides free hot meals for those in need. The food is nutritious, tasty and free. This place has been here since 1929 serving the needs of Detroit. The order that founded the soup kitchen was inspired by St Francis of Assisi and the gentle spirit lives on today. More...
