Cameron did our taxes this year and he was amazing! He found ways to save us so much money. We still got a great return even though we didn’t have health insurance for more than half the year. I worried about that for a long time last year but when taxes time came, we actually got more of a return than we did the year before because of what Cameron did for us. We used to go to H&R Block but they were so overpriced. Cameron has great rates and he’s great person too. All we had to do was give him all our tax documents and he did the rest. Taxes this year were easier than ever! More...

Incredibly accurate and friendly. He was able to go above and beyond my expectations and still completed it in rapid time. I am recommending him to any of my buddies and coworkers. I work as a contractor and sometimes travel for work. Cameron was able to assist with multiple state returns, as well as, Guam, Puerto Rico, and Afghanistan. Super attentive and very affordable pricing. Would recommend 100% and plan to use his services for the foreseeable future. Thanks Cameron! More...

We went to Cameron Lewis for our 2018 tax preparation and submission. He not only did our taxes in record time and had them submitted for us, but we expected to have to pay this year and were greatly pleased that he was able to find a large return for us. We will use his services in the future. More...

I think it's important to get a great accountant so that your books don't get messed up and you have an accurate financial picture of your business at all times. I've done book cleanup for some businesses who'd had a bookkeeper doing it. Among the common problems I've seen are unreconciled bank and credit card accounts, which led to inflated sales, duplicate transfers between checking and savings accounts, duplicated payroll transactions, etc. Quickbooks is a powerful software and does a great job simplifying, but there are some areas that get messed up fairly often. They include transfers, matching, using undeposited funds, not understanding how to account for cost of goods sold and inventory, and either not performing bank reconciliations or not clearing out leftover duplicates. These things are important because if the books get messed up, the client can pay too much tax, and not really know how their business is doing.

It's important to have someone who follows best practices, is disciplined, and smart about checks and balances, so they can keep your books accurate every month.

I enjoy turning out high-quality work for my clients. I feel good when my clients are happy. I like hearing about their successes and accomplishments, and I like hearing their relief when I've solved a problem or concern they brought to me.

After 7+ years working as an employee, my wife and I decided move our family of 4 to a smaller developing community that didn't have access to as many of the higher-level accounting jobs. I searched for several months to find a good job with a sufficient pay level and couldn't find any. So I decided to advertise my services as a freelancer and keep looking. I enjoyed working with my clients so much that I decided to stop looking for a job and focus on my business. As a result I've been able to serve many clients and build great friendships. I've found a lot more fulfillment in this than I ever had working as an employee.

I'm smart. I'm a CPA, so I know my stuff. I have to stay current every year by completing tests to keep my license active.
I know how to fix mistakes in your books. I've had a few people who had a bookkeeper come to me with a lot of mistakes in their books, some were huge mistakes. Fortunately I know how to fix all of that and can get your books cleaned up and back on track.
I'm great with deadlines and accuracy. Working in the corporate world and for Fortune 500 companies has trained me well in this area.
I'm friendly, very responsive, and easy to talk to. I've received that compliment from quite a few people, which leads me to believe other accountants must be kind of hard to get a hold of.
I can go beyond accounting to business analysis. I can pull industry average numbers for P&L and Balance Sheet. I can look at your numbers to help you get some additional coaching from the numbers perspective.
Since I do taxes, I can also help you plan and design your bookkeeping to be ready for tax season, and help you in your tax-saving strategy.
