Recently, a friend suggested Cameo Cakery and Cafe as a spot to meet up for lunch for us to catch up.The outdoor area was really cute, but we decided to eat inside since it was a little chilly out. It was a Saturday, so a bit busy inside so we grab a couple seats at the bar.The bartender was really nice and attentive, even though she was very busy! She always checked in with us and made sure we were taken care of. Even the staff picking up drinks at the bar were friendly.Being a cafe, the menu is not huge, but it had a lot of variety. Since I was craving breakfast food, I ordered the Spinach & Feta filled croissant. It was so delicious that I ended up getting another! My friend ordered the Gargantuan Pretzel, and that was really delicious too, especially with the Falcon Smash Beer cheese!We also got a few drinks in - I got my typical Bloody Mary, and this one did not disappoint! Not every place has a good Bloody but this one does! My friend started with the Irish Coffee and ended with the Hibiscus Mimosa which was beautiful. We also decided to get to freshly made Boston Cream Pie cupcakes, which were also tasty - just a little bit too sweet for my tastebuds.Definitely want to come back here again! More...

These are hands down the best cupcakes I've ever had! Christina is very nice, down to earth and personable. I celebrated my birthday here with beer and wine flights. Amazing addition to Richmond! This is a very classy establishment with wonderful coffee, cocktails, and sweet treats. The cupcakes are incredible and the drinks are made to perfection! I love the assortment of sugar free syrups for the coffee!! The owner and staff are great at greeting customers with smiles and generosity. My mom and I have been almost once a week for our weekend cheat day! We ordered cupcakes for Christmas. This is a special small business that we now love to support often. 5 stars for sure!! More...

Stopped by Cameo Cakery and Cafe for dessert and coffee. I've been wanting to try out this cafe for a while. What a great place! ! First of all, they have a wheelchair elevator in the front. As a wheelchair user, it was nice to see an accessible entrance in the front and not in the back alley next to the garbage. The gingerbread and snickerdoodle cupcakes were just right for the season! This is such a cute cafe! I went back recently to grab lunch on an unseasonably warm day. I thought this patio would be the perfect reprieve and I was right. I also got to walk inside of the restaurant for the first time and it is even cuter than I thought. The decor is so cozy and romantic. There is a wonderful bar setup and the cupcakes are displayed fabulously. This would be the perfect location for a baby or bridal shower! I ordered the almond cupcake with the shrimp and lobster savory cake. I wasn't sure about what to expect with the savory cake, but wow!! It's like a crustless quiche. Great little spot, so cute. Enough parking in back/behind the cafe. Delicious drinks with milk alternatives - almond or oat and sugar free options . Cinnamon roll so light and flaky, croissant like, not thick and dense, not too much cinnamon, perfect to me. Frosty nog, not too sweet or eggy . Quaint, cozy and festive spot. Great outdoor area with heaters and hand sanitizer. Indoors had a few tables and bar seating. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Everything we had was delicious freshest pastries! We went for brunch and can't wait to check them out for an evening drink (wine, beer, and flights). Will def be back. This is the cutest little cafe! I happened to be in the area on my husband's birthday, so before heading home, I picked up some cupcakes and browed the menu. Although I wasn't getting lunch, I loved the sound of so many of their items on the lunch menu. I can't wait to go back and try all of them! The cupcakes were really good! I ordered vanilla with chocolate icing (my favorite combo) and they were extremely moist and flavorful. The actual cake was a little bit on the lighter side, nice and fluffy. We found this adorable cafe last night and had the most wonderful time. The owners were so friendly and gracious...we felt like friends when we left. They have such a variety of offerings: wine, beer, delicious egg nog, bakery items, mouth-watering savory pies (that are keto!!), and much more! I highly recommend this restaurant as a "relief" from a hectic day, to rest your "silhouette" and "broach" your favorite topics of conversation while sharing a superb dining experience!  Incredible edibles! I will definitely be making several cameo appearances at this ultra cool restaurant in the Libbie & Grove area! If you are out and about "on the avenues", be sure to make this new eatery your lunch spot or any time of day!! The brick patio is fully decked out with outdoor seating, bright turquoise chairs and stools, warm lights, wood beams, and atmosphere to spare! What a great place to have a meal and absorb the vitality of this cozy neighborhood! Let the people watching commence! Inside is just as inviting with vintage tin ceiling, and several sleek tables and booths. The restroom is on my top 10 aesthetically beautiful bathrooms in RVA! The sparkly peacock wallpaper is everything! It's clean, bright, and peachy! The only thing missing is a hook or shelf for one's handbag.  It so pretty in there, You may not want to leave! I almost think they should extend that theme throughout the main room!I've been here a couple times already and it's quickly becoming one of my favs! My daughter and I came one day and we were greeted by the most welcoming friendly gentlemen! He told us a little about the place and piqued our interest while showing us the menu! Although we had already had lunch, it had been awhile so we were up for a snack! He suggested the Gargantuan Pretzel and let me just say, it was way more than a morsel! The pretzel which was served with a creamy beer cheese was bigger than my head! It was warm and delicious, and between the two of us, we couldn't finish it!  Before we left, I was lured over to the bakery case.  The cupcakes looked fabulous so I ordered a half dozen cupcakes! Now I know cupcake shops are the new thing, with stores popping up on every corner, but THESE cupcakes, my friends, are a notch above all the rest! I chose pumpkin spice, red velvet, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and a salted caramel.  They were divinely decorated and even more heavenly tasting! Even the box is exquisitely presented, love the logo sticker! If you are ever going to a gathering and bringing dessert, these are sure to be a hit and make a favorable impression! (By the way, the owner also greeted us, even put her work aside and chatted a bit. Very personable!)So the following week I invited my friend here for lunch! It was slammed and only a couple people on the wait staff, but she was doing an awesome job juggling her tables. We ordered, yep, you guessed it, another pretzel to nosh on while our main entrée was being prepared.  Although we were tempted by the charcuterie offerings, (which will be ordered on another visit), we chose the filled croissants. My ham, egg and cheese croissant was buttery, flaky, and delish! My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our outing, and of course I had to order a few more cupcakes to go! I went there for coffee with a friend last week. How sweet is this spot! My friend got the savory ham and asparagus cake and I got the ham and Swiss croissant. Â Everything was so delicious and the place is so inviting. I am having my small group meet there next week. Kudos and best of luck to the owner. You will have a very successful business, I predict. What a fantastic spot for brunch!!!! I met a couple of friends for a beautiful Sunday afternoon on the patio and I must say that our first visit will most certainly not be our last! I was excited to see lots of keto, gluten free and healthy options in addition to some fabulous cupcakes and other goodies. We had the giant pretzel with beer cheese, the bacon and tomato savory cake, the chicken and asparagus savory cake, and a fabulous ham and cheese croissant. I was so full from lunch that I brought home a lemon lovers cupcake that was to die for! Super excited to have a new outdoor dining option just around the corner from home. So much more than just cake! I just had the best service experience at the new Cameo Cakery and Cafe. I originally just went for coffee and to get some work done, but ended up trying one of their delicious savory cakes (bacon and tomato) and the cinnamon roll as well. They have a great outside seating area that is dog-friendly and the decor inside is very cute and cozy. Our server was very friendly and attentive. My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Cameo last night and it was deliteful. Â This restaurant offers a fun outdoor area with ample outdoor seating, but we enjoyed the indoor romantic vibe for our date night. Our server, Cherie (I am sure I spelled that wrong) was attentive, lots of fun, and provided top notch service. Â We started with pimento cheese and pork rinds. Â I would highly recommend them, Â and they are large enough for a group to share. Â We then split the Crab and Shrimp Savory Cake. Â If you are a crab cake fan, this is for you. Â It was delicious. Â My wife had the pumpkin spice cupcake and I had the chocolate heath. Â One bite and you remember why you are there...the perfect cupcake. We just enjoyed the most delicious and beautiful cake (yellow cake with fresh strawberries and buttercream icing) from Cameo Cakery. They're still working to get their storefront open but the owner, Christina, is baking cakes for pickup. Â Christina was extremely accommodating and easy to communicate with. She was able to fulfill every detail we requested. The cake itself was light and tasty without being overly sweet. I don't usually feel up for a second slice but I did with this one. I ordered a cake for my granddaughter's birthday and it was PERFECT! The chocolate was delicious and the hummingbird cake was to die for! The icing was smooth and absolutely amazing; not too sweet!
