I hired CEC to paint my house. I am pleased with the results. The project took about two weeks. Before they could start painting, they needed to make some repairs to an existing patio cover. They also fixed some stucco and facia problems. The crew worked hard and always addressed any concerns I had throughout the project. I also like that CEC has a 100 year warranty. I had windows installed 5 years ago. I recently had a problem with the hardware with one of them. They came out and repaired it. They stood by their warranty and I am a very happy customer. In addition to the windows, I also had the house painted and that still looks great. The insulation we had put in has made the house warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. The company exceeded my expectations, the Sales department is extremely knowledgeable about windows the benefits and the savings that I would receive.  I was very surprised  and impressed when one of the owners, Steve,came out to check the work personally post installation . AMAZING work and warranty on the windows. Plus doing a STELLER job despite having to basically take all day to remove a sliding door that was put in by the builder of our house and the original slider was done WRONG. You guys fixed it, improved the frame for the slider and also fixed the issue with the tile that butts up against it.

The finished product after twice the estimated time for completion is beautiful. So I adjusted my rating to 4 stars. Except for my dead grass where they used gasoline to clean their paint brushes and my driveway. House looks great More...

Amazing customer service from Henry!  I cannot be happier with the outcome and Thank You for fixing our window.Our tenant decided to mount an AC unit on our window without prior consent. After they moved out, we were pretty stressed doing multiple repairs to the house.  We noticed our window lock and latches were totally missing from our window which caused it to not shut properly. After several trips to Home Depot who told us they did not carry the missing pieces, we dug through our stack of paperwork given to us by the prior homeowner and luckily found California Energy Contractors business card in there stapled with all the installed windows paperwork. We gave them a call right away and spoke with Henry who was able to come out quickly to fix our window.  They were so helpful! A different company told us that we likely had to replace the whole window!  I'm so glad California Energy Contractors and Henry was so helpful and cared about their clients and work.  They are definitely going on the top of our vendors list for any future window repairs or window installation needs.  So glad the prior owners picked such nice windows for the house and chose California Energy Contractors to install them.  Thank you! I have had a past experience with this company and thought I would like to say things have been resolved. Alex called me to rectify our situation, he was very courteous and said he would call the next day to arrange an appointment to solve our issue. Alex and Henry came out the next day after calling first and they arrived promptly when they said they would. The test they did on our windows was extensive and I appreciate their effort very much. We contracted with CEC for new windows and Tex-Cote in 1997. They have been reliable and followed-up when we had questions, concerns or warranty issues. We live close to the ocean and recently the moisture in the air eroded the trim on 1/2 our windows. They replaced the trim under warranty and provided a fair price for the labor. Their technicians go out of their way to clean up after themselves. I always make sure our financial agreement for repairs or warranty work is in writing. We stopped by their booth and asked to be contacted regarding an energy efficient roof. Within 24 hours someone called us to make an appointment to stop by. Yes, an energy efficient roof is more expensive than a non-energy efficient one, but there are special loan companies that work with companies who offer ways to make your home energy efficient. This company wants your business and it helped us get the roof we wanted. The came out within a week, wherein time, and did a great clean up job. They even let our dogs back into the backyard for us, when they were finished. The roof is awesome, they out in a fan over the garage, and it is the best roof in the neighborhood. excellent price when compared to other people who have the same floorplan as mine in my complex, about 500-1K cheaper. They did take a little longer to build the windows (about 3 weeks) but they let me know ahead of time. Working in the auto repair and mfg business I know what it is to get behind so no biggie. When the guys came out they were very courteous and did an EXCELLENT job of install, especially since my patio window was literally falling apart. We had our home text coated in 2006 and were guaranteed it to last for life. I had some paint peel on the bottom of the house so I called to see if it could be repainted and about the lifetime contract. To my delight, two men came and checked it out and later returned to fix it. One of the men reminded me that the next Texco would be brighter, but much to my surprise, after ten years, one can hardly tell the difference. That means the original was such good quality that it barely faded. I'm very pleased with the text coating and them standing behind the lifetime guarantee. 4 yrs ago my parents replaced their windows with California energy contractors. A year ago My husband & I moved out of my parents house into our own house & because of our experience of how helpful double Payne windows are at my parents house we decided to replace our windows also. I saw the care the installers took to install the windows & I was very impressed!!! The windows reduced noise thus glare has great security which is a plus they're easy to clean and dnt require much maintenance!! About a month ago, I got a call from a telemarketer from the company. Although no one really likes to get these types of calls, the lady I spoke to was a pleasure to talk to. We were interested for a while in replacing our old ugly windows. Their salesman came out, showed us their product line, and made his recommendations. When he gave us the quote, it was more than reasonable. We were in the market shopping for a while, so we knew that the the quality for the price we were getting was an excellent value.We heard nightmare stories with other companies when the company comes out to install windows. We moved to our house over ten years ago. The original owner of the house had done very little work in the thirty years she lived here. So when we moved in one of the first projects we had to do was to install new windows. We reached out to California Energy on a recommendation from a friend and we received excellent service from the first phone call to the office, to the salesman who came out to measure our windows and give us a quote and at the end the windows were installed in a timely and professional manner. We are so happy with the windows that even today the windows make our home look so much nicer. Over the years our kids have broken, ripped and damaged some of the nets or frames (with various balls and sticks) and every time we call we receive the same unbelievable service. They come out within a day or two and replace these things with the same incredible service we received when we first installed the windows. We could not be happier and would highly recommend their services to everyone. We have never had an issues with these windows and even so many years later they work and look like new. 13 years ago we moved into our house, a post ww2 house with it's original windows. It took us 3 years to decide to replace all 14 windows and 3 doors, one of which is a huge bay window. Someone left a flyer on my porch so we decided to give them a try. We met with Steve. He was polite, professional and informative. I did a great deal of research on the particular windows  (Atrium at the time) and decided to go forward with them , and i have not had a moment of regret. In the 10 years I have had 2 problems. The first one was when i accidentally tried to shut the window (forcefully) while the safety latch was out (oops) and the second issue is that my dogs keep putting their heads through the screen in the front window. Every time that happens i simply remove the screen and take it to them and pick it up a few days later. no questions asked.  About 6 months ago we were shopping for a house painter and came across California Energy again. They now do Tex Cote. We called and set up an appointment, got a quote and while yes it is much pricier than straight painting we decided that it was the way to go. A few days later the workers were out patching up the 50 years of stucco and within about 3 days my house was done. I couldn't be happier. I get so many compliments on my house and have referred many many friends to California Energy, all of which have been equally happy with their experiences. I am shocked to see such reviews, as my experience and those of my friends have been vastly different. I am reminded that typically good experiences do not garner a reaction. People rarely take the time to put pen to paper when they're happy. That said, I would not hesitaite to refer them, and urge anyone considering such an investment to at least give them a try.
