I was lucky enough to catch one of the pop up shops, and my daughter and I wanted to try every cake and cookie on display. We finally settled on four items- two cookies and two cakes - even though I started out saying we’d only get one thing each. The flavors were so on point though- plus everything was soft and moist. From the moment I opened the box, I knew I was in for a treat. The red velvet cookies and cupcakes from Cakes By the Pound and More are simply out of this world. We went to a meeting and this company provided the desserts and they were so decadent and really moist. The owner was very nice as well I highly recommend using them for your next dessert bar.

The first thing I look for in a business is professionalism. They were TOP NOTCH. Now as far as the cake was concerned, the best word I can come up with SCRUMPTIOUS. I would not even consider ordering from another bakery! Some bakers can do pretty, but the cake isn't good. Some can do good cakes, but they aren't visually appealing. With Cakes by the Pound I got the best of both worlds. I highly recommend them. More...
