Cakes by Judy

The double layered 8" round lemon cake with raspberry filling and butter cream w cream frosting was absolutely delicious. Judy was a dream to work with . We conducted our negotiations comfortably and entirely over the phone and via email. My friend's 60th birthday cake was a hit!  Everyone loved it! Two of the girlfriends are extremely picky eaters- basically no nuts, chocolate, marshmallows, pineapple, coconut, bananas... This cake was moist and a tiny bit dense which gave it a perfect chew. The frosting was so good that the picky friends cleaned the serving knife completely. AND Judy nailed the beach theme decoration. The crumb sand, with a couple of starfish and sea glass blue waves were delightful. Judy kindly delivered the cake to the restaurant- and though it was just a SLO to Pismo Beach delivery, saved me a good half hour or more of time! I highly recommend Cakes By Judy! More...

Judy made the cake and cupcakes for my wedding, during the pandemic and she did such an amazing job! Her cakes are so delicious and looked so beautiful (and this is coming from my husband and myself who are not huge dessert fans). Additionally, she is so kind and willing to go out of her way for her clients. She invited us into her home for a tasting and allowed us to borrow cake stands free of cost for our wedding day which made our dessert table look so stunning. Judy's cakes are absolutely the best! We have tried German chocolate, carrot, red velvet, and more that I cannot remember right now, and they have all been exceptional. Besides baking the most delicious cakes in town, Judy is also a joy to work with. She is kind, prompt, and charges way too little (seriously, she should charge more!). I look forward to every birthday celebration, and I do not miss struggling to bake cakes for the family anymore. Can't wait to order again! More...

Judy made cupcakes and a cutting cake for our recent wedding and we couldn't be happier with them! They were beautiful and delicious, our guests were seriously raving about them. My husband's five-year-old cousin said, "I didn't like them, I loved them" and other guests said they were the best cupcakes they had ever had. The lemon cupcakes were a huge hit, as was the chocolate cupcakes with mocha frosting. So, so yummy. And seriously thee best prices, it's unbelievable that she charges such affordable prices for something so amazing! Judy was such a sweet woman and we knew immediately after tasting the cupcakes that we would hire her for the wedding. She was so nice during our tasting and gave us each seven full cupcakes to taste and even provided saran wrap so we could take home anything we didn't finish.
