Miss Athena LOVES this place! She jumps out of the car before I even can get out when we arrive!! They treat her with so much care and love as well as the other dogs. They provide pools for hot days which is Athena’s favorite. They also provide a report card when you go pick them up and it’s the cutest! My review is ONLY for the dog park facilities, I have never used the groomer or boarding facilities. We have been members here since we moved to the area in February. It's walking distance from our home, and very convenient since we have an active German Shepherd husky mix. The card access system is convenient and the hours have been good so far. It's nice that temperament is tested to ensure a positive experience for all dogs. It's normal for some dogs to play rough, so it's important to know that your dog may get in a few tussles and it's not because the other dog is aggressive or mean, that's just how they socialize and play. The grounds are always well kept and never over crowded. Staff seems to be good about restricting people if their dog (or the person) seems to be problematic, which is convenient. They have monthly payment plans or you can get a discounted rate if you pay for several months in advance. There's a nice refreshing pool for them to cool off in. I've met some wonderful people here who are very kind and welcoming dog owners. We really use the entirety of the dog park from the free poop bags to the small hiking trail. I can’t say enough great things about Cahaba Beach Dog Park! I’ve been taking my pup Jack for months now to both the park and daycare! The staff goes above and beyond to be friendly and welcoming, and my boy literally RUNS to the door from the car because he loves it so much! He plays so hard with his friends he spends the rest of the night just like this They care about each pet like they belong to them and I know he is in the best hands whenever he is there! 10/10 would recommend! 5 stars for the daycare!! I am so impressed with the staff. I recently started bringing my Aussie, Sadie, here about 4 months ago and wow! Sadie use to be terrified of everyone. People scared her, especially strangers. While she is still a little timid, she is actually approaching people and allowing them to pet her! I believe the staff here at Cahaba Beach have played a huge role in building her confidence. She absolutely loves going to daycare and whines as soon as we pull in the parking lot! Cahaba Beach Dog Park seems to be top notch. I have used both the doggie day care and the private dog park. The dog park is not free, but it is worth paying for because it has something for every dog: plenty of room, places for people to sit, a hiking trail, agility equipment, and even a pool (for the dogs). We just boarded our two greyhounds, Jerri and Jill, while on vacation. We chose the suite that had a webcam. I loved being able to log on and see them! They were well taken care of. I used to live in Birmingham and brought my dog, Oreo, to Cahaba Beach Dog Park for boarding and to play at the dog park. The dog park is the best I have ever seen, and I was always at peace knowing Oreo is boarding with them . I moved to Miami a few years ago but I had to evacuate this past week because of hurricane Irma. The staff was extremely accommodating and make sure that Oreo was happy and calm after a long and stressful journey. And she was nice and tired for the car ride home after getting to play with the other dogs! I miss Cahaba Beach Dog Park and I haven't found anywhere nearly as good since I moved. More...

I cannot praise this organization enough! Cahaba Beach Dog Park is one of the most superior businesses with which I have had the pleasure of working. My husband and I were planning a road trip, moving from Alaska to Virginia and had lined up a sitter in Virginia to watch our dog for 5 weeks. Unfortunately were suddenly left in a bind when our sitter fell through at the last minute. We had planned to fly our dog to Virginia and then travel to northern Alabama to see family on our journey back through the states, so we began looking for boarders in the Birmingham area. Our dog, Toby, is our only child and of course, we were nervous about leaving him just anywhere. We needed a boarding facility in our price range, and with a 5 week availability, that would give us peace of mind. Corin was our first point of contact and she was helpful in checking for availability, explaining policies and assuring us that Toby would be in good hands. They took multiple calls from me and always answered questions patiently and thoroughly. When I told another staff member that our guy (a rescue) had displayed some food aggression in the past, she told me not to worry and assured me that the owner, also a trainer, could handle the situation if it were to arise. When we arrived to pick him up, he was freshly bathed and happy. The staff had rounded up his multiple comfort items and had him ready to go. At check out, Tiffany generously adjusted our rate to reflect the cost of the more basic room, and gave us the military discount, which greatly reduced the price of our bill. Furthermore, I noticed as we drove away, they did not charge for the hotspot care they provided. I cannot thank these folks enough for the peace of mind they provided. Their professionality and top-notch service cannot be beat. We will most definitely be repeat customers! More...

The wonderful staff there was understanding and explained that they would work with us on the pricing. Relieved, we left Toby in their capable hands.At one point during our journey, a staff member called to inform us that Toby had developed some type of irritation on his backside. She gave our options; we could either let them shave his behind and figure out the issue, or they would happily transport him to a veterinarian. At this point, we had faith in the employees there and asked them to take care of it. They called us an hour or so later informing us that it was merely a hotspot and explaining how they would treat it. They said they would call back if any other issues arose. Within a few days, we noticed through their fantastic video system, that they had removed his elizabethan collar, and that he was no longer chewing on his rump. I would like to say THANK YOU! This evening on the web cam I noticed my sweet pup got sick. I called and left a voicemail knowing Cahaba Beach may not be able to help until the morning due to late hours of me noticing but a little later I received a sweet voicemail from Stacey saying they were going to check on my girl! Not only did that make me feel better, she sent me pictures and videos of her seeming fine and reassured me they would keep good eye on her and keep me posted. THIS WAS AFTER HOURS THEY DID THIS FOR ME and DURING THE SNOW/ICE STORM! I'm so thankful for this update and them doing everything they can to check on her! Super....super friendly staff. Excellent dog park that is very spacious & clean. There is a hiking trail that's great exercise for you & your dog. This location makes sure that ALL dogs are up to date with their vaccines. Our English Bulldog had an excellent time interacting with the other dogs that were in the park. Do not believe the negative reviews. Most likely they are from people who could not take their dog to the park for one reason or another. The temperament test is facilitated as for the protection of the dogs that attend the park as well as for liability reasons. My dog goes there almost every day and he loves it. The staff is very friendly and you can tell they genuinely enjoy the dogs who stay there. We live in Homewood and I go out of my way to take Harry there. He loves it! More...

BEST dog park/facility ever!!!! The staff is beyond amazing!!! The boarding services are wonderful too! My dog LOVES this place; he drags me straight to the car every time we go outside because he wants to go sooo bad!!!! We feel so comfortable leaving our dog boarded here when we leave on a trip. The staff is do friendly and their love and care for dogs is so apparent. They have remembered me and my dog from the second time we met them. There may be places that charge a little less for boarding but in my opinion this place is worth every penny!!! For the care and treatment my dog gets plus all the bonuses (all day doggie day care, a kong at night) this place is worth it!!! They have fancy dog beds, spacious crates, and video cameras so you can keep an eye on your baby while you are away. My dog absolutely loved Cahaba Beach Dog Park! The staff was very nice and you could tell they cared about my dog. He stayed in a junior suite, which had a lot of room and a TV. What was really great about CB Dog Park was that every suite had a live webcam! So you could log on from anywhere and see your dog! Another awesome thing was that they gave a report card of how your dog was. It showed his eating habits, and who his best friends at daycare were! They even took pictures of him playing on Facebook!
