Our table of eight had a great time last night. Great drinks and delicious food. Some of our favorites were the pork belly, the foie gras, the roast chicken and the scallops. Pasta special with shaved truffles was amazing. Nice, welcoming staff too. Can’t wait to return for the duck and octopus. More...

Had my first meal there last night with two friends. We were blown away by the quality and care Chef Bryan Gregg put into our meal. It was my guests first time there also and we will be back. I had the pork belly to start and the duck for my entree all paired well with the 2016 Domaine de la Solitude - Châteauneuf-du-Pape... Thanks! More...

A new restaurant for our followers to go to is the newly opened Cafe Chameleon in Bloomingdale. Had no idea of this place until I got an E-Mail from them this past week announcing their new executive chef and partner , Chef Bryan Gregg. For those of you who remember Escape in Montclair , Bryan was the executive Chef. Having eaten there many times I called up Don Osur and the lovely Aimee Famette Brash to join me last night as advance scouts for the Boys ( although they are not currently doing lunch ) , Have to give this one 5 OMG'S !!!!!!!! No pictures from last nights meal , but here;s what we had...you can see the description on the menu : Seared Foie Gois with grapes , Scallop appetizer , Red Snapper with butternut squash and a delicious roasted duck breast. We split a very tasty Key Lime Pie covered in raspberries with whipped cream on the side. Trey , the owner treated us to some home made Lemoncello . Just a fabulous evening with dear friends !!!! Visited last night for the first time, and we’ll be back. Warmly greeted and immediately impressed with the stylish decor, very atypical for this part of Jersey. Bar area very chic offers a “bar menu” which we’ll try on another visit. Drinks were excellent, with our party of 3 ordering a cucumber martini, lemon drop and a vodka with 3 Hand stuffed blue cheese olives. If you don’t see your favorite drink on the menu, just ask for what you’d like. Shared 2 apps, fois gras, and scallops. Entrees included halibut and duck breast, followed by a nice dessert selection. Our waiter Rosario was excellent and owner Trey spent time with us explained his concept. Nice touch. Can’t forget to thank chef Brian Gregg for creating and executing a great menu. You’ve probably guessed that Chameleon is not inexpensive, but the ambiance, food and spirits, and overall dining experience puts it in the class of North Jersey’s best. More...

WOW!! What else can I say. My wife and I were celebrating the 25th anniversary of our first date. We wanted something new and special. Cafe Chameleon didn’t disappoint. I will admit that the duck breast on the menu had me sold before we went. The decor is elegant. The Mozzarella Caprisi salad was to die for. This restaurant is a local farm to table. My local burrata and sweet Jersey tomatoes and roasted peppers was to die for. My duck was amazing and the kale was impressive. My wife had the sea scallops over creamless creamed corn. Delicious. Homemade desserts included a home made cheesecake (ok) and a peach crostata with ice cream. Definitely get the crostata. Can’t wait to go back. Tray was a great server! More...

I really don’t know where to begin? We eat out often and being so close to NYC we have had our share of amazing dining. This place is just what we needed close to home! First off we were greeted with smiles and the atmosphere is amazing! The decor and art work is beautiful! Then let’s just say they make everything from scratch! First came the bread and there was a side of butter and humus! Double points there. Then we had shrimp for an appetizer . Mango ice for pallet cleanse the off to the main dishes! My husband enjoy Chicken parmigiana with vodka sauce! It was so delicious! My husband is a pretty plain eater as well I must state! I had the sirloin dish with a side of polenta and it was all incredible. We enjoyed this meal while having the privilege of speaking with the owner a good part of the night. Trey and his mother were so warm, kind and welcoming! We loved this place so much we are enjoying dinner there again tomorrow! Well done Cafe Chameleon! Exceptional on every level! More...
