I have been going to Cactus Jack's for years. At one point in my life I lived very close and would have a couple meals a week there. I would bring out of town clients there and they loved it everytime. I never wrote a review because I'm just not much of a review guy but I was reading some of these reviews and thought I would chime in. For starters Megan and Gary are the sweetest and nicest folks. They have made me feel welcome there since day one. They have had challenges from their deck being washed away to staffing issues (as all bars and restaurants do at times... that's just the biz). The food has always been good and the deck is just perfect. As far as anyone that complains about dogs the patio obviously doesn't understand Evergreen or Colorado for that matter. As my dog sits next to me snoring as I write this review I can tell you Evergreen loves animals more than it loves people. Dogs are part of our community and are more loved than most people here. What it boils down to is this is a fantastic bar with great owners, customers and staff. The food is always consistent and good. Me and my dog love hanging on the patio and listening to great bands in the summer. If you are in Evergreen you have got to stop by. You won't be disappointed! More...

I love that the outdoor seating area is so close to the river/waterfall however I do not like that you have to get your own utensils and water (sodas alcohol and food are served by the waiter/ress)

Real good bands start at 2:00pm on weekends . Great music , good food and a very friendly staff make this a fantastic stop on a motorcycle ride . Sitting on the patio by beat Creek while watching live music is awesome . Great place to stop and relax if your in the Evergreen area . Just what the doctor ordered. Really cool patio on the river, we were there for $.75 wings which were really good, try a bunch of dipping sauces while you're chowing down. Fine dining this is not, but good cold beer, solid pub food, on the river in the heart of Evergreen it's hard to complain. Live music on the regular and while we had a quiet early afternoon on a weekday, things start rocking as you get to the weekend (especially in the summer.) More...

Great little restaurant/bar with a pool table and live music out on the patio. The back patio is right on the river so it has gorgeous views and the peaceful sounds of the water rushing past. Drinks are not too terribly expensive. Only criticism is that it can get pretty crowded on a Sunday afternoon and the waitresses might yell at you to get out of their way. A polite, firm "excuse me" is all that is needed. It was also a little hard to play pool with people standing in line to get drinks right in the spot where you need to shoot pool, but we managed. I saw a bluegrass band, the Wrecklunds, on the patio on a Sunday afternoon and the band was amazing with a nice sound system. Will definitely be back again! More...

Great food joint and bar located in the heart of downtown Evergreen. Their burgers and wings are worth stopping in for alone. They keep some of the latest hours in town, and are usually open when other things aren't. Historic location right on the creek with live music and an awesome patio. Great place to chill on a hot day on the back deck below the dam! Went there for Happy hour and ate a few 75¢ wings with blue cheese dressing. They also have live music at night inside. The burgers are named after Widespread Panic songs! I've been a Spreadhead for over 20 years and saw them at the New Orleans jazz fest last spring. They filled in for the Stones.
