My kids have been attending C2 in the Fremont Hub locations for a few months right now.  Tutors there are really great to work with. They are very good at getting the lesson understood by the student. My kids have come home with a much greater confidence in the subjects they were having problems with and their grades have improved.Pros: Tutors are very friendly and helpful, they really know their stuff and are able to get my kids through the items they are having problems with. Scheduling is flexible, cancellations need to be done 24 hours in advance  adding sessions is pretty easy just depends on availability of the tutor's schedules. Changes to schedule are pretty easily done so you don't need to worry about losing your place due to vacations or just not being able to make a session. Each tutor has a max of 3 students per session which is great. Zach at the front desk is the best, super helpful, easy to talk to and just an all around great guy.Cons: C2 is expensive (but I guess you get what you pay for). The lady there has an "in your face approach". When signing up be warned you will get the high pressure sales pitch to sign up and sign up to purchase a large block of hours. Think 'car dealership' type sales approach and be tough. No the session won't be taken by the person sitting in the waiting room to sign up after you. You do pay for 2 hour sessions and only get 1 hr 50 mins, they do the session at a weird time x:55pm to confuse the timing a little bit. But to be fair my kids have gone over 2hrs on a couple of sessions to finish up something, but you do pay for 110mins sessions and charged for 120 min sessions.Overall: Our experience there over the last 3 months or so have been positive. Bottom line they are helping my kids get up to speed on what they were having problems with and grades are improving. I can deal with the other stuff so long was my kids are improving and learning. SECRET WEAPON OF TIGER MOMS! I always drove by the ubiquitous learning centers but never took them seriously. Last semester, my son was struggling with his Calculus class. Out of desperation, I asked other Moms for help. They referred me to Janet of C2 Academy. With only 3 weeks left before the end of the semester, they arranged a Math Tutor who helped him to understand the subject. His grades went from a D to a B in that short time. Last Summer, we signed up for the SAT/ACT Prep course. They gave him sample tests regularly and reviewed the wrong answers. He ended up with a 1500 in his first SAT test. Many students feel extremely lost when it comes to standardized test-taking and I was one of those students. When I first came to C2, my tutors said their goal for me was to familiarize myself with every concept on the SAT and ACT, and ensure that I can approach these questions confidently. At first, it seems overwhelming but the tutors at C2 have immense experience and understand how to guide students through the learning process effectively. This included keeping a constant update on the student's weaknesses and strengths, taking practice tests to ensure that the students can apply what they learn, and assigning practice that would enhance the student's capabilities. C2 Education changed my life by helping me gain a 180 point increase on the SAT and a 3 point increase on the ACT. We found C2 to be an excellent program.  Very good staff, the teaching/instructional staff by and large is top notch, and the program, though expensive, was well worth the cost.  We used C2 for ACT Prep and AP rest prep.  I would add one caveat.  To get the most out of the program student must be motivated and committed to spending significant hours using the materials and working with the tutors, otherwise the cost isn't justified.  If you have a motivated student, C2 is an excellent choice, and this center in particular has a great group of people who are encouraging, thorough and professional. I started going to this tutoring center my freshman year of highschool because I had a hard time with understanding basic algebra and geometry. I also went here for SAT prep help as well as for help with writing my college app essays. Having gone here for so long, I feel like my oppinions on how this place opperates is valid. That being said, I have nothing but great things to say about all the tutors and Julie. Not only did the extra help I got here make it easy for me to ace all the ap/honors classes I took; it also helped me get into college (I was accepted into uci, ucd, ucsd, and ucr). Having read alot of the comments on here, Im shocked to find poor reviews. If you are willing to work hard to do better, Julie and her team will give you all the tools you need to do so. However, they arent magicians and they cant make you learn everything the week before an exam; it takes time to truly learn something. When you meet with Julie to get your schedule, listen to her! She is a genius when it comes to putting you on the fastest track to learn the material the right way. I see all these complaints about Julie being rude, but I think she is just honest. She is straight to the point and will tell you exactly what you need to work on (which is why you came to her in the first place). Even though she is a straight shooter, she will 100% listen to whatever problems you are having. Shes sat with me through countless break downs and helped me keep my sanity during some seriously stressful times. I was very uninformed about applying to colleges and taking the ACT/SAT, but thanks to C2 I managed to raise my scores and get accepted into my top colleges. The staff here is very friendly, approachable and dedicated to their work. I firmly believe that if it were not for their help I would not have been as successful in my college applications as I was. They helped me raise my ACT score by three points and went above and beyond to help me with my application essays. I was looking for ACT and SAT classes to sign up my kids for their upcoming tests and got  to talk to one of C2 education managers by the name of Julia.  She was so helpful and patient. She went through each step to make sure we were fully informed about our kids possible scores and where would they be in a few months from now when they start taking certain steps. My daughter does not like math and when I have tried working with her at home there are tears and frustration.  When she goes to C2 she works on math for 1 hour and 50 min but comes out happy and willing to return.  They have an excellent staff and diagnostic tools that make their service top notch. My daughter is much more confident in math and feeling good about herself.  I also really appreciate their flexibility.  Once you pay for a block of hours you can use them as you choose so there is no penalty for going on vacation or skipping due to scheduling conflicts. The best decision I made for my children's education was to enroll them in C2 of Pleasanton.  Let's face it, even though we live in an area of town where the schools are highly ranked, our kids still need supplemental help as teachers simply don't have time to give each student the attention they may need.  During my initial meeting with Arlandis, the center director, I grilled him with lots of questions because I certainly did not want to invest time and money if I didn't think it was going to give me the results I was looking for.  After having my kids enrolled in other learning centers in the past and even at a private school at one point (which had been a disappointment), I was almost looking for a reason not to enroll them in C2. However, Arlandis's professionalism, confidence and experience assured me that our high schooler son and middle schooler daughter were going to be in great hands.  I ended up purchasing one of their top packages which gave us lots of hours and also allowed for college prep assistance.  I figured it was a great deal compared to putting them in private school, but even better in the sense that we get more 1 on 1 help.  We have been with Arlandis and his amazing team of tutors for almost 18 months and I absolutely see the benefits of C2 in their grades and in their confidence. They not only helped my kids with math, writing, chemistry, but they have also taught them how to learn and how to help themselves; skills that will last them a lifetime! My son just took his SATs and scored 1550 (nearly perfect score!), all thanks to the practice and encouragement he received at C2 Pleasanton from Arlandis and his team.  My daughter who use to have major testing anxiety now has a 4.0 GPA and building confidence in herself and her study skills.  I also want to highlight that what truly impresses me about the culture of this center (which completely sets it apart from any other center I've had experience with and even from some of the schools my kids have attended) is that Arlandis and his team truly care about each student and their academic and emotional well being. This is different than all tutoring centers. I went here and experienced it firsthand. The teachers commit to Teach you. Even if you or your student is not  interested, the teachers will make them love it. You are able to cancel your tutoring days. It must be 1 day before or earlier. You  can not cancel on the day of that session unless you are fine with your child just not showing up that day. You are able to not show up. The owners are fantastic and will do meetings with parents pointing out specifically what your child is good at and what they aren't. C2 does ACT,SAT,PSAT,COGAT,IOWA test prep. They also help with regular school tests homeworks and classes. Teachers will assign homework but parents and students can request to not receive homework if they have a valid reason. C2 does group study, It may seem like your children will not benefit but they will. 4 people at the max per table. Regularly it's 2-3 but the maximum is 4. The students  focus on learning, There is minimal side chatter. The room is very peaceful. The students focus on each other and do not disturb the teacher. The prices are good especially if you are referred by someone. If you decide to go to this place, Say you are referred by me so you get an extra amount of hours. The Teachers are good, They work with your schedule and help you or your child out. From my experiences, Good Teachers i know of that are very good Is Paul, Devin, Bonnie. Any of them are good in all subjects. The facility also provides snacks for your students while they are working them. Along with snacks there is drinks like coffee and water and tea, Yes sugar comes with it. If your curious or the health concerned parent. Yes you can request for your child not to have snacks. But usually snacks are Doritos, Sun Chips, Lays, Candy like Reeses and halloween candy on halloween and candy canes, Trail Mix, Gold Fish, Peanuts and M&M trail mix, Pretzels, Granola bars of type. Also C2 gives you many chances to get extra hours for studying and get starbucks gift cards that are worth 5 dollars each. We bought a big package almost 3 years ago.  Because we moved to south San Jose. We seldom use any hours.  Until we found out my boy could use these hours for his SAT preparation. We start coming to C2 Cupertino one class every Saturday. While waiting kid, I met a friend W. there. She told me how benefits her daughter get from C2 and also recommend Ethan Coate as counselor. Because our C2 counselor left, I request to switch to Ethan.  First time we met Ethan, he told my boy the truth his situation is in now. Truth always is painful. After telling truth, Ethan start to encourage my boy and offer how C2 can help to utilize ours hours. My boy surprisely agreed to follow Ethan's recommendations. He started 3 classes per weeks. Everyone who works here is very kind and understanding! I started attending C2 in hopes of raising my ACT score. I got a 24 on my first practice test (which is out of 36) and was not happy! After hard work with their dedicated tutors and endless free practice tests, I got a 33 on the real test! Teresia is the best one there to talk. She is very informative and knows how to talk to parents and kids. Very friendly. My son, Jimmy LOVESSSS WINSTON. I just heard recently Winston is going to leave C2 Education and my son started to cry and I kid you not there was puddles on the ground. Winston is the best teacher there and I'm sad he is leaving. We have been using the services at C2 of Mission Viejo for over a year and half for both our kids. My older child,  who is applying for college, and now our younger child who is currently a junior in high school.  They really help with college student and offer everything you need.  Key is SAT prep which really helped both our kids.  I am just guessing my older child got an additional 200 points on his SAT because of C2.  Also there is tutoring for AP classes.  Finally with giving consructive input on essays for college applications. I liked it better when it was small, with just four-five tutors and a more intimate atmosphere. But the tutors are very good, most with master's degrees. Nadrina is *very* knowledgeable about math, college interviews, start-ups, how to make yourself appealing to ivy league schools by selecting a major that isn't overrun with applicants (really-- never thought about that). Michelle is a lot of fun and makes even grammar entertaining, and stays as late as you need to when writing college essays. Gabriel knows pretty much everything about U.S. History (he has a ph.d). In addition, Will explains everything in detail concerning AP NSL, better than the teachers at school. A tutoring center is all about the tutors, and the tutors are really nice people here, they take an interest in you and how you're feeling that day, and they're, again, very knowledgeable. More...

I'm very impressed by the services at C2 Dublin. The office staff are super friendly and helpful. There is always someone picking up the phone when you call. I'm writing to defend and commend C2 and it's staff in general.  We've worked with 3 different directors in various locations in California.  They are interested in your child first as well your family.  Your director will ask a lot of pointed questions upfront and propose a reasonable plan for your student.  They assume you have no time to waste.  We've used their semi-private tutors form academics, ACT/SAT practice tests (free), and help with college essays/supplements applications.  The counseling sessions for the college process are included and complementary/free if you purchase tutoring sessions. In our experience, The College Counseling and essay coaching IS the REAL value for money and the reason we need the tutoring services at all.   Don't mind the negative reviews.  The student intake process can be intimidating for clueless, unprepared or spoiled children, and their narcissistic parents. When my daughter first started at C2, I was a bit hesitant because of the cost. But after seeing how much she has learned and benefitted from being tutored there, we are so glad we signed her up. From day one, she really liked and appreciated the help she was getting. She said all the tutors were kind, patient and clear in their instructions. She has learned so much, improving in her writing and math skills. Her SAT scores improved dramatically (approx. 400 points), getting scores that make her more qualified for the UC system and other schools that were not within her reach before C2. The best part of it for me is seeing how ready she is to go to college now. Both my husband and I feel like any gaps in her education from going to large public schools has been filled by the help she has gotten at C2. I highly recommend C2 to other parents.
